Seto POV~

(~-_-)~ Flashback ~(-_-~)

Smoke was everywhere. The house was burning! I ran downstairs to where I had left my parents in the living room. However, I froze in the doorway when I heard laughter. It was not joyous laughter, but a cold, dark laugh that I would never forget.

My tiny, 8-year-old body shook like a leaf as I peeked around the corner. There, in the middle of the room, was a demon. He was the one laughing, and he was standing on something. It was my father! I could only watch helplessly as the demon crushed my father to death. Suddenly, mom came up behind me.

"Run, Seto. Go to Master Wingard and tell him what has happened. Run, and never look back." Mom whispered in my ear. Tears streaming down my face, I nodded.

As I ran from the house, I heard my mother scream in pain, but I didn't look back. When I returned the next day with Master Wingard, the house was just a pile of ashes, slowly being blown away by the wind. I swore that I would hunt and kill every demon I could from that point on.

~(-_-~) Flashback Over (~-_-)~

Master Wingard called to me from downstairs, snapping me out of my painful memories.

"Seto! Come eat breakfast! Today's the big day, so you have to have a full stomach!" Master Wingard yelled. Today I would go into the world to fulfill that vow I made 10 years ago because I became a full-fledged sorcerer last week. But I'm not evil, sorcerer just sounds cooler than wizard.

I hopped down the stairs, grabbing my bag as I went. When I walked into the kitchen, I was greeted by a table full of bacon, pancakes, and eggs. It was actually pretty surprising, because I usually did all of the cooking and cleaning to pay back Master Wingard for taking me in. Besides, Master Wingard was becoming really old. What if he fell and broke his leg or something and I wasn't here to help him? I shook my head. Master Wingard is a wizard, he can take care of himself.

I sat down just as Master Wingard bustled into the room with a huge bag.

"Ah, there you are, Seto! Eat up, you have a long journey ahead of you and you probably won't eat this well for a while! I already packed provisions and saddled your horse for you." Master Wingard said, presenting the bag to me.

"Uhm, wow. Thanks, Master Wingard." I said.

"Don't mention it! But while we eat, I have something important to tell you." Master Wingard's normally jolly face fell and he nervously ran his fingers through his beard. He sat down and sighed, taking a deep breath. "Seto, you are the most powerful sorcerer to live in hundreds of years. That is the reason the demon attacked your family." I gasped, but quieted as he continued. "The other thing is... you are immortal. You have so much magic energy in you that you have now stopped aging. Just like the demons you despise, you will always look like you do now. But Seto, you can be killed, you just won't die from old age. If anyone can take out the demons, it's you, my boy." Master Wingard had happy yet sorrowful tears in his eyes now.

"I'll try my best." I said, too stunned to say anything else. I was immortal?!

An hour later, I was leaving on my horse Annie. She looked a bit like a cow, white with black splotches all over her. But she was one of the fastest horses ever, and my constant friend.

Where shall we go, Seto? Annie asked me in my head. One of the first things Master Wingard did was teach me how to forge a telekinetic connection with someone.

Let's head towards the north. I hear that there are some pretty bad demons in the mountains up there. I thought back, and Annie adjusted our course. According to the map, which said "Here there be dragons" above the mountains, they were flame demons. It made sense because it was a volcano. Well, time to kill some demons.

His name sounds like the beginning of "Wingardium leviosa" (Harry Potter :3)

He looks like Santa Claus from the movie The Guardians, only a lot smaller.

So yea. Fun.
