At the outskirt of the kingdom, a group of demigods was running, chasing the moon as if any moment it will disappear in their sight. One of them was carrying the child of the moon, she wasn't shining like the moon above instead, she was paler than the moon. And her ability to breathe was somehow stolen from her.
The three lads were breathing heavily until they've reached their destination. Not even a single rant about how exhausting their adventure was utter, because all that matters was the life of the woman in front of them.
The big glass doors suddenly opened, another group of demigods welcomed them. They were smiling but it immediately faded when saw the bad news.
Every one of them was horrified as they looked at her, Glifford shut his eyes, "Please, help." He pleaded.
Sue covered her mouth as the tears rush down on her cheeks. Her knees suddenly gave up as if the exhaustion finally struck her.
"What happened?" Sky asked with a strained voice. His eyes were fixed as he looked at Aicelyn, he disappointedly looked at Glifford and began to question his leadership.
"She suddenly felt cold. Walang kahit isa sa amin ang may alam kung anong nangyari sa kanya." Phoenix explained.
Glifford slowly placed Ice on the couch, a strong wind suddenly blew coming from the door that was left open. They gaped when not even a single strand of Aicelyn's hair was blown, it was like the time stops for her.
And so, they need time to keep her moving again.
Garet slowly placed his palm on Aicelyn's forehead. He frustratingly bit his lower lip when he realized that Aicelyn was now colder than her name.
"Warm her," Light suggested.
"It will just ease the coldness, but that won't wake her up." They all look behind. It was the other maiden with the crystal blue eyes, she was revealing her real face. Her white marble hair with blue shades at its tip was swaying, she was fierce like a hunter yet her eyes were glimmering with sadness as she looked at her blessed child.
"Rhealia— No, Artemis, why are you revealing yourself?" Freya asked.
"I need to go back to the Mt. Olympus and I'm just here to deliver Apollo's tip," Artemis stated.
They were shocked except for Athena and Poseidon's children who already knew it, they already deduced who she is from the start. It was the timeline that doesn't add up. Light and Sky thought.
Seventeen years ago, they all met. Rhealia and Alendis were around the same age, and Alendis was a friend of the Rule Breakers. And with that just fact, they already deduced that she is not Aicelyn's sister. But they knew that Rhealia isn't a fraud and that is why they looked at the second key, her eyes, the crystal blue eyes were only exclusive to the holder of the Great Prophecy. And that made them thought, who have crystal blue eyes other than the holder of the Great Prophecy?
And the answer is her, Artemis.
"Apollo told me the solution earlier," Artemis stated. Everyone looked at her curiously still shocked about her revelation, "Our friend is alive, she was held imprisoned in the Fountain of Prophecy."
"She is... just fingertips away?" Garet's voice cracked as he asked.
"Yes, I am also clueless," Artemis answered. She directly looked at a specific demigod, the one with the cerulean eyes, "Free the woman in the fountain,"
The woman with the pale brown eyes bitterly smiles as she watches her friends and the younger demigods in the ragged clouds and rainbow. "I'll take my leave, Alexis. Watch them all you want," Iris, the goddess of the rainbow said.
And even without Alexis' reply, she disappeared in the horizon. Her eyes were fixed while looking at a certain demigod.
Her son.
Her little Skyler.
And that made her remembered the sacrifice she made seventeen years ago.
The Rule Breakers was known for defying most of the laws made by the Greeks. Alexis and Garet were the most threatening ones, the gods were scared of these two that they made everything to break them.
The young Alexis with salmon hair kissed her son's forehead. She was holding on her arms, humming and waiting for him to fall asleep.
She frustratingly bit her lower lip, she knows that what she made a pact with Zeus without the knowledge of her friends.
She sacrifices herself, so the others could keep living.
She silently sobbed. She was supposed to be strong that not even a single threat could shake her. Yet, she found her kryptonite— the weakness that she didn't know that actually exists.
And when her eyes dried, she cleared her throat.
And she thought what Artemis did recently, the goddess adopted Savannah's child and made as her own.
Because to establish the Princess Selection System, she shouldn't have any child— it was the rule that the twelve kingdoms agree on. And because Artemis was captivated by the little girl's beauty she volunteered to be the mother and that child's real identity was kept secret among the gods and the Rule Breakers.
Though Aphrodite was also volunteering because she was fond of the little girl. But Artemis is dirty and runs away with the baby that made Aphrodite and Savannah's jaw dropped.
Artemis gave her the blessing of the moon.
Alexis unconsciously smiled.
And then she remembered the last time her mother, Athena, visited her. And the goddess simply gave her a warning.
"You'll be in danger."
"I will handle this on my own. Just leave before Zeus gets angry."
"You're a stubborn one, Alexis."
"I think you should go, Mom."
"Okay, take care. I will be back for the prophecy."
"Skyler is crying, Alexis." Her thoughts drifted away when someone spoke and snatched the child in her arms.
"Emerald, what are—"
"Umiiyak 'yong inaanak ko samantalang 'yong ina ay tulala." Emerald jeered. Alexis rolled her eyes at her bestfriend. "Kung ayaw mo sa tatay, huwag mo pa rin pabayaan ang baby Skyler—"
"I love Skyler. Ayoko lang sa tatay at kung paano siya nabuo." Alexis bluntly said.
Emerald playfully shook her. She was swaying and dancing while caressing Skyler, an idea suddenly struck in Alexis' mind while looking at Emerald and Skyler.
"Can you do me a favor, Emerald?" Alexis asked.
"What?"
"Before the war... give Skyler to that drunkard," Alexis mumbled.
Emerald was about to speak when someone opened the door. It revealed Freya together with their other friends. Alexis glances at Garet but immediately looked away when she didn't saw a single emotion on his eyes.
