For the next two weeks Patrick and Pete meet in secret on top of the same building where they first met. They alternated between watching the sunrise and sunset with each other, agreeing that both were equally beautiful. They sat on the ledge in silence closer together than when Pete first appeared, Patrick's previous hesitation subsiding.
They both know that it's against the rules of both Heaven and Hell but that's what makes it more worthwhile. The small thrill in knowing that they could get in serious trouble for even being in the same place at the same time, let alone sitting together. But that wasn't the point. Patrick found that Pete was nothing like the demons the angels had warned him about. He knew that there were some who were like that but Pete wasn't one of them. Pete was gentle and kind and listened to what he had to say, as did Patrick.
Pete did however reveal some things about his past, mainly how he became the demon that he is now. He explained it as being a simple mistake, something that could've been avoided if Pete had actually thought about the consequences of his actions.
A long time ago, there was a big rebellion that had took place in Heaven. Lucifer wanted to overthrow God and take the Heavens as his own. He even persuaded a third of the angels to join him and rebel against God himself. Pete was part of that group. He listened to Lucifer and, at the time, it sounded real legit and he had the idea stuck in his head. There was no talking him out of it now that he was on board. The rebelling angels didn't win and were punished for going against God. They were all kicked out and banished, never to return, but that didn't stop Lucifer from finally getting what he wanted; power and something to make his. Thus creating Hell and making the fallen angels his demons.
Patrick doesn't believe that it's Pete's fault at all. It was a mistake that anyone could've made, even Patrick, but Pete had to be punished along with the others. It makes sense now that Patrick thinks about it, the whole hatred for demons and why there are so many boundaries and rules. And why they couldn't meet anywhere else except for the top of this building, out of sight by the other angels and demons. But Patrick can deal with it for now.
Pete, however, cannot.
He grabs onto Patrick's hand and pushes forward off the ledge making Patrick fall with him. It startles Patrick at first, the sudden falling motion making his heart beat double but he quickly relaxes. He tightens his grip on Pete's hand and begins to flap his wings in time with Pete's. They fly high above the city having the time of their lives, feeling the wind in their wings, hand in hand. Then Pete turns and wraps his arms around Patrick's waist, taking him by surprise, and looks him in the eye with a half smile on his lips. He flexes his wings and thrust them down, making the two burst up through the air higher above the city. Then Pete fully smiles and spreads his wings so they gently float down. Patrick throws his arms around Pete's neck to help hold himself up and it brings their faces closer together, their noses slightly touching.
Pete stares into Patrick's colorful eyes and Patrick into Pete's wide browns, just gazing. Then Pete shifts his head slightly and presses his lips to Patrick's, soft and sweet, slow and hesitant at first until Pete licks at the seam of Patrick's lips, his tongue begging to be let in. And Patrick opens his mouth then tangles his tongue with Pete's. They don't think of any consequences, in fact, there are none where they are. There's just the two of them, connected and pressed together until they have to flap their wings again to stay afloat.

Pete was given so much shit for what had happened with Patrick. Gerard somehow found out what Pete had been up to. Again. He knew there had to be a reason why Lucifer kept him around.
There was no hiding what he had been doing with Patrick in his free time, no matter how hard he tried. And he had to be punished for it but he wasn't sure how they did punishment in Hell. Until today.
It was fucking brutal.
Gerard swung his fist into Pete's jaw, hard enough to make his entire head vibrate. "What did I tell you about the angels?! You don't talk to the angels, (another punch) you don't touch the angels, (a blow to the gut) and you definitely don't kiss the fucking angels (a knee to the face)!"
Pete slouches down, his arms aching from Frank's tight hold on them and his knees were sore from being forced to kneel on the hard floor. Pete spits the blood that flooded in his mouth onto the floor, landing beside one of his knees and says, "Fuck you, Gee." and it earns him a stinging backhand to his cheek. Pete isn't going to let Gerard scare him off. He can beat and torture him all he wants but he will go back and see Patrick no matter what. He'd take the punishment for both him and Patrick if he has to. "Go ahead, hit me again."
Gerard does as such, punching him hard enough in the stomach to make Pete almost vomit but it did knock the air from his lungs. Pete hunches over, trying to regain his breath.
"Stay away from him Pete," Gerard says. "I know you probably miss being up there with God and everything but you're down here with us now. You're in Hell and it's no one's fault but your own. Know your place! What you're doing is forbidden, Pete. Do you know what happens if angels and demons fall in love?"
Pete honestly doesn't know. They've never explained to him what would happen, never even mentioned it before. This was the first time Pete was hearing of angels and demons falling in love and Pete was suspecting that maybe it had happened before. But Pete didn't care what happened and honestly wasn't too worried about it. He wasn't in love he just thought Patrick was a great person; beautiful inside and out. He wouldn't call it love just yet.
Pete shakes his head, "Don't care," He says weakly.
"You have no idea what the fuck you're doing, Pete."
"So crucify me." Pete looks up at Gerard and smirks as a final 'fuck you' before he punches Pete again, directly in the nose. Pete's head lolls backward from the force and Pete drops his head forward again to spit blood. Crimson begins to run down his philtrum and pooling in the center of his cupid's bow before running down his lips, dripping onto the floor between his knees.
Pete's face is throbbing and it's getting harder and harder to keep his head up. He's worn out, achy and sore and he's not sure if Gerard is done with him yet. He hopes he just has some choice words for him, he could handle that but he couldn't take another hit or he'd black out. Gerard does eventually say, "You are stupid Pete. And you are going to bring the whole world down with your stupidity."
Pete can take that.
Frank lets Pete's arms free and Pete collapses onto the floor, too weak to even catch himself. Gerard and Frank walk off, leaving Pete lying on the floor as the blood from his nose pools around his face. He closed his eyes, suddenly feeling tired and wanting to sleep.
He's not sure if he falls asleep or passes out.
