Ep8. Vampire/Siren
"Why do I and everyone I love, pick people who treat us like nothing? I don't want to be somebody's crush. I want people to like the real me"
Vampires weaknesses.
"It was miraculous and a rapid recovery. I've never experienced such here before especially with the deadly bite of a vampire!" Tzuyu smiled cryptically as the doctor felt proud of his job, he made mention of treating several patients with the same issues of vampire's bite but never had they survived and there was Miss Sana Maxwell Minatozaki, regaining her strength just in two days of admission. "Can we see her? And take her home?"" Tzuyu asked getting impatient. It was just 7 o'clock and her skin were getting warm. The fear of sun/daylight. "Yes! Sure! You may go in." The aged doctor smiled and patted Tzuyu's back firmly as he walked on. Two nurse came by him, they talked on.
Sunmi turning to Tzuyu, smiled "where do we go from here?", she asked and the Taiwanese just sighed and looked away. "My mind's made up" she cleared as Sunmi and ChungHa looked at themselves then back at Tzuyu with a chorus question "on what?". Tzuyu circled a bunch of keys in her fingers, inhaled and exhaled " that she'll return back home after now". This words caught both girls off guard as they looked at each other. "What the fuck are you tryna do?! That's crazy Tzuyu! She'll definitely expose us!" Sunmi said aloud. ChungHa momentarily sighed while thinking deeply. "Then I'm fine with it." The Taiwanese replied with disinterest and walked into the ward. Sunmi sighed, her skinny fingers dancing on her forehead. Door slammed against them as Sunmi threw her hands up in the air "Chung! What have you to say?", she asked the dark haired young lady who only smiled for an answer and talked towards passed Sunmi, approaching the door in which was supposed to be Sana's ward. Then, she discovered that the door was just a little space left to close up completely, she folded up her arms, watching every scenery with smiles plastered on her face. Sunmi nevertheless, joined her in peeking through.
"Things don't happen all of a sudden Sunmi. I thought you knew" ChungHa started off. Sunmi turned sideways to look at her. "Just take a look at them" ChungHa said as Sunmi looked back at Sana and Tzuyu "buying gifts for her, watching her sleep, doing all cute things couples would do." She sighed for the 1000th time, "what would make Tzuyu all of a sudden wish for the Vampish lady to leave?". Sunmi furrowed her eyebrows as the answer had left her hypnotized.
A loud chuckle cascaded through the inner room. ChungHa and Sunmi looked in closely, smiling widely as they watched Tzuyu play with the lady's hair. They appeared cute.
Cute!
Sunmi smiled understanding it all. Both girls pulled off their gaze from the entrance and walked back to the pavements. Shock and disbelief engulfed Sunmi. ChungHa was right. Tzuyu was slowly falling in love with her captive? How? Tzuyu was the hardcore anti love. It seemed unbelievable to Sunmi. Both girls kept on walking and driven by their thoughts, never realised how far they were moved, until they reached the elevator and turned to each other. Both laughter exploded. Not a chuckle, or a smirk, but blissful, whole-hearted laughter. Sunmi was weak at the knees, struggling for breath. Before she knew it, she was on her knees, a giggling mess. Thanks to Tzuyu. On the private ward the atmosphere was completely different. The air had a perfumed scent and the seats were plush. Every surface was dustless. The nurses were unhurried and they moved with a serene purposefulness from room to room on their rounds. There were vases of flowers and beautiful framed pieces of art on the walls. In the corridor was a water dispenser and in most rooms could be heard the noise of a television. Sunmi and ChungHa wrapped their arms around each other, their smiles, measureless.
Tzuyu stood by the window, in the curtained cubical, examining the polystyrene tiled ceiling, then her eyes gracing the outer view from the fourth floor. She did this to while away time as Sana wore some new clothes she'd gotten for her. "It fits", Sana said making Tzuyu to turn and face her " thank you" she added. Tzuyu nodded with a wide grin. Sana returned the smile.
