Making it Official

-Beast Boy POV-

I left the room where the four friends were now being contained and had to take a breather. This is the first time I ever have known about someone taking the place of a good friend. Especially for how long she'll be here.

Deciding to look at the judgement records to see how short I could make her time here later, I informed the guards of the deal me and the girl made and the royal scribe to write out contracts for her staying in their place and swearing the others to secrecy with the promise to treat their friend the best we can.

I personally informed the four friends that everything will be arranged the next day while bringing down a fourth cot for Raven, as she called herself.

But I decided to do something for her to make her very long stay more comfortable. I went to the east wing and with the help of one of my most energetic servants, Ethan Miller, set up a room for her.

When I looked in her eyes, I don't know how, but I sensed a dark presence. Yet I knew she had a good heart or she wouldn't have come to save her friends. I decided it probably would be best to model her room after that. Plus, her dark blue robe and black suit showed she wasn't a fan of cherry things.

We made her bed with dark blue sheets and black pillows. Across from it was a black desk with a face mirror. As we all got to know her we can add things to her room.

But for now, these two things along with the closet and a painting of a Sunset would suffice.

We closed the double door and went to our own rooms. Mine was really messy but I didn't want the servants to clean it. This was my mess and I don't want them to feel responsible for it.

I fell onto my bed still a little weirded out by the days unusual events and fell asleep.

-The next day-

“Robin, just sign it.” Raven told her friend in a monotone voice.

“I'm not gonna sign something that makes it so that you need to stay here.” He responded slightly angry.

I took a deep breath trying not to lose my patience as anger came up slightly, “Luckily for us, you don't need to sign that one. This is so that you won't talk about me when anyone but your two other friends are within earshot. I don't want a panic to go throughout the entire kingdom. If you keep the secret then I promise that your friend will receive anything she requires for the entire time she's here.” I felt a slight ping on the side of my head while talking but I brushed it off.

Robin, as he was called, growled before signing the contract under his friends names. I signed under his to show my promise to fulfill my part of the bargain and the guards escorted the three out to ensure they don't stick around leaving me with Raven.

I took a deep breath and scratched the back of my neck letting it out. “So,” I started not knowing how to start but settled with, “I'll show you to your room.”

“I have a room?” She asked questionably.

“Would you rather stay in the cell you were in last night?”

“No.” She said quickly.

“Then follow me.” I told her holding open the door for her to go through.

As we went through the halls I told her the rules of the castle. “You can go pretty much anywhere you want except a few places. Obviously you can't leave the castle grounds cause we need to draw the line somewhere. I do hope that this will lighten up your stay just a bit.”

“Just get on with it.” She said bored.

“Right. Anyway, there are four places you aren't allowed to go. First, my bedroom. I don't like people going in without permission but I'm sure you had similar rules back at your home. Second, the kitchen. Mainly because our head cook is a perfectionist and never even allows me to be in there. Only kitchen staff allowed. The only time I even think about going in is when I need to taste new meal options. Then the lab because it's too dangerous for anyone who doesn't know what they're doing. And lastly the West Wing.”

I stopped there hoping she wouldn't ask but just my luck, “What's in the West Wing.” I stopped terrible flash backs coming through my mind. “Beast Boy? Are you ok?”

I looked her dead in the eye, “Never. Go. In the West Wing.” My heart felt heavy but I didn't want her to see the pain in my eyes so I walked quickly in front of her.

The rest of the walk was silent because I didn't want my voice to crack from sadness. Luckily by the time we got to the room, I felt like I could control it.

“We didn't know what you wanted it to be like so I hope you like it.” I opened the double doors at the same time then stepped to the side so she could see it. By her expression, I think she liked it. “If you want us to put something else in then we can do our best.”

She turned to me, “Can you bring the books I had from home? It might make me feel more comfortable.

I nodded taking a note that she was a bookworm. “I'll see what we can do. What color do you want the book shelf? Or would you rather we bring yours?”

“If you could bring mine that would be great. Anything else?”

“Yeah Breakfast everyday is at 8:30, Lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 6. If you want a snack there's fruit and crackers in the dining hall at all times. If you get lost just ask one of the staff for help. Feel free to look around. Just avoid the areas I told you about and stay within the gate. They're also quite a few children of the staff living here so don't worry about them.”

“Why can't I go in the West Wing?” She asked and I felt a stab at my heart.

“See you around.” I said my voice shaking a bit before closing the doors.

I pressed my back against the wall and slid down it. After a good bit of deep breathing, I stood back up and walked down the hall. I am not looking forward to the paperwork, but someone needs to do it.
