Information

Welcome, Warriors, To
Demise of UnitedClan.

This game takes place a few seasons after UCE. Unlike last time where it was just a struggle to survive, this time we will actively be trying to kill you. We will give you 24 days as a clan with all of our admins going as hard as they can to try and kill you all. Anyone who survives through to the end wins.

Don't worry if you didn't play in the original Clan village, Rise of Unitedclan or Fall of Unitedclan — anyone can join this, and the rest of the chapter explains how to play.

In Demise of Unitedclan or DOUC, you have to work together with the other players in order to help your Clan to survive, grow and prosper. As mentioned earlier, this differs from the last game as in we aren't going to be nice this time, we are all actively trying to kill off your characters whether through attacks, natural disaster or just a nasty trip on your border patrol. This game is a unique mixture of roleplaying and command-based gameplay. To keep the clan alive, warriors must hunt to bring prey back for every cat, patrol to keep enemies away from the borders, defend against enemies, heal the injured, and bring more players into the game by falling in love and having kits.

Read on to learn how to play the game! Yes, we're sorry, it's a lot of info but please read everything carefully. A lot has changed from the last game.

~•~ How It Works ~•~

Join the game by submitting your warriors cat OC in the Forms chapter.

Every day for the next 24 days, a new chapter will be published. The chapter lists the clans stats, news, allegiances, etc. For that day. Roleplay and game commands take place in the comments.

One real-life day = 1 game moon (month), and 3 real days = 1 season.

Roleplaying is a completely optional feature of the game. You do NOT have to roleplay! If you do though, there are some rules to it: only roleplay in the "replies" of the RP Area, making a chain. Or, if you want to roleplay with only one or two specific people while doing a task, you are free to create your own roleplay chain, but please remain within that chain.

Roleplaying doesn't actually affect the game play, so you can't just say "I'm going to go catch 100 prey!" And have it actually take effect, that's where tasks and commands come in.

A task is anything your cat can do that requires an energy point and has an important result. These are hunting, patrolling, training, foraging, healing and defending.

One task costs one energy.

Healthy cats have two energy every day/chapter for tasks. However, age, sickness, and injury can affect your energy. (More in this later.)

To have your cat do a task, you have to submit a command.

Commands are specific comments that start with a "/" and explain the task. For example, /hunt alone (cats name)

A UnitedWarriors admin will reply to the command before the next chapter is published and tell you the result. Example: Fireheart went hunting alone and caught 3 prey. The result depends on your cats Skill Level.

Some tasks, like patrolling and training, have to be done in pairs of groups. To do this, simply include the cats you want to go with in your command and tag them, or simply put "with..." instead. The cats you've tagged HAVE to reply with the same command in a CHAIN.

Example:

Fireheart: /patrol with Greystripe, Ravenpaw and Sandstorm (Fireheart)
>>[Reply] Greystripe: /patrol with Fireheart, Ravenpaw and Sandstorm (Greystripe)
>>[Reply] Sandstorm: /patrol with Fireheart, Greystripe and Ravenpaw (Sandstorm)
>>[Reply] Ravenpaw: /patrol with Fireheart, Greystripe and Sandstorm (Ravenpaw

Or more simply put if you don't have any specific cats in mind for your command:

Fireheart: /hunt with... (Fireheart)
>>[Reply] Greystripe: /hunt with all (Greystripe)
>>[Reply] Sandstorm: /hunt with all (Sandstorm)
>>[Reply] Ravenpaw: /hunt with all (Ravenpaw)

Only when everyone has said the command will it be answered by an admin.

>>[Reply] UnitedWarriors: Fireheart, Greystripe, Sandstorm and Ravenpaw went on a patrol together. The border strength has gone up by 1!

The maximum amount of cats that can go on a task together is 4, but a patrol cannot go without 4 cats.

TASKS

Hunting: sends your car into the forest to catch prey for the clan. Go alone with the command /hunt alone or in groups of 2-4 with /hunt with (names). The number of caught prey depends on your cat's Hunting Skill Level, and yes, you can catch 0 prey. Only warriors, apprentices, leaders and deputies can hunt. Also, there is NO Partner hunting bonus for this game, makes it too easy for you :)

Foraging: sends your cat out to gather herbs, which are essential for healing injured cats. Go alone with the command /forage alone or in groups of 2-4 with /forage with (names). The amount of herbs brought back depends on your cats Foraging Skill Level, and yes, you can bring back 0 herbs. Only Medicine cats and Medicine cat apprentices can Forage. There is also NO Partner foraging bonus, again, makes it too easy for you to win :)

Patrolling: Border patrols increase the Clans border strength by 1. The higher the border strength is out of 20, the less likely the Clan is to be attacked, and vice versa. This does NOT mean it is impossible for the clan to be attacked with a 20 border strength. To go on a patrol, use the command /Patrol with (names). You just have 4 cats on a patrol. While on patrol, cats may encounter signs of rogues, wild predators, and two legs, all of which pose danger to the Clan. Patrols can be attacked while on patrol. The border will naturally decrease by 2 every day, so to raise the border you need to patrol 3 times a day.

Training: increases a cats Skill Level. You have to find a Warrior (or med cat) with a higher skill level than you and train for a specific skill with the command /train (type)skill with (name). Only the cat with the lower level will be trained, and you need to train twice to raise a Skill Level by 1. Training alone is not a command in this game.

Healing: Uses herbs to heal an injured or sick cat with the command /heal (name). Only medicine cats and their apprentices can do this. Different types of injuries  and sickness require more herbs and higher skill levels to treat. You can fail a healing command. The patient can only be healed once a day.

