"So." said Rimu. Shinji, Rimu, and Hisoka were standing in the middle of an old park next to the water fountain. Shinigami was nearby and was staring into space. Rimu continued, "When do we start our Vice-Captain test?"

Shinigami looks over at Rimu. "You guys start now."

Shinji and Hisoka looked shocked. So was Rimu. "Wait don't we get a practice test before we do the real thing?!"

Shinigami just sighed. "I am fully aware, that you guys are ready."

Shinji and Rimu understood what he meant. Hisoka, on the other hand was new to half of this. Shinigami knew that. He turns around to face all three of them. "I have seen all of your tests from when you were in Crescent School. Shinji and Hisoka had all aced their tests."

Rimu looked worried, but Shinigami continued. "I know Rimu didn't do well on all of his tests, but that doesn't matter. This test is based on strength, thinking, magic, and making a weapon."

Rimu sighed in relief, because he hated paper tests. Shinji asked Shinigami, "How long will this test be and what's the possibility for us to survive?" 

"40 out of 100 is the chance that you will survive." Shinigami walks over to the water fountain and placed his hand on the water. "Miki, come." 

The fountain stopped working after what he said. Then a big splash of water went up into the air. Someone came out. The person was a women wearing nothing and had a heart on her chest that it looked like it was about to break. She landed right next to Shinigami. The water cleared away when it fall down from the sky. All three of them noticed that stranger didn't look a person, but a fairy. The fairy wrapped her arms around Shinigami's arm and leaned on him with her spiky blue and green head phones 

"Are we going to have some fun master?" She said as she looks up at Shinigami and smiles. 

Shinigami pushes the women with black hair away from his arm. "No, you are going with these boys to the training grounds. You have to test them if one of them is worthy being Vice-Captain, Miki." 

Miki smiled more. "Oh goody, you're a Captain now!" 

Her back had one purple rose, a black rose, a green rose, and a light blue rose with dark blue spots on it. Miki closed her eyes. The black rose multiplied on half on one wing and the other half the purple rose multiplied also. The other wing did the same thing with the green rose and the light blue rose with dark blue spots. Miki opened her milky brown eyes. Shinigami grins and then looks at the boys.

"I know that you guys think that she's a fairy."

"Don't get me mixed up with those short dumbbells!" Miki yelled.

Shinigami glared at Miki. She made a motion that she zipped her mouth. He continued. "Anyways, she's a..."

He stopped and then just smiles. "Actually your test is to figure out what she is and why I'm her master."

Miki laughed. "You forgot that they have to fight my friends."

"Oh, you're right."

Hisoka and Shinji looked nervous, except for Rimu because he was sleeping on the bench. Shinigami puts out his hands. "Give me your weapons so that I can upgrade them for your fight."

Shinji takes out his gun and Hisoka just shrugs. "I don't have one."

Shinigami sighed. "What weapon do you have in mind?"

"I think a whip, would do good."

Shinigami walks over to Rimu and punches his stomach. Rimu wakes up holding his stomach. "Give me your gun, Rimu."

"I don't have one." Rimu says still holding his stomach.

Shinigami slaps his forehead. "Okay, what weapon do you want?"

Rimu smiled. "I know how to use a bow."

Shinigami holds Shinji's gun and walks over to Miki. "Miki."

"Yes master."  She points her hand to the ground. "Growing tent that hides secretes."

The grass grew long and tall and then shaped like a house. Shinigami looked at the green house tent and then back at Miki. "Is there the materials that I need?"

"Yes."

"A tree would be better."

"It won't happen again, master." Miki said sadly.

"It's okay. You’re the one that can help me in need like this." Shinigami walks into the grass tent. "Make sure they don't come in until it has been half an hour."

A half and hour was almost up. Hisoka and Shinji were sitting on the bench looking at Miki and figuring what she is. Rimu tried to peek into the tent but, Miki disappeared and reappeared right in front of him. She punched his face as punishment.

"It's done." Shinigami walked out of the grass tent. Holding Shinji's gun that used to be black, but now silver and has Star Dust written on it. Shinigami gives it to Shinji and then gives a black whip to Hisoka. Shinigami walks over to Rimu and gives him a bow. Rimu looked confused. "Where are the arrows?"

Shinji checks his gun for any bullets. "There are no bullets in here."

Hisoka looked pleased with his gift and then felt bad for Rimu and Shinji. "How are they supposed to fight if they don't have any bullets or arrows to shoot with?"

Shinigami grinned. "It's funny how you didn't notice that you can't use your whip."

Hisoka was confused. He then moved his whip. Shinigami was right. The whip stayed as it is and didn't move.

Miki laughed. "Hope you boys survive!"

Shinigami yawns. "When you're fighting Miki's servants, you have to use a type of magic or try to use the magic that I made up with inside your weapons."

Shinigami waves. "See you guys later. If you

Shinigami walks away and then he was stopped when Shinji said, "Wait, I thought you said we have to fight Miki's servants, but I don’t see them!"

Shinigami didn't even look at him. "Stupid, they're behind you."