He was Alexis' kryptonite.
She was once Garet's dream.
Alexis' eyes landed to Artemis, she was holding a baby girl in her arms. "She's beautiful, just like her mom," Alexis mumbled while looking at the baby girl.
"What's her name?" Emerald asked.
Freya and Jackson facepalmed and wryly smiled, "She doesn't have a pangalan pa." Glifford said.
"Alam mo hindi ko alam kung bakit naging dyosa 'to e. Bobo naman," Freya jeered.
"Do you want to die?" Artemis asked.
Jackson suddenly laughed but was slapped in the mouth by Leyla. She leered at him while pointing the two babies who were sleeping, "Sorry na, commander."
"Katulad nga nang sinasabi ko kanina. Nainggit si Artemis kay Sophia kasi may kambal na anak." Freya stated.
Alexis' raised one of her brows, "Sophia? The archangel?"
"Mismo," Jackson said. Freya glared at him for stealing the spotlight but Jackson just smirked at her, "I heard that one of the twins was the Miracle child,"
"The Miracle child that was meant for Apollo's King Vessel," Artemis commented.
"It's Paxton, right?" Emerald asked.
"Not sure. I heard that Apollo has a newborn child, another boy." Garet stated.
"Right. He named him Phoenix," Artemis said.
"But, it's got to be Paxton. Malabong maging King Vessel ang pangalawang anak," Glifford argued. He suddenly glances at Alexis who was observing them, "May kapatid ka na 'di ba? What was his name?"
"Light. A counterpart of his father," Alexis smiled. "Name her, Artemis."
"Meron na. 'Yong ama ang nagbigay." Artemis grumpily mumbled.
"Disappointed?"
"I also want to name her."
"Then use it as her second name."
Artemis suddenly smiled, "Aicelyn Hailey."
Alexis blinks her eyes multiple times. Her friends weren't moving nor the babies, she rotated her body to look around until her eyes laid to a familiar man.
His stormy eyes were mocking her as he walked his way towards her front, "Good day, Alexis."
"Zeus,"
Zeus laughed. He smirked at Alexis and roamed his sight, "Oh. The cursed child is here." He acted surprise.
Alexis wasn't naïve not to know that Zeus was pertaining to Aicelyn. After all, she was the vessel of the seven deadly sins, the curse was given by Erebus to Alendis, Aicelyn's father.
"What do you want?" Alexis asked.
Zeus shrugged, "I just wanted to congratulate you. You finally built your academy, it was your dream, right? A school for demigods."
"So, what?"
"I will send my little Sue in that school at the age of seven—"
"As if Hera would allow you to let a mere demigod in the Mt. Olympus."
"Is she?" Zeus asked. I curiously looked at him. I was about to ask him a question when he suddenly speaks, "Do you still remember our oath?"
Alexis stole a glance at her son, Zeus saw it made him smile, "At the age of ten his eyes will change,"
"Tsk. So—"
"I won't let you suffer alone, Alexis. You were just dragged in the mess that they made yet you're willing to sacrifice yourself for them." Zeus mumbled.
"You promised me! Hindi mo gagalawin—"
"But I didn't promise that I will not punish Athena and Artemis. Those two needs to learn,"
"What are you up to, Zeus?"
"Athena and Artemis wouldn't be shaken. So, I will use their children for my entertainment—"
Alexis looked at him with disbelief, "Do you think this is fun? Do—"
"This will benefit you,"
Alexis looked at him with confusion, "What do you mean?"
"Aicelyn will be the start, Skyler will be the key and Light will be the end," Zeus explained.
"I don't get."
"The curse that you accepted willingly will be revoked at the right time. The moment that Aicelyn falls without any reason will be the sign that the hourglass must be delivered to the fountain but only Skyler can do it. He will be your key. And as soon as you get out, Light's blessing will be back to the original one and at the same time Aicelyn will wake up."
"What do you mean by Light's blessing will be back to the original one?"
"I cursed him. I granted him the four elements."
"You must be nuts,"
Zeus smirked, "I'm just teaching Athena a lesson, she sided your group, and I must discipline her."
"Scared of us, huh?"
"I am not. I just wanted to eliminate—"
"The Ruler of Olympus was scared of the Rule Breakers. Well, that's funny." Alexis laughed.
Zeus squinted his eyes and cleared his throat, "May isa pa akong regalo sa'yo."
Alexis wasn't able to reply. Her body suddenly stiffened, she was feeling cold as the green menacing aura dive into her body. Alexis was screeching in pain, rolling in the ground while squeezing her pounding heart.
Her friends couldn't hear her. The aura was fitting itself in her heart, minimizing its size just to fit.
Alexis stopped screaming. She's still in the ground while looking at the ceiling with teary-eyed, "It was your decision," Zeus mumbled. He helped her to get up.
"I don't know when or where the Spirit of Delphi will come at you but be ready."
Alexis' thoughts drifted away about the past when she heard Light's deduction while watching in the clouds.
"Tita Freya, remember when you told us how Intelectix works? Alexis can collect data and transfer it to others, right? Does the Intelectix has a holographic screen or—"
"Yes, Light. It has a holographic screen." Freya answered.
Light smirked, "Recently, a holographic screen appeared in our front. And it says 'To undo the curse, you need time' so, I was thinking if the hourglass is to help her get out."
"The hourglass is in the academy, inside the office," Garet stated.
Alexis suddenly smiled while watching them. She knows that her sacrifice was worth it, all of her friends achieved all of their dreams and that is what she wanted because they all worked hard to finish her dream first.
Alexis shuts her eyes.
"May the gods bless you,"
