AU where lives aren't as bad as I usually headcanon them to be
For example
Kris's home life is usually controlling and oppressive because of their mother. But in this AU, their dad is stronger and Kris grew up learning basically "Do no harm but take no shit." Their mother was nicer and actually took good care of her children, and when Kris came out as nonbinary with the help of their brother, they were actually accepted, so thanks to their dad and brother they've got a bunch of self-confidence. The way Kris got to Hometown was because their family took a field trip there and Kris didn't want to leave and you all know Toriel's motherly nature. So then they met Asriel and immediately hit it off with him and things got better, and then Kris's close friendship with Berdly happened because I headcanon that that was once a thing. And then the Incident that usually happens in the human town that makes them mute, they applied the "Do no harm but take no shit" and prevented the injury(and any injury besides twisting the attacker's wrist) from happening so they can talk in this AU.
And then there's Susie over there, she's still a bully but she's less of a bully, she only threatens people when they catch her doing something bad but it's rarely physical contact, Kris is still a usual target but they take it like friendly fighting and have established a little bit of a slightly twisted friendship with her so they're both more chill in this AU
Also Kris is louder and more social and bold in this AU thanks to their life with their human family who come to visit sometimes
Now, on to the Dark World, Ralsei isn't much different, he's still the most precious bean you ever did see
As for Lancer, Roulxs has made a better impression on his life than the Spade King, who is a little more merciful but still mean and violent, so Lancer is an even more precious bean than before and helps the gang to defeat his dad.
For Jevil and Seam, Jevil understands that the consequence of losing his game is death, which is unpleasant whether you're real or not, so he ends the game when the last party member is at 10 HP or lower, and for Seam, he's a little nicer, not as depressed and pessimistic.
The enemies don't hate their jobs as much and are nicer with their attacks because Lancer and Roulxs make sure they're well fed and well paid and all that jazz

So this AU certainly lives up to it's name
It's the fluff I was destined to write eventually instead of all the angst I do almost 24/7