Breeding: Breeding will not actually be a command in this game due to its shorter length as we didn't think it would be fair to have people join as kits then not be able to play as an adult doing tasks because the game would end by then. There are other ways you can join though, such as through rogues. You can join as a rogue when there are rogue attacks once the attacking rogues run out of health, they will choose to surrender and join the clan. You may still have a mate if you choose to though. You can become mates with someone by mutual agreement or build a relationship through roleplaying. Fidelity is up to you. Polyamory and LGBTQ+ relationships are happily welcomed!

Defending: When the clan gets attacked, warriors will need to work together to defeat the enemies. The command /defend gives your cat an attack score and a defence score to attack with. These are randomised based on your Battle Skill Level. The enemy has predetermined scores as well, these will be displayed at the top of the attack chain. Your scores get compared to the opponents opposite score, and the difference between the numbers decides who gets hurt and by how much. If your cats battleskill is too low, use the command /hide to keep your character safer. It is very possible to die during attacks, especially if they aren't defeated. Password is The name of last games leader, Emberstar (Please put it in the replies to your form, it will be deleted once we accept your form) Hiding does not guarantee safety if the attack is not defeated.

SKILL LEVELS

Skill levels are extremely important. They affect hoe much prey or herbs your cat brings back from hunting or foraging, their ability to heal and their prowess in battle.

Skill Levels go from Level 0 to Level 5.

Hunting, Foraging, Healing and Battle are separate skills and have to be levelled up separately. Medicine cats have Healing skills and Foraging skills, while Warriors and apprentices learn Hunting skills and Battle skills.

To level up you need to train with someone who has a higher skill level than you with the /train command. kits start at Level 0. Once you're an apprentice, you will be given a mentor, but you can train with any warrior (or medicine cat, if you chose that path) to level up your skills. You have to train twice to go up one level. Try to get to level 5 in everything!

Full warriors and medicine cats can still train too, so don't worry if you don't max out your level while you're an apprentice. Just find someone who is a higher level than you to train with!

HEALTH AND HUNGER

Cats can be injured while on patrol, or when defending camp from an enemy. There are three types: Slightly injured, Injured and Severely injured.

The good news: you can be healed by a medicine cat!

The bad news; Healing takes time and herbs, and you can't go on tasks when you're injured (although slightly injured only takes away 1 energy). And if you don't get healed when you're severely injured, YOUR CAT WILL DIE.

Hunger shows how well your cat has eaten over the past couple days. Cats will automatically eat at the end of every day - but if there isn't enough food for every cat, some will go hungry. This is why hunting is so important to the Clan.

If your cat has eaten every day, you're perfectly fine.

After 1 day without food, you're hungry. Eating once will make you fine again

After 2 days without food, you're starving. This takes away 1 energy. Eating once will put you back to "hungry", but beware! If you go 3 days without eating, YOUR CAT WILL DIE.

Cats will automatically eat every day, but if there isn't enough prey for everyone, some of ill have to go without food. But it's not random - the Clan has an eating order, just as mentioned in the books (remember apprentices can't eat until the elders have been fed? It's like that).
Queens will always eat first, followed by kits, medicine cats, deputies, warriors, medicine cat apprentices, apprentices, and finally the leader. (Elders aren't in the game.)

If you've been eating well lately, but you see that cats are going hungry, you can change your order with the command /don't eat. This command puts you at the end of the line, just for the day, so that if the clan is still short on prey someone else can get a chance to eat.

EVENTS

Sometimes the clan will be hit with devastating events that hurts the clan in some way and can cause your cat to die. These can be fires (destroys all herbs that aren't evacuated), floods (ruins all prey that isn't evacuated), droughts (-1 foraging penalty), thunderstorms/blizzards (-1 hunting penalty), frost (destroys some herbs), thieves (rogues steal some prey), two legs (traps are placed around the territory), and attacks (rogues or predators attack the camp. All of the weather related events are random but depend on the season, while thieves and attacks mostly depend on the clans border strength, with a smaller chance of them happening on a full border, though having a full border does mean that patrols are more likely to be attacked. Twolegs can come at any time. All of these can kill you.

AGES AND RANKING UP

If you choose to start the game as an apprentice, you will be between 6-12 moons. Becoming a warrior apprentice will let you do the tasks of hunting, foraging and defending, but choosing the path of a medicine cat will allow you to heal and forage. The Clan needs both warriors and medicine cats to survive. (There is no limit on the amount of either rank — we could have 30 medicine cats it people choose that. We might die from hunger though.) Medicine cats CAN have a mate!

As an apprentice, you will have the suffix -paw and be given a mentor. The mentor will be an active player of high skill levels who is in charge of your training. However you do not have to only train with your mentor, you can train with ANY Warrior/Med cat who has a higher skill level than you.

After 6 days of training and doing tasks as an apprentice, you can finally become a full warrior or medicine cat with the command /Rank up to (new full name). The name can be whatever you want it to be so long as it's appropriate (e.g maybe Frostfridge isn't a name you want to go with)

DYING AND RE-JOINING

When your cat dies, you will be kicked out of the game. However you can always join again with a new OC, but at the bottom of the waiting list, you have to wait until a queen has kits. You will join as a rogue.

THATS ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED (I think.)

If you have any questions, let us know, we will answer anything in the comments here.

Remember: this game is an EXTREME EXTREME  Version. Your cat WILL die.
