Annabeth

Lena walked into the Athena cabin, a grim expression on her face.

"I'm going back to EAS. Right now," She said, "Rory and Chase can come if they want, but I have to go back."

I waited for her to say more, but she didn't. "What happened with Athena?" I asked. Mom could be kind of harsh sometimes, I wondered what she'd said to make Lena want to leave.

Lena told me what Athena had said, about her past. "My siblings are in danger, I have to go back."

I agreed with her, but driving back to San Francisco, where we'd picked them up, seemed to be something we should do in the morning.

"Lena, we can't g-" I started, but she cut me off. 

"If your siblings were in danger, would you wait?"

I thought about it for a moment. I wasn't really close with my younger brothers, but they were still family. I wouldn't leave them if they were in trouble.

"No," I replied.

"Exactly."

"But, what do you want to do? steal the pegasi and go for a midnight ride to San Francisco?"

"That, or I could use the Manhattan entrance."

"There's an entrance to Ever after school in Manhattan?"

"Actually, there are entrances in all the states."

"How does that even work? It's not logically possible."

"Magic." She replied. "Anyway, can you tell me where Rory and Chase are? They are probably gonna wanna come."

We snuck out of my cabin. It was past curfew and the harpies were probably on patrol so we had to be extra careful.

We were halfway to the big house when I bumped into someone.

"Percy?" I asked surprised. "What're you doing out here past curfew?"

He hesitated. "Well what are you and Lena doing out past curfew?"

"We're um just... going on a night walk?"

"Wrong answer. your not very good at lying." He rolled his eyes. 

"We're going back to EAS." Lena said. "And you can't stop us."

"Ok, fine, I won't tell anyone you snuck out if you don't tell anyone I snuck out. Also, can I maybe come with you?"

"Okay, sure," I said.

We made our way to the big house where Rory and Chase were staying for the night.

We went to their room to wake them up, but it turns out they were already awake.

Lena filled them in on what happened and they immediately got up and came. Chase grabbed his sword and we left camp.

I suddenly remembered something. "Wait, how are you guys gonna get to the city? We can't walk all the way there."

Chase and Rory just smiled. "You'll see," Chase said with a smirk.

We got to the top of halfblood hill. 

Lena zipped open the bag she carried everywhere, and brought out a vial. She got to work on something and in a few minutes, there was a portal where we were standing.

"How did you-" I started.

"Like I said before, magic." Lena said.

I decided not to ask her anything else. 

We stepped through the portal to a completely different place than we were in before. It looked just like I'd imagined it.

"Welcome to EAS." Rory said.