Shinji turned around and sees a green rose shaped as a girl. A purple rose girl was behind Hisoka and a light blue and dark blue spots rose girl was behind Rimu.

"Hello I'm your opponent." said the green rose girl. "Name's Iris."

Iris snapped her fingers. Shinji looked around the area and it wasn’t the park anymore. The scenery changed into a pine tree forest. Shinji glared at Iris.

“Where did you take me?!”

Iris shook her head. “This is your test. You should be ready.”

She lifts her hands. Two thorn vines came out and then transformed into two green guns. Iris smiled. “I hope you’re ready.”

Shinji ran behind a tree. Damn how am I supposed to defeat her, when I have no bullets? thought Shinji. Iris’s thorns cut down the top part of the tree that Shinji was hiding. The tree felled down. Iris smiled. “I see you.”

Iris’s thorn vines transform into two green guns again. She pointed both of her guns at the tree that Shinji was hiding and shoots two burst of green light. Shinji ran and hides behind another tree and then looks at the tree that he was hiding. The other half of the tree that was standing was now gone. In its place was a big hole. What the heck is with that bullet?! And her guns transformed into thorns and then back. Where are Rimu and Hisoka?!

A black rose petal was on a tree watching the fight. Meanwhile at the park in the grass tent, Shinigami and Miki were watching Shinji’s, Hisoka’s and Rimu’s fight on three glass screens floating in front of them. Shinigami leaned on his arm on the armchair. “You did put up an invisible barrier on the tent.”

“Yes.” said Miki. She leans behind the armchair watching the fight. “Do you think that they will win?”

“I don’t know, but this is fun to watch.”

Miki smiled. “You always like to play games and watch them.”

Rimu found himself floating on top of water. He looked around to find Hisoka and Shinji. No one except a big wide open ocean. He noticed the blue rose girl.

“Hello, trash.” She said. “Name’s Faylinn, but you’ll forget since you’re going to die.”

She points to Rimu and then the water lifts up. Then the water splits into five snakes. Faylinn laughed. “I see your bow, but where are your arrows!”

The five water snakes started moving fast to Rimu.

“Damn.” He said. He closed his mind and concentrated to picture five fire arrows. Rimu opened his eyes and saw five fire arrows in the air. Rimu shoots the arrow at the water snakes with his mind. When one of the fire arrows shot the water snake. The arrow evaporated.

Rimu’s eyes went wide. “What?”

Faylinn laughed again. “You fool! Your little tiny fire arrows can’t beat my snakes!”

A water snake bites Rimu’s right leg and another on his shoulder. Faylinn yawned. “This is boring. Why did our queen’s master was thinking letting in a weakling like you.”

Rimu grabbed the snake on his shoulder. His hand didn’t go threw the water snake. It’s solid, but it looks like water flowing back and forth. Rimu mouth made a grin and stared at Faylinn. A black petal was floating above the fighting scene.

Shinigami also made a grin. Miki noticed it. “Do you think he can win?”

“Rimu just noticed a way to beat her.” Shinigami’s grin disappeared. “But there is a possibility that it might not work.”

Hisoka was lying asleep on someone’s lap. He woke up and bolted up. The scenery looked so peaceful. A field of purple roses and no thorns. He looks over his shoulder. Hisoka looked shock. A black rose petal was floating above the purple rose scene.

Shinigami looked shock also. “Demon?”

Miki smiled. “Eglantine’s favorite move.”

Shinigami sighed and his shock was gone. “This test might end faster than I expected.”

Miki looked curious. “Did you lie about them finishing it in a month?”

Shinigami smiled. “You catch on. Rimu might finish today and Shinji and Hisoka will finish tomorrow.”

Shinigami and Miki looked back at Hisoka’s floating screen.

Hisoka looked at Demon for a long time. She was wearing a white kimono with a red cherry blossom tree. “Hi, Hisoka.” Demon smiled.

Hisoka hugged her. “You’re not dead.”

Demon laughed. “Nope.”

Back at Shinigami and Miki. Shinigami looks at Miki. “Put another black rose petal with hearing. I can’t hear them”

“I’ll tell Zazanna to add one more.” Miki said as she closed her eyes.

Shinigami rubs her back. “Your pale skin is so smooth.”

Miki blushed. “We’re supposed to watch Hisoka and the others.”

Shinigami puts his hand back in boring position. “Fine.”

Miki looked angry, but then looked at Hisoka’s screen.

Hisoka looked so happy when he saw that Demon is alive. He then let go of Demon. “Who’s Shinigami?”

“He’s another spirit in my body.” She said.

“Do you know why Miki has him as a master?”

“She and four others of her kind were the last ones. Shinigami saved them from people who were about to kill them.”

“Do you know what she is?”

“No.” Demon stands up and walks to a small one floor house that appeared out of no where. Hisoka stared at her as she walks away. Demon stopped and glared at Hisoka. “Are you coming?”

“Yes.” Hisoka runs over next to Demon. He knew it was definitely her. The sunset was making Demon’s kimono glitter and flowed with the wind. Hisoka blushed at her beauty. Hisoka place his hand on his forehead, grabbing part of his blonde hair. Why am I feeling these feelings? Hisoka thought. I’ve never had these feelings before I met Shinigami.