"I was thinking we visit the gun VX2 before going home" Tzuyu suggested wearing her tuxedo. "Why?" Sana asked calmly gaining a careless shrug from the latter "just to cool off, you know and lowkey celebrate your quick recovery. I don't know about everyone else but i do that to celebrate" she added and winked at the Japanese who smiled "ok...ieeee. Fine" Sana said. Tzuyu nodded and picked up her car keys from the table, "ok! Let's go". She was about to dash out of the ward when Sana, held her arms gaining a sudden look from the Taiwanese. " you have to check out" Tzuyu smiled "never mind. I already did" she said with a smile and moved on. Sana shrugged and followed right after her.
Both girls walked out of the ward and soon stepped into the halls. The hallway had as much personality as the rest of the hospital. The floor is slate grey and the walls dove. Above the ceiling is made from those polystyrene squares laid on a grid-like frame. The light's too bright for anyone's eyes after the darkening gloom outside, Tzuyu find it abrasive, enough perhaps to bring on one of her migraines. There are commercial prints on the wall, tasteful in the dull kind of way. This place certainly isn't run by risk-takers and she guessed she should find comfort in that. Above every door she passed had a large plastic sign, dark with white lettering- no fancy fonts, just bold and all-caps. Slowly and mildly, Tzuyu felt a hand interlocking with hers. Looking sideways, her heart melted at the smile of the blonde haired. Those smiles gave her source of Christmas happiness. Without returning the smile, Tzuyu looked ahead while the brunette glued to her captor.
Time flew quickly.
Momo inhaled and exhaled. It was already 10 Am and she had nothing to do. She just remained glued to her cushion switching channels as the thoughts of Taeyong kept ringing in her memory lane. Both were fond of cuddling while they watch whatever programme it was. Ninety percent of the times they spent before the TV was sincerely invested on each other's warmth. But ever since Momo ended her relationship with Taeyong, it had never being lonely until now. For the first time in her life, she found herself alone. A huddled heap of ripped jeans and torn coats, she sat alone and utterly terrified in the sudden darkness. The dark consumed her frail form. Her mother wasn't there to soothe her fears, nor was Veronika to tell her stories. It was just her, alone in her mansion. She couldn't tell why the lights had gone off but she didn't bother either. The silence echoing in her ears was the constant white noise that never shut up. She was completely and utterly alone in her mind, body, soul, and most of all, entirely alone in the world. Momo had always been so self-conscious when she cried but now, she just gave way to the enormity of her grief. She sobbed into her hands and the tears dripped between her fingers, raining down onto her teddy bear that laid on her lap. Her breathing was ragged, gasping and the strength left her legs.
8:55 PM, Tzuyu looked sideways at the sleepy Japanese. She looked up closely at Sana. Really looked up at her as if just noticing her for the first time. She noticed the way her eyebrows raised a centimetre or two, lined with something between worry and concern and her closed eyes. Feeling guilty for being the cause of her captivity, she looked away and straightforward at the slowly moving traffic. It had rained terribly but subsided. The traffic was gridlock. Every car had turned off it's engine, drivers wandered on the highway looking up and down for clues. Tzuyu remained still in her car and soon, the traffic improved back to stop-start, as cars hopped down the road like hog-tied frogs toward yet another set of springtime roadworks.
Flashing of lights here and there. Tzuyu flickered her eyes open and close. Something was fishy. She could sense strangeness. Placing her gun by her side, the numbers of moving humans on uniform increased, her plans wouldn't be successful even if she tried. By the structure approaching, the Taiwanese could sense it was a female detective. She hid the gun perfectly above her head and picking up a human mask, she hurriedly wore it on Sana's face, making her lost in her sleep by her powers. Pulling off her, she hurriedly relaxed back to her seat and disguised like nothing was wrong.
