Chapter 3: Familar enemy
P.O.V. [Name]
I was walking down the street looking for the house that had my number on it. Blaze unfortunately got a different number and we went our separate ways when we got out of the building.
When I found the house that had my number on it I saw Blaze standing in front of it with a smile. When I reached him I looked at him a little confused.
"What are you doing here Blaze?" I asked looking at him. When I asked this he smiled and held up a piece of paper with the same number as mine.
"I found someone that had the same number as you and traded with them," he said looking at me. I sighed hearing this and then smiled.
"How did you find someone with the same number as me? There were literally hundreds of people in that room," I said looking at him.
"I waited in front of the house and found someone willing to trade," he said looking at me. Of course he waited in front of the house. He took the easy way out instead of actually looking.
"Well let's see what our new house looks like," I said looking at him. When I said this he nodded and we walked into the house. When we did I saw a female with red hair and red eyes sitting on the coach.
"Oh hello my name's Nazca," she said quietly.
"Oh so I guess you're the third member of our team," Blaze said looking at her. She nodded when Blaze said this and I smiled. "Well I'm Blaze and this is my friend [Name]," he said looking at her.
"So Blaze what classes do you have?" I asked looking at him.
"Well first I have weapon specialization, then hand to hand combat training, then last I have Slayer tactics. What about you?" he said looking at me.
"First is Slayer tactics, after that I have hand to hand combat training, then last I have weapon specialization," I said looking at him.
"Well at least we'll get to train together," he said looking at me. I then turned my attention to the female and smiled. "So Nazca what are your classes?" I asked looking at her.
"Oh well first it's magic control, then slayer tactics, then after that I have medical support, " she said looking at me.
"Why are your classes different from ours?" Blaze asked looking at her.
"U-Um it's probably because I'm a tamer while you two are knights," she said looking at away from us. She seems like the shy type.
"Alright so I guess now all that's left to do is decide who get's which room," I said looking at the two in front of me.
"Um . . . Th-there's only two rooms one with one bed and one with two beds," she said looking at us.
"I guess we'll take the room with two beds. After all we're friends and as long as we're in different beds it shouldn't be that weird," Blaze said looking at her. She smiled hearing this and got up.
"Thanks, I guess I'll see you two tommrow then," she said getting up. She then walked into the room and Blaze sighed and looked at me.
"Well I guess we should go to our room and get set up. Then we'll have to decide who the leader of our team is," Blaze said looking at me.
"Oh, well we can decide that tommrow morning. Right now I think it'd be best if we have a look around town," I said looking at Blaze. When I said this he nodded and we walked out of the house.
As we were walking Blaze looked into the woods and then looked at me. "Hey, [Name] let's go check out the rest of the island. After all there can't be that many demons on the island if there are others walking around the forest," He said looking at me.
"That sounds like a bad idea," I said looking at him.
"I don't mean explore carelessly. I mean we go out and see what kind of monsters and demons we can find. Think of it like a training exercise. I heard some of the people around town talking about how they did this for training. So why can't we?" Blaze said looking at me.
"Well I guess as long as we don't get to far away from the city it can't hurt," I said looking at him. He smiled when I said this and we walked out of the city and started to walk through the woods.
As we walked I heard the sound of water and we started to walk towards it. As we walked the sound got louder and louder until a waterfall eventually came into sight. Blaze smiled seeing this and then looked at me.
"See, if we hadn't left we never would have found this place," He said looking at me. I sighed hearing this and looked at him.
"Alright I'll admit it, maybe this wasn't a bad idea after all," I said looking at him. When I said this he smiled and then we continued to walk through the forest that surround the city. However as we did I felt the air around us start to get colder.
"Something's not right," Blaze said looking at me.
"Maybe it's a demon," I said looking at him.
"Yeah but I don't think it's one of the demons that are supposed to be here," He said looking at me.
"What do you mean?" I asked looking at him.
"It's cold here and look at the ground it has frost on the ground. The demons on this island are supposed to be low level demons. They're not supposed to be able to use magic," He said looking at me.
"Maybe it's a Slayer," I said looking at him. He seemed unsure when I said this and looked at where the source of the cold was coming from.
"Maybe, but I'd still like to check it out just to be safe," He said looking at me. When he said this I sighed and looked at him.
"Alright if it will make you feel better then we'll go check it out," I said looking at him. He smiled and we started to walk towards the source. As we did frost was becoming thicker and the cold was becoming more intense.
However when we got to the center we saw a male looking a small frozen lake. As I looked at him I saw that Blaze was angry and I understood why. The male had brown hair and red eyes and a blue marking on his right hand.
He hadn't changed at all in ten years, there was no mistaking it. It was the demon that had attacked our home ten years ago.
