15: ...hit the ground too hard

This chapter was supposed to be 2 chapters ago

And has taken so long to write that Wattpad is telling me to write faster

It took too long for Scar to realise the simple truth:

There was no such thing as Scar-safe.

After the 6th time nearly dying by flying into something, Scar crashed into the ground, panting for breath... Only 8 hearts lost that time. He was improving somewhat at not dying. But it wasn't going to help him survive for long. Especially not with Cub and Grian constantly after him too.

CAUTION! NOT SCAR SAFE!

Please put diamonds in the chest to hire a new Scarland SAFETY MANAGER!

Last time Scar tried that he nearly died to the TNT rigged to the trapped chest. Cub wasn't getting him with it this time either.

So, he just broke the chest and...

A hiss of TNT.

'CUB- NO- DON'T-'

Nothing exploded.

It was another stupid music disk.

'Both of us set up this one. Not just Cub.'

Scar turned, perhaps even more scared, at the Grian's voice. His mad and very very dangerous friend smiled at him.

'Hello, Scar.'

'You are officially banned from Scarland Grian! Still!'

'You think I CARE?! I'm just here to see my best buddy!'

'No you are here to MURDER your best buddy! Murder is not permitted in Scarland either!'

'Oh, and Cub stole Jellie. If you die, you get her back. If you win... Well I always wanted a pet cat...'

'You can't catnap Jellie! I will murder you will a passion of a thousand Scars!'

'Hang on, I thought murder was banned in Scarland! Make up your mind, Scar!'

'Hotguy is allowed to murder people.'

'That's not fair! Why are you bending the rules for him and not me?! And Hotguy isn't here, Scar.'

Silence.

'I'll give you all my diamonds if you let me win.'

'Nah... That's boring...'

Scar grabbed his Hotguy bow.

'Go away or I shoot you!'

'No murder in Scarland!'

'I don't have to follow the rules!'

Grian was shot by GoodTimeWithScar using [HoTGuY!]

Did Tango regret killing Impulse?

Yes.

Yes he did.

Was there anything he could do about it?

Nope.

'Seriously, you could've tried a bit harder than 'you smell' Impulse.' Tango grumbled, seemingly to no one at the sight of the fiftieth in his base.

'Well... I peaked with 'You deserve to die you evil traitor.''

A voice. Tango turned, drawing his sword.

Impulse.

'But I didn't think it was that bad...'

'Get away from me. I was forced to do it.'

'You said yourself I was too gullible. That I was acting stupid when I considered that one of my BEST FRIENDS wouldn't murder me!'

'I didn't kill you, the ravager did!'

'And who put the ravager there and blocked the exit?'

Silence. Tango stepped back, sword still in hand.

'Impy... I don't deserve this. What would Skizz think?'

'SKIZZ agrees with me!'

'You TOLD HIM?'

'OF COURSE I TOLD HIM! HE'S ACTUALLY A GOOD FRIEND!'

Another moment of silence.

'Low blow, Impulse. Low blow.'

'Doesn't stop it being true. And doesn't stop me doing this.'

Impulse pressed a button next to him.

Nothing.

'What- are you trying to kill me?! Come on, Button Boy! Try harder to- AAAAAAA!'

The carpet fell away beneath Tango's feet. Down, down, even further down... Impulse glided down after, landing safely out the way as his killer hit the water provided.

'What kind of crap trap is that?!' Tango burst out, looking around the ancient city he'd landed in. 'Why- why would you drop me down here? I can just fly out!'

Impulse threw down a snowball.

A shrieker went off.

'Can you?'

'Yeah! Decked Out is right-'

'Yup, I completely blocked it off. The caves have frozen over.' Another snowball. Another shrieker. He sauntered across to the hole out, finding a stack of cobble in his inventory.

'Try and get out, traitor.'

Another snowball. Impulse covered the exit.

'One more and there'll be a warden down here with us. I suggest you get ready to fight it.'

'Impulse, please... I had to do it. Ren told me to...'

'If Ren told you to jump off the top of your base, would you do it?'

'No! Of course not!'

'THEN WHY DID YOU LISTEN WHEN HE SAID TO KILL ME?'

Impulse threw the last snowball.

The ground shook as a warden crawled from it, terrifying close to Tango. With a scream, the dungeon master broke into a run.

'REN WILL KILL YOU!'

'I'M ALREADY DEAD! ANOTHER DEATH DOESN'T MATTER!' A roar from the warden at the noise, chasing after. On his third attempt, Tango managed to shoot up and glide away... If he could land on Impulse's platform... Too low. He hit the ground again, sprinting... Too slow. He was too slow. He couldn't escape.

Tango screamed as the warden hit him, stumbling, ducking behind a wall... Up onto the higher level, creeping along, eating a few golden carrots to regen health, sword in hand...

'YOU CAN'T HIDE, TANGO! I'M NOT LETTING YOU LEAVE HERE ALIVE!'

'I DON'T NEED YOUR PERMISSION TO LEAVE!'

A roar. Tango sprinted away just in time to not die to another blast... Into the air again, up toward Impulse... Another rocket took him to his 'friend's' level.

'Let me go.' Tango pleaded. 'Impulse...' There was no hint of friendliness in Impulse's grey eyes. 'Please... I didn't want to kill you... Ren forced me to...'

'SHUT. UP.'

'NO! LET ME GO! PLEASE!'

Impulse stepped closer, sword in hand. Tango didn't back down.

'You can't kill me with that.'

'Knockback. I don't want to kill you with it. I want to see you killed by a warden, Tango. I want you to feel the terror I did before you killed me and know it's my fault.' Another step forwards. Tango drew his own sword.

'I can kill you though.'

'You can't escape.'

'I can. I have a pickaxe on me. I have an elytra. You're not killing me.'

Impulse ran forwards. His sword did most of the damage, knocking Tango backwards.

Off the ledge.

He fumbled for fireworks, anything...

Nothing.

'PLEASE IMPULSE DON'T-'

Tango hit the ground too hard

I've spent so long on this chapter...

But it's done
