P.O.V. [Name]

I was on a train that was heading to the only Slayer Academy in the world. Star Shade Academy it was not only the only Slayer Academy in the world but was also extremely effective.

The entire Academy was on a private island. Oddly enough they went out of their way to make sure the island had monsters and a few low level demons on the island.

They wanted to make sure peolpe had what it took to survive in the war before they let anyone join. The train that we were on then stopped at the edge of the island and we saw a male looking at us.

"Hello everyone my name Monzo," he said looking at us. "Before we let any of you into the Academy we have a small test for all of you. Just to make sure you have what it takes to survive," he said looking at us.

Everyone was quite when he said this and he smiled. "The test actually quite simple. You just have to make it to the Academy's center. If you can do that then you pass," he said looking at us.

When he said this he sat down on a chair and looked at everyone. "Well everyone I wish you all the best of luck. Also if you happen to parish in the forest then we'll be sure to alert your families," he said looking at all of us.

When he said this everyone started to walk through the woods and I heard footsteps approaching me. I then turned my head and saw male with blonde hair and green eyes running towards me.

"[Name] it's good to see you again," he said looking at me with a smile. It took me a second to recognize the male and when I did I smiled.

"Blaze it's good to see you again," I said smiling at him. When I said this he smiled and looked at me.

"I'm going to be honest after you left I thought that one of the demons had got you. But I'm glad to see that I was wrong," he said looking at me.

"Yeah speaking of which what ever happened that day? Is she okay?" I asked getting a little nervous. After all I had no idea weather his sister had lived through that attack or not.

"Yeah, I managed to find her and we got away. She didn't come here with me she's staying with a friend at the moment. I told her I'd write when we got to the city," he said looking at me.

When he said this we then started to walk into the woods. However I then noticed something off about what he had said. "City?" I questioned looking at him.

"Yeah Star Shade Academy has a miniature city built around it. Most of the buildings are houses for the slayers in training that live there," Blaze said looking at me.

"I had no idea the Academy was so big," I said looking at him. I then heard a few loud screech's and looked at Blaze. When I did he nodded and we both pulled out our weapons mine being a sword and his being a spear and we readied ourselves.

"Any idea what that was?" I asked looking at him.

"No idea but it must be one of the monsters that they let roam free around here," he said looking at me. When he said this a strange creature on all fours then came out of the woods and looked at us.

It had black reflective skin and a glowing red energy where I assumed it's heart was. It looked at us and growled and then tried to jump towards us when it did we jumped in opposite directions.

The creature then ran towards me and I jumped to the side slashing it's face with my sword. It let out a cry of pain when I did and then hissed at me. I then started to circle around me.

It looked like it was ready to jump towards me but a spear suddenly hit the creature in the chest. When it did I ran forward and cut off the creatures head.

When I did the I sighed and wiped the blood off my sword before putting it away. Blaze then walked over to the creature and pulled the spear out of his chest.

Blaze then looked at me and smiled. "Guess our teamwork is as good as ever huh?" He said looking at me with smile. I then smiled back at him and nodded.

"Yeah guess so," I said as we once again started to walk through the forest.

"You know it's actually kind of smart the way set this up," he said looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at him.

"Most of the monsters avoid the center of the island because of the slayers. However the demons don't go towards the coast because they know it's leaves them vulnerable. So the closer to the city we get the more dangerous it becomes," he said looking at me.

"Guess that makes this "simple" test a bit more complicated huh?" I said looking at him.

"It could if your not prepared, but for people like us it shouldn't be to much trouble. All we need to do is get to the city. When we get there we're safe," he said looking at me.

"Alright so get to the center of the island. Sounds easy enough," I said looking at him. He smiled when I said this nodded and we continued to walk towards the center of the island.
