"You know I love you right?", you said whilst admiring the dark haired boy.
He looked at you with a blunt face and responded,"I don't...I don't think I've ever had".
Before, this kind of response would hurt you and make you feel...hopeless? Like something had been taken away from you. Like happiness was just a mere myth.
You just smiled in response already used to the cold responses .
"Well just in case you know! After all what if something happens to you or me? I want to at least let you know I care for you", you gave a big grin towards the icy man.
"Tsch, what a waste", he quietly said before walking away in a fast pace.
"Bye love, see you later!", you waved at him with so much love in your eyes that they sparkled. A beautiful e/c.

As soon as you couldn't see him anymore you entered your house and sat on the floor, and the door slid open to reveal Shinobu.
"Shinobu! Come sit here", you gestured her to sit beside you and she complied.
She then looked at you with worry.
"Why do you look so down?", you asked.
She was silent for some time before talking.
"Y/n, we need to talk", she said sternly,"about Giyu".
Your heart slightly dropped knowing where this was going.
You dropped your head a bit low.
"Yes?", you asked.
"Well...I think you should really care about yourself," she patted your back,"I'm really worried...all of us are"

You knew that the other pillars were wary about you getting hurt because of Giyu and only wanted what was best for you.
"I know I know Shinobu," you looked back up again towards her," but I'm truly fine".
You gave a warm smile.
"No y/n, you don't. You always care about Giyu before yourself, before your wellbeing and it's not healthy for you", she had tears in her eyes.
You knew. You knew that you were neglecting yourself for Giyu you always washed his clothes, cleaned his room, cook him is favourite dishes and always showed nothing but utmost love and care. Whereas he would give you the cold shoulder despite your efforts.

You placed your  hand on Shinobu's shoulder," please. Trust me I'm fine".
Shinobu knew she couldn't change your mind and hugged you and left still feeling sorry for you.

You looked up to the sky and wondered:
How is Giyu doing?

Giyu POV

What an annoying women she is always acting towards me like I'm her husband or something. It's getting tiredsome and I don't know how long I can take it.
"Giyu!", I heard Uzui call for my name.
"What?", I responded.
"Soooo how's love girl?", Uzui stopped in front of me and knelt," Good?".
I sighed.
"I just want her to be gone".
Uzui widened his eyes," that isn't very nice or flamboyant to say", he sat down next to me," you should give her a chance".
I turned to him in disgust.
"With her?", I questioned.
"Why not?... I mean she's pretty and loving oh and has a body of a-"
I cut him off before he could speak such incoherent things.
"Ha, sorry got a bit too far there", he placed his hands on the back of his head," but seriously please give her a chance".
I turned away and responded," but...how can you when you don't even like the person?", I questioned.
" well, you must have some sort of feelings towards her after all she has done".
I thought about it and blushed about her I love you.

Darn it why am I blushing?

Uzui smiled," see. You do like her but you just don't want to admit it".
"No", I bluntly replied.
Uzui hummed in response and said," well let me just tell you something", he leaned in closer and said," sometimes you realise the person who you thought you didn't need was the one you cared the most", he leaned away and stood up,"well see you later!" .

I thought about what he said and was conflicted by it.
No no no I don't like her not even remotely.
Yes it's just the heart playing tricks.
Must be.

Original pov

It was now evening and the bright sunlight fell and was replaced by the beaming pearl.
"Giyu, come eat some more", Mitsuri handed him some rice balls but he felt no appetite but instead was thinking about what Uzui has told him.
"Hey Giyu you ok?", Sanemi asked a bit annoyed.
"Umm yes", Giyu responded.
Suddenly a messenger came and the pillars stood up in response not knowing what was happening.
Then the messenger spoke out the news and each word they all become more and more worried.
"Y/n.....", Kyojuro quietly said.
"No no this can't be happening", Shinobu cried.
Uzui comforted Mitsuri, who was covering her face with her legs and visibly saddened.
The rest were still in shock.
Giyu's eyes were wide and he didn't know what to say, he felt his heart drop for some reason and he could feel it aching.

He thought about the times you always would call him love and say I love you, taking care of him even though he wouldn't ever feel grateful and how much you loved him.
He clenched his chest feeling the pain taking control over him and started to weep.
"Y/n, I'm so sorry I'm so sorry please", he sobbed even more," please come back, I will give you my attention, I will show you care, I will finally accept you and I will finally love you", he couldn't explain why he felt such tremendous amount of pain but all he knew was he lost an angel sent from heaven. A gift for him and he threw it away.

"Please, forgive me"

Timeskip

Giyu sat down under a Sakura tree and looked upon the sky, smiling.
"How are you love? Are you doing fine up there?"
It has been 10 years since you passed away and ever since then he showed you his love even though you weren't there anymore.
"You know, I was stubborn back then...I truly do love you and I hope you'll forgive me", tears swell up his eyes," god I miss your voice"
He was about to sob until he felt a sudden warmth passing by...it was comforting and homely, it was filled with so much love.
He smiled.
"Thank you"

Yesssss I finished this within two hours somehow :0. Usually I take a day or two but ya girl did it somehow. Anyways, how was this chapter? Good? Bad? Meh? Could use a little more sauce? Not your cup of tea? Well sorry *bows down*  but I did try to make an angst.
