"I can do ANYTHING!" (Hahaha) You say loudly, ignoring the disappointed and surprised looks from the other students. You look at Dr Alphys, who was sweating and scratching the back of her head. "Um..Y/N, I don't think human bodies can withstand monster magic, sorry." You cross your arms in defiance, glaring at your grade teacher. "If humans can't do it, then IM NOT HUMAN!" You stand from your seat, raising a hand. "I WILL PERSONALLY FIND A WAY TO GET MONSTER MAGIC."

The bell rings, signalling interval.

You pack up your books and stuff them into your bag, still thinking about how you were to obtain magic. You don't really know how to, and you've sworn that you've asked all the monsters in town...wait, no, there's one you haven't asked yet. You didn't know whether she was nice or not, but from what you see of her, you didn't want to know. She just walked around school, skipping classes every now and again. She barely talked, only talking if she wanted to. You were lucky enough to get a "hey" from her, but she didn't look like she was interested in talking to anyone. Her name was Susie, you heard.

But you HAD to find out if magic was compatible with humans.

You wouldn't have it any other way.

Outside of the school, there was a bench that you would sit on everyday during intervals and after school. So you sit there and think. The trees were bright yellow and orange, the sun shining on everything around you. You think hard, looking around, the trees, the school building, the flower garden outside of the school doors, as if a blessing would appear out of nowhe-

"Hey."

You snap out of your thinking zone, and look in front of you. Speak of the damn devil. The monster girl was in front of you, smiling as if she had seen something funny. Her eyes were covered by her hair, so you couldn't see her properly. You clear your throat and she sits next to you, leaning back into the chair, her hands behind her head. She seemed chill. What happened to all those rumours of her being mean to everyone?

"You're Y/N, right?"

You nod, not knowing what else to do. She smiles even more, you don't know how to feel. Usually you would shout at anyone who dares to laugh at you. Because you can do anything! That was your everyday motive, to prove to everyone that you can do anythi-

"You can't do everything, you know. There are some things in the world that you can't do, no matter how hard you try. Learn your limits."

You couldn't believe it, how dare she?!

"Listen here, "Susie". Just because you're the bully of the school doesn't mean that I'm afraid of you, alright?! You can't tell me my limits, you don't know me!!"

She smiles even more. Now her teeth are showing.

"WHATS SO FUNNY?!"

"Nothing." She says simply. She then looks toward you. "Im not smiling because I find you funny, I'm smiling because I was idiotic enough to think I could mess with you." Your face turned from red hot anger to confusion. Just, confusion.

"I don't think you're stupid, or even weird. Sometimes, I even think that you're the only person in school that has a chance in life, to be honest."

Face: Confused.

"You're constantly pushing yourself to be greater, and don't get me wrong, that simply makes you better than me. But just listen when I say this."

She moves closer to you, and puts a hand on your shoulder. You can almost feel her hair on your face. You feel awkward, but you don't want to move away.

"Everyone has limits, okay? It's annoying as hell, but it's something that we can't escape from. Now, about that monster magic thing."

You perk up immediately, out of your Susie trance.

"What do you know about it, Susie?"

"You would probably die from it, and I don't want you to die so I would advise you to give in on that idea."

"Not something I really want to hear."

Susie smiles.
