A/N: I know this chapter ended up being a little longer than usual but I had a lot I wanted to do for this chapter. I hope all of you don't mind and I hope all of you enjoy it.

P.O.V. Nazca

I sighed as I walked down the halls of Star Shade. I need to talk to Mrs. Rosette about King. When I saw her I walked up to her. "Mrs. Rosette I need help," I said looking at her.

"I'll try but I can't guarantee that I'll be of any help," She said looking at me.

"It's King," I said looking at her.

"Your familiar? Why is something wrong with him?" She asked looking at me.

"No, well not physically at least. It's just . . . He never listens to me. Even when I ask him nicely he doesn't show any interest in trying to help me," I said looking at her.

"Oh well I'm afraid I can't help you with that. To be honest I don't think that I'd ever be able to control an A-Rank demon. The two of you will just have to come to some kind of understanding," She said looking at me.

I sighed hearing this and looked at the ground. "That's easier said than done," I said looking at her.

"I don't doubt it. I remember having a hard time getting Fang to listen to me when I first marked him." She said looking at me. I sighed hearing this and I looked at her.

"Although until you get him under control maybe go see Mr. Mizu he'll help you connect with your familiar. He'll also teach you how to use your magic for things other than taming," she said looking at me with a smile.

"Yeah I know, I tried going to him and it didn't work. King didn't show any signs of wanting to be friends. The magic lessons aren't going that great either," I said looking at her. When I said this she sighed and got up.

"Well then I'm sorry to say I don't know what else to tell you. I guess you could try to talk to him but other than that I don't think I'm going to be of much help," She said as she stood up. She then started to walk away and I sighed.

I then stood up and walked outside. When I did I started to walk down the streets of Star Shade. I then saw some of the males that I trained with. They weren't exactly pleasant company.

"Well if it isn't the failure that can't control her own familiar. You know I bet the reason he's not listening to you is because of your pathetic magic signature," One of the males said looking at me.

"Yeah it's so weak I'm surprised that you can use any form magic let alone tame a A-Rank demon," he said looking at me. Like they have any room to talk.

Their magic signature isn't much stronger than mine. Yet they never stop harassing me about being weaker than them. "What's wrong got nothing to say? I bet it's because you know we're right," One of the males said looking at me.

The two were quite for a moment until I heard one chuckle slightly. "You know you'll never get to meet your mother," When I heard this I tensed up.

"I heard you got your magic from her side of the family. I also heard you want to meet her again. Well if she's anything like you then she's probably already dead," One of the males said looking at me.

I stood up hearing this and began to walk away. There's no way my mother's dead. Father talked about her all the time not to mention that she would write us almost every day.

So there's no way she's dead. I know I'll meet her one day. I then walked into one of the training grounds we had. I need to practice some more.

P.O.V. Shimo

I sighed as I held my chest. I'll have to be more careful next time. That damn human actually caused some damage. If I was a normal demon I might be dead.

I then heard some footsteps and smiled. I looked to the entrance of the cave I had been staying in and saw four familiar magic signatures. Wait four? Something's wrong I only requested three.

I then saw two males and two females walk into the cave. However I wasn't excited to see one. Another member of the royal guard was with them.

"Kūsō? What are you doing here?" I asked looking at him.

"The king sent me here with the three you requested. He believes that you're no longer suited to handle this mission alone. So he sent me here to help. He wants me to supervise your every move. So from this point on I'm in charge of killing King," he said looking at me.

I gritted my teeth hearing this and looked at him. "So if you don't mind I'll be taking the Star Shade badge you obtained," he said looking at me.

I once again gritted my teeth and reached into my pocket. I then pulled out the badge and handed it to him. He smiled seeing this and tossed it to the only male beside me and him in the room.

"You know what to do," he said looking at them. When he said this they nodded and all left the room. He then smirked and looked at me. "You stay here while I see what we can do," he said looking at me.

He smiled seeing my frustration and walked out of the room. "Oh and try not to get in my way while you wound is healing," he said looking at me with a smile.

"I hope you know what you're doing," I said watching him leave. I then created a statue made of ice that looked exactly like him.

"Because if you don't," I then placed my hand on the statue and it shattered into hundreds of pieces.

P.O.V. Nazca

"I guess that's enough training for today," I said panting heavily. I then started to walk down the streets of Star Shade. I know King's at the dorm.

Blaze and [Name] won't be back until tomorrow so I'll have the dorm to myself. I then felt a strange pressure and looked around. I didn't see anything and continued to walk.

I then heard someone running towards me and turned around to see a male running towards me. When I saw this I turned around and began to run.

I knew that it was only a matter of time before he caught me. I was already so tired from training today and this only made me more tired. It was only a few seconds before he caught up to me.

