I stood at the edge of the cliff, the bottom lurking just out of sight. I stepped closer to the edge, preparing to hurdle myself into nonexistence.

"H-hey, you shouldn't stand that close to the edge, it's dangerous!" A voice called out from behind me.

"Yeah, that's, uh, kinda the point." I called back.

I felt someone walk up behind me. I grimaced as they grabbed my wrist and started pulling in the opposite direction of the cliff. I ripped my hand away and turned around, rubbing my scarred wrist.

"Hey, what do you think you're-"

Standing before me was what appeared to be a living stuffed animal. He was crying...?

"P-please, don't do that. I couldn't -" I found it hilarious that this fluff butt that I've never even met before today thought he could stop me from a decision I made years ago, but only had the guts to act on now.

"Oh, please, spare me. No amount of stuffed animals and hugs could fix a mess this big. You're just delaying the inevitable. So move." The boy looked at the ground. Maybe that was a bit harsh. Then again, why would I care? I was just gonna die anyway, and then nobody would remember anything about me. 

 "Please, let me try. I couldn't live with myself if I let you go. Just come with me, please. Allow me to give you enough of a reason to live."

 This guy was blind. Why would he even care about me? Even so, he looked pretty pathetic... I decided to just take one day to see what he had to offer.

 "Fine. You have one day to undo years of trauma. Good luck." His head whipped up in shock, his eyes shining with relief. 

 He wrapped his arms around me and gave me the most comforting hug I've ever had. I awkwardly patted his back. He stood on his toes and kissed my cheek.

Maybe living wouldn't be so bad, after all.
