You were working in the fields since your father was very ill and getting by daily was a struggle, however that didn't bother you nor your siblings much since you had each other and all the sweet memories you shared together was gift.

You were singing a soft tune whilst picking up crops from the fields when a booming voice was heard.
"Hello there miss!"
You were startled by the sudden outburst and turned towards the voice.

He was a well built young man, very handsome too. The young man's hair was very bright and shoulder length, his eyes were...captivating. Almost like the pair amber eyes were hypnotising you. He also was wearing what seemed to be a uniform of some sort.

"Y-Yes?", you replied shyly.
Your h/c soft hair were in a bit of a untidy state due to the long working hours and your kimono was very dirty.
The man stared at you for a moment before answering.
"What is your name?", he asked boldly.
You widened your eyes in surprise.

He's so confident.

"U-umm", you were unsure whether to tell him or not, after all he was a stranger.
He seemed to notice you feeling uncomfortable.
"I'll tell my name first then, my name is Rengoku Kyojuro!", he exclaimed with a beaming smile.

You gasped.

"R-Rengoku? You mean you're the flame pillar!", you questioned in excitement.
He nodded," so you know my family's name!".
You jogged towards him in a excited manner.
"Wow! I never thought I would meet a hashira!", you held his hands not realising your sudden movement," It's an honour!", your eyes sparkled and you smiled widely.
His cheeks seemed to turn a bit pink and he looked down onto your hands holding his, you realised and quickly let go of his.
"I-I'm very sorry I got a bit too excited I guess", you scratched the back of your head in embarrassment.

Great y/n, just great.

"No need to apologise...after all it's my pleasure to be in contact with such beauty", he gave you a closed eyes smile and the sun reflected his godly features.
You blushed madly and got flustered, fidgeting your kimono and looking down to your feet.
"O-oh", you replied not knowing how to reply.

"Hmm actually I never got your name", he said.
"Ah yes sorry! My name is l/n f/n!", you replied bowing down.
He chuckled and you looked up.
"W-What"? You asked in confusion.
"You're just very cute y/n".
"E-eh?"
He then patted you on the shoulder and turned around.
"Well then, I'll see you later!", he waved towards you whilst walking away.
"B-bye Rengoku!", you waved back.

What a handsome man.

Timeskip

It had been four months since the first encounter and ever since then you both started to see each other quite often, and every time you and Rengoku got closer and closer.
The bond between you two became tight and soon enough the both of you felt feelings for each other, it was more than a simple friendship.

"Rengoku?", you asked whilst stroking his hair.
He hummed in response.
"When is your next mission?", you asked admiring his features.
"Two days from now", he responded seeming to enjoy his hair being stroked.
You sighed," I wish you could stay longer", you frowned a bit.
He opened his eyes and looked at your e/c eyes.
"Don't worry I'll be back. I'll always be back", he responded and sat up next to you.
"I miss you when you're gone", you confessed," I miss your company".
"Is that a love confession I hear?", he jokingly said whilst leaning closer.
You blushed and pushed him lightly," n-no it's just that I'm used to your company so without you it's just weird", you replied visibly flustered.
He grinned and back hugged you, the sudden contact made you tense up and freeze.
"Hey relax it's fine...I like you", he confessed and burrowed his face onto the crook of your neck, his warm breath touching the delicate skin.
You shivered from the warmth and just froze there.
"Y-you do?"
"Yep!"
"You're not joking are you"
He sighed and turned you around to face him.
"Why would I be lying to a beauty like you?", he said before leaning in to give a soft and sweet peck on the lips.
You were shocked and honestly in disbelief, the guy who you harboured feelings for likes you.
"W-well you know...you could've been joking?", you stuttered.
"Well I'm not obviously!", he exclaimed and hugged you again.
Your face was on his chest resting and he intertwined your fingers with his.
"Hmm~ I like this", he squeezed you a bit tighter but not to the point you couldn't breath, it was comforting having such strong arms holding you this tightly," lets stay like this for a bit longer", he stated.

You nodded in response and a smile crept onto your face.
"I like that smile", he said catching a glimpse of you," it makes me happy when I know you're happy".
You blushed and looked at him.
"So are we now official?", you asked.
"Yep", he responded," now come closer", with that he pushed you closer to him and the both of you stayed like that whilst falling asleep soundly.

Also next week I should be able to update normally since I don't think I'll have much to do but I'm not sure.
