Alright guys, I have some kinda sad news: I'll be ending this book at around fifty chapters.

I don't really know what to do with it anymore, and I'm also getting bored of the plot. I will continue for you guys though, I really don't mind. It's just that school is starting in one week for me, and I have other books that I'm writing and ones that I do want to write, and it's going to be a lot. So, I'll finish this book for you guys, but just know that if these are crappy, it's because I'm not into it as much anymore.

Ok, let's go!

{Annabeth's POV}

"What?!" I shrieked. I didn't want to come to this high school in the first place, I mean, only for Percy. But I could see him outside  of school. I didn't want to be here.

But now coming to this school was starting a whole new uprising.

"Chiron says that someone could be feeding them secrets. I mean, the most powerful demigods in the world are all at one school. He said we need to either keep on the downlow...or..." Reyna trailed off.

"Or what?" Connor asked.

"We change schools and/or identities."

Okay, that was officially the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Changing identities? 

"I say keep on the downlow. I have a reputation to uphold," Nico answered quickly.

There were mutters of agreement.

"Votes?"

There were nods.

"All in favor of keeping on the downlow?" Most raised their hands.

"The jury has decided!" Travis announced, and Katie slapped his arm.

"Alright. So we're keeping on the downlow. But from what?" I asked.

Reyna bit her lip. "We don't exactly know."

All Hades broke out.

"QUIET!" she yelled. People continued to argue.

"EVERYONE, SHUT UP!" Piper yelled, and curse her charmspeak, everyone shut up.

"Listen to Reyna! She knows what she's talking about. Maybe if you'd shut up, she would explain!"

Reyna shot her a glance of her thankfulness.

"Chiron thinks that someone is trying to steal our powers. Kids at the camps are going missing. When they find them, they're drained of energy and power. That's why Will isn't here anymore. He's trying to help them. If someone is trying to steal our powers, that means that they probably won't come after Annabeth, Clarisse, or I, since we don't have powers. So, we need a plan."

Reyna was right. The three of us were the only ones here that didn't own any kind of demigod-ish powers. 

...

So Reyna, Clarisse, and I are trying to form a plan, when I hear a familiar girl's screech.

We storm down the stairs to find everyone surrounding Jason, who's on the floor.

"What happened?" Clarisse asked.

"Piper. She...just - vanished."

I felt worried for Piper immediately, and I couldn't even imagine how Jason felt. At this point, winter break was coming up within a two weeks time, and I couldn't bear if Piper wasn't there to celebrate with us.

"Where were you when it happened?" Reyna asked.

Jason pointed to a square of the tile. "Do you think if we...?"

I nodded. "Everybody move."

"Annabeth, are you sure?" Percy asked.

I nodded. "I'll be fine."

I took a fork off of the kitchen counter and slowly placed it on the tile. Sure enough, the tile opened up, and the fork disappeared into the abyss below.

"We gotta go down there!" Hazel said.

"Are you sure? It could be dangerous."

"Dangerous is what we do, isn't it?" I smirked. And I stepped on the tile, and fell, demigods falling behind me.

We fell for what felt like thirty seconds, bringing back bad flashbacks. I guess for Percy as well, because he dove forward and wrapped his arms around my waist.

We finally fell on the floor, which was painful, and left a scratches and bruises. The room was pitch black.

"Where the Hades are we?" Thalia demanded. "Where's Piper?"

Across the room, I spotted a body that I recognized as Piper, laying still, but still breathing and groaning.

"Guys!" I whisper-shouted, "there!"

I heard Jason and Percy whisper something behind me. Percy and Piper have a brother/sister relationship that is really  strong.

A light flicked on over her body to reveal a cage around her. She had wires wrapped around her wrists and ankles, and one big one around her forehead.

She started to regain consciousness. "Guys?" she whispered with a raspy voice. "Get out. Now!"

"No!" Jason refused.

Piper groaned in pain.

"Piper?"

Weird shocking noises came from something behind the cage. Piper's eyes glowed, and she screamed in pain.

"Piper!"

She continued to scream and her eyes glitch in color. They switch from glowing , to normal constantly.

Piper finally stops, and collapses once again.

Chains come snaking towards us. Literally. I hear screams for boyfriends/girlfriends, friends, and in pain.

And before we know it, we're in our own cages.

It started with Thalia.

Thalia was the first one to go through the same process as Piper.

I watched as she screamed in pain, her blue eyes more electric than ever before.

Now, I don't know if I was the only one screaming, but that's all I could hear in the moment. Tears welled up in my eyes as the adrenaline ran through my veins. This was as painful as watching Thalia die when I was seven.

When I finally stopped, I realized that Percy, Nico, and Jason were all screaming for Thalia as well.

Who was next?

I watched as Connor and Katie went down.

I couldn't even imagine how Travis could be feeling. His girlfriend and brother being tortured in front of his eyes.

He didn't get too much time to mourn, as he was next.

Next was Hazel.

I have never heard Nico in so much pain, even when Bianca died. Frank, of course, was ridiculously upset.

After Hazel was Nico, Frank, Jason, and Calypso.

"Sunshine!!!!" I could hear from Leo.

But he was next.

It was horrible. Imagine watching everyone you know, everyone you hold so dear, being tortured right in your face.

And I knew whoever was doing this was going to leave Percy for last, so he could watch every single one.

After Leo was Chris. All that was left were Reyna, Clarisse, Percy, and I.

Calypso x, Travis x, Connor x, Katie x, Chris x, Clarisse, Thalia x, Reyna, Nico x, Leo x, Hazel x, Frank x, Piper x, Jason x, Annabeth, Percy.

I don't know what told me, but I was next.

I looked up at Percy, trying to get a last glance at him before I go down. But that stupid Seaweed Brain, he can read right through me.

"No."

I felt electricity shot through my veins. My whole body ached, but my eyes hurt the most. I heard screams, but I still couldn't tell you if it was me or Percy. I felt something in the pit of my stomach, looking for something that wasn't there. It all ended, and I was still awake. I was still sitting up.

"What just -"

The machines tryed for Reyna.

I could tell she was trying to contain her screams, but she was failing miserably.

But Reyna remained the same as me.

Then it tryed for Clarisse. Same results.

That meant one thing.

"NO!"

But I was too late.

I watched as the strength was drained out of Percy as I cried. He collapsed.

"Why aren't we affected?" Clarisse asked.

"Are you insane? We don't have powers!" Reyna scolded.

"We need to get out."