He tackled me and placed his hand over my mouth. When he did some ice appeared around my mouth sealing it closed. A female then appeared and placed her hands together.

When she pulled them apart she had something connecting them. It looked like a rope made out of medal. She then walked behind me and tied my hands together.

A second female then walked forward and looked at me. She then touched the female and they both turned invisible. She then touched me and I can only assume that I also became invisible.

They then pushed me towards the edge of Star Shade. I tried to struggle but I was so exhausted that I wasn't much of a challenge. We then passed through the barrier and I started to lose hope.

I then saw that they once again became visible. We walked for almost an hour and I felt more and more of my energy leave me. I eventually got to the point to where I was struggling to walk.

I fell over from lack of energy and the female that was holding my restraints pulled me back to my feet and pushed me forward. We once again started to walk and I was close to passing out.

I then heard a loud sound from behind me. When I heard this I felt my restraints loosen and looked behind me. I saw that the male was impaled on a large shadow that came from the ground.

It disappeared quickly and I looked at the two females in front of me. The two then turned around and looked a bit panicked. I then saw a figure come down and use a sycthe to slash one of the females across the chest.

The figure then jumped away and the last female jumped into the air and turned invisible. I then heard another loud sound and saw the females body fly into a tree and she fell to the ground.

When she hit the ground I saw a small pool of blood start to form around her body. "Are you alright?" I heard a familiar voice ask. I then looked up and saw King looking at me. "They didn't hurt you did they?" He asked a little concerned.

I smiled seeing this and felt my body give out like before and I started to fall. When I did King rushed forward and caught me. "Everything's going to be fine," he said as I felt the restraints around my wrist suddenly disappear.

He then picked me up and started to walk towards Star Shade. I was relieved to finally be able to rest. After a few minutes of being able to rest I looked at him.

"How . . . How did you know?" I asked looking at him.

"Is that really important?" He asked looking at me.

"King . . . Please," I said looking at him. When I said this he looked away and continued to walk.

"It was your magic signature," he said looking at me. I became a little depressed hearing this and looked away.

"My pathetically weak magic signature," I said looking away from him.

"Not exactly, your magic signature is very beautiful. So the moment it became distressed I noticed right away," he said looking at me. I blushed slightly hearing this and looked at him.

"You think I have a beautiful magic signature?" I asked looking at him.

"Yes," he said as he continued to walk forward.

"Then how come you never help me with training?" I asked looking at him a little upset.

"It's because I know you can handle those simple tasks. I know you don't need my help and I don't want my tamer to become weak so I don't help," he said looking ahead. We then crossed the barrier and he looked at me.

"But this is different. Those were B-Rank demons. It's different from what you're used to. So I came," he said looking at me.

"Why?" I asked looking at him.

"It's because I didn't want to lose," he said looking at me. I became confused hearing this and he stopped and looked at me. "Despite how I act I'm actually really fond of you," he said looking at me.

"How? How can you be fond me? After everything I've said and done to you," I said looking at him.

"It's because when I was hurt you showed concern and when I completed a task you complimented me. You were the first person to ever treat me like my life has any value," he said looking at me.

I then noticed that we were in front of the dorm. He then walked into the dorm and into my room. He then walked over to my bed and laid me down. He turned around and was about to walk away until I got up. "King, wait," I said looking at him.

King turned around and I walked towards him. "Thank you for telling me this and-" I said looking at him. I then tried to reach around him and he backed away slightly. "What are you doing?" He asked looking at me. When he said this I looked at him a little confused.

"What do you mean? I'm just trying to give you a hug," I said looking at him. He seemed both unsure and a little confused by this and I looked at him. "King . . . Have you never been hugged before?" I asked looking at him.

When I said this he seemed to tense up slightly and looked at me. I then sighed and looked at him. "It's okay King. Just relax, I'm not going to hurt you," I said looking at him. I then moved forward slowly and wrapped my arms around him.

I felt him tense up when I did. "King, I'm sorry. If I had known that's why you were acting like that I never would have yelled at you. I'm . . . I'm sorry," I said trying to hide my face from him.

I felt ashamed of what I had done and said to him. Now that I know the truth I feel horrible. I then felt him relax slightly and wrap his arms around me. "Nazca . . . If it really means that much to you . . . I'll start training with you," he said looking at me.

When he said this I smiled and we separated. "King I'll try to be nicer to you, and don't worry I'll try not to become weak," I said looking at him. When I said this he smiled and left the room.

When he left the room I walked over to my bed and started to sleep. I'm glad that he told me all this. I can't wait to tell Blaze and [Name] that me and King are starting to getting along.
