Spying

-Cyborg POV-

We finally finished the cameras! We tested them on us as well as the water resistance and it all worked. They were on the way when it began to rain and our pizza arrived. Luckily we got five pizzas because it’s gonna be a bit longer before we can watch.

I got a notification that they arrived at the castle and so we turned on the max security so no one can peek at it and turned it on the TV. We did not expect what we saw in the slightest.

The little king seemed to be panting, sweating and crying all at once clinging to a woman slightly older than middle age while a man held up his shirt showing a red blur Raven was holding a wet cloth to. I controlled the camera to go closer to the red spot and we all gasped upon realizing that it was a serious wound that Raven was attempting to clean the mud from.

“Would you please hold still!” Raven shouted.

“Gladly! If I didn't have a chunk missing from my side!” He shot back.

“If you hold still it won't hurt as much!”

“If you hadn't run off this wouldn't have happened!”

“If you didn't yell at me I wouldn't have run away!”

“You shouldn't have been in the West Wing.”

“And you need to control your temper!”

The King rolled his eyes. “That's not my fault. My powers cause me to more easily build up anger than an average human because of the large amount of carnivores. I thought that letting it all out by training would help but evidently that's not enough anymore!”

He obviously wasn't thinking about the wound anymore so Raven took advantage and began to clean it more while talking to keep him distracted. “How did you get these abilities?”

“I was bitten by a green monkey in these very woods. I got really sick from it so my parents asked a mage to heal me. She did but the green and animal powers were a permanent side effect. My life has never been the same since.” Didn't think we'd get his backstory with this.

“How long ago?”

“10 years.”

“Is this why you hide yourself away?”

“The world is not a place for a monster like me.”

The girl holding him went into the conversation. “Nonsense. You had brought nothing but good into this world. The kingdom flourishes thanks to you. I doubt those representatives will know what to do if you left them.”

“Miss Busher is right master.” The man keeping his shirt off the wound said. “You have improved the lives of everyone in this castle personally. Indirectly improving those on the outside as well. I don't want to know how my life will be if you did not take me from those streets many years ago.”

The king smiled, “Thanks guys.”

“And done.” Raven said as she picked up and put away the bowl of, now very dirty water.

“Wait, What?” The King asked confused.

“By keeping you talking and since the painkillers finally kicked in, you didn't think about the pain as much so I was able to clean it without alerting your nervous system. Azarath Metrion Zinthos!”

As she said the spell, bandages at the foot of the blood stained bed floated and wrapped around his torso under his shirt, letting the boy put it down as the king let go of the girl before they had him lay down pulling the covers over him.

“You'll need to rest.” Raven told him monotone. “Cleaning it was enough for it not to get infected for now but your body still needs to heal itself before you do anything active or transform. We'll need to change the bandage every now and then and clean it when we do. Also, Azarath Metrion Zinthos. That should help your body's healing system to work more quickly.”

“Oh! Thanks Raven!” He said surprised.

“You're Welcome. Now get some sleep.” Raven said as she and the others began to leave.

“And Raven?”

“Yes Beast Boy?” Raven responded turning towards him.

“Thank you. For not leaving me to get eaten by the wolves.”

“You're welcome.” and she left while the King turned on his good side to sleep.

“That was… unexpected.” Robin said summing it up as I turned it off since he was falling asleep anyway.

“Yeah. Never thought he'd tell Raven his backstory so soon. Or that we'd be able to hear it.”

“It was the unexpected.” Starfire began. “Perhaps this Beast Boy is not what we assumed him to be. He did trust friend Raven to clean his injury of the extremity and his servants clearly have the opinion of only the positive towards him. I do feel much of the better to see that she is the safe at the castle.”

Robin was thinking for all this time and spoke up, “You're right. We don't need to worry as much. I say that we only check it out every once in a while. If he wasn't a good person then I don't think the servants would try to cheer him up the way they did.”

We all agreed to only check in occasionally and finished Lunch before going to our activities. This was gonna be an interesting time for us all.
