The book of monsters

Harry's POV

"Ok Nico, explain." Harry said in a stern tone, glancing around. He was in an infirmary room with Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Leo, Hazel, Frank, Piper, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Magnus and Alex. Nico was sitting in the front of the room, next to the infirmary bed on which Will- passed out- was sleeping. Nico had said that he had to tell us all something important, so here we were. "Ok... So, it started before Harry and the others arrived," Nico started, glancing down at Will. "This... This book just appeared one day when I was in my cabin. It just gave off this... Aura of badness." Nico stopped for a moment, seemingly to calm himself. Harry glanced over at Percy and Annabeth. Percy caught his eye and nodded to him. Harry nodded back. And then Nico continued explaining. "When I got close to it, it flipped to a seemingly random page by itself and then started glowing." Nico stopped, shuddering as if it was a bad memory for him. "A monster burst out of the pages, and by the time I had killed ot, the book was gone. I've ran into a couple of times since then, and it's what hurt Will." After these words, everyone was in silence. That's... So weird. A book that summons monsters? It must be some kind of magic, maybe even wizarding world magic, but... How? Could it-
"Wait!" Leo exclaimed, interrupting Harry's thoughts. "I have an idea! Next time you see it, destroy it with your wand from hogwarts!" Leo said. But then Piper nudged him and reminded him that whenever someone gets close to it, it vanishes. "Well, I'm gonna go take a nap." Ron said, which ended the conversation.

Thalia's POV

I have to tell them... I have to... So close...
That one thought runs through Thalia's head as she and the other hunters dash through the woods, darting from tree to tree. Suddenly, a flaming metal ball comes sailing over her head from behind her, smashing into a tree. "Bows at the ready!" Thalia yelled, spinning to a stop and drawing an arrow, aiming her bow into the woods. The other hunters do the same, silently waiting for Thalia's order to shoot. A moment later, multiple laistrygonians appeared from the woods, all holding giant metal spheres. "We'll give you one chance to get out of here now, or face your deaths!" Thalia yelled at the monsters, aiming her arrow at the largest of them. "That's actually exactly what I was about to say to you." The one she was aiming at said, rather calmly. "We will warn camp half-blood that Octavian is planning his next attack. You will not stop us, monsters, so retreat or be killed." Thalia said, pulling back her bow arm, ready to shoot. "Hmmm... How about... No!" The laistrygonian she was aiming at said, and threw his giant sphere at her. She let her arrow fly. The arrow cut through the sphere and struck the laistrygonain she had been aiming at, giving him a one way ticket back to Tartarus, all in one second. Then the sphere the laistrygonian had thrown exploded in midair, as result of the arrow splitting right through it. The other hunters released their arrows, and one by one each laistrygonian was reduced to monster ash. But then one of their spheres sailed through the air, exploding on contact with hunters. Thalia gritted her teeth as she dodged the explosion, and the hunters continued to pelt the Laistrygonians with arrows. Finally, the battle was over. Thalia surveyed the scene, realizing sadly that the two hunters that had been caught in the flames from the Laistrygonian sphere were dead, their lifeless corpses blackened by the flame. "Ok, lets rest and then continue to Camp half-blood. Because we need to warn them. Warn them that Octavian is getting ready for his third attack on them."
