Percy Jackson
I sat frustrated at the bottom of the lake, trying to to figure out the best way to murder my annoying friends. I mean, I don't wanna actually kill them, but they are annoying as Hades sometimes!
My thoughts were interrupted by someone swishing the water above me around with their hand. I looked up to see Annabeth waving at me from above water, a worried expression on her face. This made me worry, so I stood and swam up, treading water at the surface.
"What is it, why do you seem so worried?" I asked quickly.
"Chiron wants to see us in the Big House. The others are already there." She answered, standing up from where she was kneeling.
"Well, this can't be good in any way." I said as I climbed out of the water completely dry.
"That's what I said!" Annabeth exclaimed as we started walking to the Big House.
She started freaking out about being in trouble because she never gets in trouble. I rolled my eyes, only half-listening to her rambling. I stared into her beautiful, grey eyes.
"What if they want to banish us because Leo or Thalia or someone went too far with a joke or fight, or--" I cut her off with a small kiss.
"Sometimes, you talk too much, Wise Girl~." I purred and we continued walking in silence.
Once we got to the Big House, we were told to go to Chiron's office. So we did. I opened the door and stepped inside, seeing our friends where all here.
"Okay, whatever you think we did," I walked up to Chiron, "We didn't do it!"
"None of you are in trouble, that's not why you're here." He said.
"Exactly, wait-- what?" I blinked, confused.
"In short, I'm sending you seven to a magic school called; 'Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry' to help their kind remain safe and it's dangerous here for you. And,"
"Let me guess," I cut him off, "There's something like a . . . Oh, I don't know, a prophecy like every other dam time!"
"That about sums it up, yes," Chiron said, "You leave for London to get your school supplies in the morning."
"Fine. And let me guess what else you need to tell us, we need to go undercover until the right time to reveal ourselves." He nodded and I just left, not wanting to deal with anything even remotely close to a dam prophecy.
I found myself wandering into the forest without thinking, just staring up at the leaf canopy above, following a pretty, blue butterfly. I was brought back to reality by running staraight into a tree. I felt blood trickle down my face and I stumbled back, my hands blocking my view.
"Percy! Are you okay?" Annabeth's voice called after me.
"I hit my head on a tree and now I think my nose is broken!" I whined as she grabbed my arm and started leading me back to camp.
"This is what happens when you run off and don't pay attention to where you're going, Seaweed Brain." She sighed.
"I blame the butterfly, and would any one of our friends do any differently?" I asked.
"Not all of them would be stupid enough to do that, Percy. Basically only you and Leo." She answered while dragging me into Cabin Three.
I dragged a tank of water that was meant as a joke a while ago out from under my bed and awkwardly sat inside, letting the water heal me as I dunked my head underwater. I watched as Annabeth go around the room, taking things and putting them in a suitcase and folding clothes. Is she packing for me?
"Are you packing for me, Wise-Girl?" I asked while looking over the rim of the tank.
"Obviously, Kelp Head. You take too long and it's always a mess if you do it."
"You're a lifesaver. I have no idea what I'd ever do if you weren't always here for me," I paused, "Actually, I'd probably be dead."
"You're welcome." She rolled her eyes.
"Don't spend all night reading after you finish packing, you'd fall asleep on the way there." I said.
"Oh my gods, you're giving me advice? Who are you?" She asked sarcastically.
"Okay, I'm not stupid, I know you stay up late reading and that you don't always get enough sleep and we need to be up early." I told her.
"Yeah right, as if you'll get out of bed early." She said.
"I have an alarm!" I exclaimed.
"And what would that be?" Annabeth glanced over at me.
"Thalia screaming that we're gonna be late if I don't get up," I said simply, "Like usual."
"Seaweed Brain." She muttered.
"But you love this Seaweed Brain!" I said.
I somehow earned a half heartful laugh from her. What is going on with her? She's been acting out her emotions far more than usual lately. Is something wrong with her that I don't know about? It's like she's fated to die and doesn't wanna tell me. Wait a minute . . .
"What did you hear from Rachel last week?" I asked, suddenly acting very serious.
"What? Percy, what are you talking about?" She looked puzzled.
"I saw you talking with her, what did she tell you? You've been acting off since then, I want to know what she told you to make you act that way." I said.
Annabeth shut the suitcase with a small slam, "I need to go pack my own things. Goodnight, Percy," She said sternly before saying she loved me very much softly.
I watched her leave and combed my hand through my messy hair in frustration. What is wrong with her?! I just wanna help her!
I sighed and sunk to the bottom of the tank. Leo suddenly burst throught the door, screaming and holding up a metal bug thing like it was the greatest thing in the world. As soon as he saw me sulking his usual smile faded. He looked back outside them to the side of the room where my suitcase sat before he said anything.
"Did you two fight?" He asked.
I nodded sadly, Annabeth and I don't usually fight.
"Can I cheer you up? I made something cool!" He chirped, holding his invention out towards me.
I shrugged a little, looking over at him.
"Don't be like that, come out of the water tank." Leo said.
"I don't want to." I whined as I surfaced.
"Touch it." He said as he walked up to me.
"What?"
He just held it towards my with this look in his eye. I don't trust that look. I carefully tapped it's metal wings and it started to shift. It turned into a floating cube, slowly opening up and images flew up into the air, swirling around us. As I recongnized all of these images as happy memories, I smiled.
I poked one from above me and it flew down in front of me, opening up to a video of the event. My first kiss with Annabeth. I hlanced over at Leo, who was smiling brightly at me.
"How did you make this, it's inpossible for this to be real--" I stopped, myself realizing what it was with a small smirk. "How did you get ahold of Mist?"
"Miss Beauty Queen Piper." He giggled.
"She's gonna kill you in the morning if she finds out you still call her that." I snickered.
"Oh, I know."