Shinigami heard everything. So did Miki. Miki made a mad face. “Why did she gave away it so easily?!”

“Calm down. It doesn’t matter anymore.”

Miki made a pout face. “But, master!”

Shinigami glared at her. She looked down sadly. “I’m sorry.”

“Let’s focus on Rimu’s fight, because it’s almost time’s up.”

Both of them looked over at Rimu’s screen.

Rimu pulled his bow’s string and pointed it at Faylinn. She laughed. “What are you going to do, shoot air at me?” Faylinn laughed harder, holding her stomach.

Rimu smiled. “Yes.”

He let go of the bow’s string and said, “White Snake.”

Faylinn was hit and wrapped with a long white ribbon. “What?!” She yelled. Faylinn looked at Rimu. “How?!”

“Well it’s this bow’s weapon. I gathered my spirit power and shot it. Something in my head said I had to say, ‘White Snake’ and that a white ribbon would stab and wrap it’s target. Also, it never misses.”

Rimu was holding the other end of the ribbon. Faylinn screamed. “DON’T LET GO OF THE RIBBON!”

Rimu looked at her. “Why? Tell me what happens when I do let go of the ribbon.”

“When you pull the ribbon, it loosens itself for a second and then quickly comes back biting the target with multiple of bites of snake venom. The compact kills the target with no chance of surviving the attack, but this takes most of the person’s spirit power, which is controlling the White Snake”

Rimu glared at her. “Where did you get this information?”

“Shinigami.”

Miki stands up and looks at Shinigami. “Should Zazanna stop her?”

“No it’s fine.”

Miki sat down. Shinigami smiled. “I’m surprised that Rimu is this serious.”

Miki stared at him. “He’s not like this?”

Shinigami looks into space. “He usually gets lazy and just eats popsicles or ice cream.”

Miki taps his shoulder and points at Rimu’s screen.

Rimu holds his bow and the white ribbon. He sighs. “Man, when’s the last time I had a popsicle or ice cream?”

Shinigami points at the screen. “See?”

Rimu continued. “Anyways, why is Shinigami the master of Miki?”

“He saved her and she saved us four from dieing.” Faylinn said.

Rimu smiled at almost finishing his test. I wonder if Shinji or Hisoka passed their test.

Rimu yawned. The sky was dark, but the white ribbon glowed.

“Now, tell me what you and your queen are.”

Faylinn looked at Rimu and then looked away. “Nope.”

“Tell me or I’ll leg go of the white ribbon.” Rimu was holding one of the white ribbon’s edges.

Faylinn’s eyes looked shock and then yelled, “Okay, we’re Florestas!”

Rimu pulls the ribbon twice and the glowing white ribbon disappeared. “Since I won, take me back to the park.”

Faylinn opened a portal in the ocean and jumped in. Rimu followed her. They landed on the concrete of the park near the water fountain. Miki was there standing in front of the grass tent. “Welcome back.”

Rimu tries to pass her and go into the tent, but Miki put out her arm and choked Rimu. He falls down on the ground. Faylinn walks over to him. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Rimu glares at Miki. “Why can’t I talk to Shinigami?”

“He’s watching Shinji and Hisoka’s fight, so he doesn’t want to be bothered.” She pointed to another grass tent. “You will be sleeping in there and don’t worry, there’s an invisible barrier so people won’t notice the grass tent.”

Rimu walks in and lies down on the bed and it wasn’t grass. It was normal. So was the floor and wall. Faylinn tired to follow him, but Miki told her that she needed to come with her.

Faylinn and Miki walked into the checkered tile floor, with two screens floating, and an armchair in the middle of the two screens. Faylinn walked over to the armchair and smiled at the person with the white winged like hair. “Hello, Shinigami!”

Shinigami didn’t smile. “You improved the water snakes.”

Faylinn stilled smiled. “Yep, I used to only do two but now I can do five!”

“Miki will train you, until you can make the snakes impossible to kill or hold.” Shinigami said as he looks over at Miki.

“I will try my best.” She said. Faylinn ran over to Miki and hugged her. “Thank you, thank you, and thank you!”

“Hey, girls look at Shinji and Iris’s screen.”

Shinji’s body was so weak. He can’t doge anymore of those green burst bullets. Surprisingly Iris was tired to.

“How about we finish this tomorrow?” Iris asked.

“Agreed.” Shinji leaned against a tree. He was lucky that he brought a jacket. Shinji looks over at Iris. “Are you cold?”

“I don’t feel anything.”

Shinji closes his eyes. “Why do I even ask?”

Back in the screen room Faylinn looks at Shinji. “He looks like trash against Iris.” Then she looks at Hisoka in the house with Eglantine with Demon’s disguised. “He looks cute and there’s a chance for him to beat Eglantine, if his whipped worked”

Miki walks over and leans on the armchair. She placed her head on top of her arms and on top of the armchair. “Shinigami, what’s your goal in this game of yours?”

Shinigami grins. “To see If Master can let me have three Vice-Captains and to have fun watching Hisoka, Shinji, and Rimu’s powers growing.”
