Chapter 10

***EDITED***

Hello readers; Happy Saint Patrick's day, and Happy Birthday _lamt_17 !

Unknown POV

I stood in the corner of the dark room, watching him eagerly. A young girl was chained to a chair, tears streaming down her face, her arm bleeding profusely. She looked no older than 17.

"Tell me!" he hissed. "What are you preparing for us at this 'school'?"

Despite the harm that had been inflicted upon her, she bravely shook her head and said,

"I won't tell you anything,"

He smiled smugly, said, "Very well then," and then stuck the knife in her arm, carving yet another letter in her arm. The girl screamed in pain, but still refused to tell us anything. This reoccurred several times, but she remained silent.

"Please," I scoffed at his several failed attempts. "Let me do it," he glared at me, but grudgingly stepped aside. I marched towards the girl and brought my face within an inch of hers, but not before pausing to look at her arm, which had the words Αδύναμος οπαδός μιας ανελέητης σκύλας that were carved into her arm. The girl has a tolerance for pain, I'll give her that.

"Tell us what we want to know, girl, or I will inflict a measure of pain on you greater than you can ever imagine," I snarled. She had the nerve to laugh at me.

"Crucio," I whispered, pointing my wand at her head. She let forth a muffled scream, and then fell limp. He approached me immediately after she collapsed.

"Bellatrix," he hissed. "I specifically said that I would handle the interrogation. There was no reason for your insufferable self to butt in!"

"Please, you weren't getting anywhere. I-" he cut me off.

"If it happens again, you die. Understand?"

I groaned, but nevertheless, said,

"Yes Orion."

Annabeth's POV

This. Food. Is. Amazing.

It's like an all you can eat buffet! I was eating tofu tacos for lunch, although I have to say, they're no where near as good as Leo's.

Our next class was Herbology. Percy managed to drown all his plants, and all of the plants that were near Nico shriveled up and died. My plants were perfect, of course, as well as Reyna's. I think we accidentally gave Professor sprout a heart attack.

Whoops.

Oh well. For some reason, Thalia and Sila hadn't shown up all class. This concerned me a little, but they're probably off somewhere doing whatever they do when the go off somewhere. Next we had Ancient Runes.

"Bloody hell, we've never had this subject as a requirement before!" Ron remarked.

Percy froze. "Sure was bloody," he muttered, and then collapsed in a heap to the floor, shaking violently.

I turned paper white, calculating every possible outcome.

"EVERYBODY OUT!" I shouted.

Nico and Reyna started forcing everyone out of the corridor. Everybody left quickly, or so I thought. Nico walked intently to the other side of the corridor, and grasped something that wasn't there. To my complete shock, he pulled a cloak out of thin air, revealing three people. Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

The looks on their faces were priceless. Harry was just plain confused, Ron looked dumbfounded, and Hermione had that look that everyone tells me I get when she's thinking.

"You know, spying on people isn't typically how you would make a good impression..." Reyna said coolly. They just stood there.

"Leave." Nico growled at them. They remained motionless. "NOW!" They all scrambled off down the corridor. Nico waited 5 seconds, and then said, "I MEAN IT!"

There was a frustrated yell and they left for real. Just after that, Percy started screaming. I cast muffliato and shield charms over the corridor, so that no one could hear him.

We all stood around him helplessly as he screamed and thrashed around. Suddenly, I knew what was going to happen, and it would be bad.

"Guys," I gasped, "Be prepared to hold your breath,"

Nico turned paler, if that was even possible.

"Wait," he said, alarmed. "You want me to d-"

I was cut off by the huge blast of water that came from the wall, filling the whole corridor with water. I swam over to Percy and frantically began trying to wake him up. I started to see black spots from holding my breath for so long. Suddenly, Percy's eyes snapped open and all of the water retreated back into the wall, leaving only a very wet corridor, and a big hole in the wall where the water had burst through.

Percy sat up and took in his surroundings.

"Whoops," he muttered, looking at the hole in the wall.

"How bad was it?" he asked me.

"Not bad, actually! You only destroyed one corridor and the plumbing!" I reassured him. Well, if that was supposed to be reassuring.

He nodded, raised his hand, and us as well as the corridor were dry.

I walked over to the hole in the wall, muttered, "Repario," and the wall fixed itself.

Once we were sure that Percy had recovered, we headed off to Ancient Runes. We all took our seats, just as the tardy bell rang. Hermione was giving us a murderous glare, apparently still upset that she hadn't been allowed to witness Percy's flashback.

Professor Bathsheda walked into the room at that moment.

"Good afternoon, class," she said. "Today, and for the rest of the year, we will be studying Ancient Greek. Today, however, I am going to give you a quiz to see how much you know. Remember, this is not for a grade, so if you don't know something, just give it your best shot!"

With that, she passed out the quiz, and we began.

I looked up at the clock just as I finished my paper. Sweet, new record. 45 seconds. I could go faster if not for my dyslexia. All of the demigods stood up to go hand our papers in, and then had to wait 45 more minutes for everyone else to finish. Being ADHD, that was torture for me.

"Jackson!" Professor Bathsheda yelled, breaking me out of my trance. I looked down and realized how much I had been moving, which was probably nothing compared to Percy.

"Yes, Professor?" he responded sheepishly.

"Hold still!"

He put his hands up innocently, and tried to hold still while the rest of the class finished. When we got our papers back, I had gotten a 10/10. Judging by the looks on the other demigods faces, they had gotten the same results. Harry and Ron were looking in disbelief at our papers, and Hermione looked close to tears with her score of 4/10. Oh well. Calypso, Frank, and Hazel were coming tonight!

Frank's POV

"What are those things?" I asked Hazel as we approached the carriages.

"Thestrals" she said, "They only appear to people who have seen death,"

I nodded grimly.

"How do you know?" Calypso asked her.

"They told me, I dunno why I could understand them though,"

"Probably because they have to do with dead stuff, or something," I said.

"Probably," Calypso agreed as we climbed into the carriage.

The ride was short, and we mostly remained silent; we were all deep in thought, pondering what was ahead of us. When we got there, we were met by a woman who introduced herself as Professor McGonagall, and led us to a set of big oak doors. She told us to wait here, went inside the hall, and came back a few minutes later.

We entered the hall and walked up to the middle, where there was a hat on a stool. McGonagall cleared her throat, and began reading off our names.

"Atlas, Calypso!" she called. Calypso cringed at the use of her last name, but nevertheless walked up to the hat. She had gotten no more than 5 feet away from it when the hat screamed

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO PUT ME ON ANY OF THEM! GRYFFINDOR! THEY'RE ALL IN GRYFFINDOR! JUST GET THEM AWAY FROM ME!"

The three of us walked awkwardly over to the Gryffindor table, were all of our friends were waiting for us.

The whole hall sat in an awkward silence for a minute, and then McGonagall began to talk.

She made some speech about treating us well, blah blah blah, and then there was the food. The food was AMAZING! It was almost as good as camp's.

Almost.

We were all laughing and joking, having a good time, until Hazel said,

"Hey, where's Thalia and Sila?"