Within a minute of her quick act, a light flashed in her car. She blinked in order to protect her eyes from the brightness of the torchlight the female cop was holding. "I'm sorry for bothering you sir but i and my crew are out in search for Miss Sana Maxwell Minatozaki" The cop said. Tzuyu took no offence in being referred to as 'sir', it was something she was used to. "Have you seen anyone like this?" The female cop added and stretched in a picture of Sana. Tzuyu gulped at first but shook her head after awhile, "no, i don't know her from Adam" Tzuyu replied and the cop took the picture back to her breast pocket. "Mind me looking at the face of your neighbour?" She asked gaining a nod from Tzuyu. The female cop flashed her torchlight across Sana's face. "Oh...., " the cop stuttered. She bowed "I'm sorry about disturbing. Have a splendid journey ahead" the cop said and bowed to Tzuyu who without wasting time zoomed off. Sorn bite her lip as she hurried back to Sandara, bypassing other detectives. "General" she called gaining a look from her as she continued "there's something suspicious about the car i just let go of". Sandara continued to jolt some things down " what's it?". Sorn gulped, breathed in and out, "the last person i just checked looked suspiciously mysterious and....and the passenger by his side had an attachment on her face?" Sorn uttered, already trembling. Sandara heard her and turned to her, studying her every moves.
"How sure are you that you aren't working with instincts? How am i sure that you're right?" Dara asked.
"She is right." Hyorin said, gaining the attention of virtually every detective. Sandara turned to Hyorin for more explanations "once, at the Clark estate, during our spy patrol day. I'd come in contact with her and her response on the kidnap of miss Sana wasn't confidential". Dara nodded and turning back to sorn, she asked "you remember the car's Platte number?" She asked and Hyorin chipped in "never mind, i know just where she lives". Sandara turned to the brunette with a wide smile "ok...let's hit the road"
ChungHa strolled down her feed, whiling away time as Sunmi dressed up properly after an hour bath. " have you called Tzuyu?" She asked ChungHa while putting on her Burgundy Drawstring Hood.
"Yes i did" ChungHa replied, eyes still gracing the view of her phone. "What about Momo?" Sunmi asked. ChungHa sighed gaining a look from the latter "why is that Chung?". It had being a day without reaching out to their best friend Momo. "To be fair, if you ask me, i sincerely don't know what's wrong with Momo" ChungHa begun "I know I'm bad at love. I've never been so crazily inlove as she but at least, she ought to know her worth. Taeyong is not the only guy in the world. She could find someone else and! He! Could find Someone else too! Right?! rather than this call and settle issues. It's frustrating. Sometimes, i feel as if both are not matured enough to be in any relationship at all". Sunmi scoffed as she gently applied her Silver Lids on her eyes. "You don't rob peter to pay Paul ChungHa. We all are different, we see things in different perceptive. No one should judge the other, for non of us humans are perfect except you are some aliens, hence, not from planet earth. The only thing is character and how we react to things. We are not just products of our past; people in our present also influence us and help mold our character."
ChungHa sighed. "If i may say, Momo's attitude affected her relationship big time. You know it. She's always tryna be possessive over what's hers and not; and! that's what i stand against, not yielding to correction". Sunmi sighed and buried her face in her palms.
Sana slowly sat on her bed. Momentarily staring at the ceiling. She was at the verge of escaping her captor, her plans were working out smoothly. Somehow, she'd won Tzuyu's stone heart. Picking up a piece of her hair ribbon that had fallen, a birthday gift Yohanna had presented to her on her birthday night made her flash into deep thoughts and wandered how they would be faring. Instant cold embraced her as she cuddled herself up on her bed. It had being an hour, two minutes of their arrival and she wondered why her captor hadn't invited her to the living room. Over at the hospital, the Taiwanese had being strangely cute to her which she internally prayed would continue but it never occurred again. It seemed like she had so many suitable and dynamic characters and way of life.
"I just called to know how you're faring" a tiny voice said from across the phone. Tzuyu, having her phone by her neck and right ear, walked into the dinning room with a hot kettle of Lipton, pouring the content into a glass cup; she held her phone with her right hand. "Momo. You ok?" Tzuyu asked as Momo hummed over the line "yeah..just that i feel....lonely." She stated as a matter-of-fact and Tzuyu sighed, knowing the situation of things. She smiled. Silence took over ten minutes until Momo broke the silence "i guess you're busy. I'll call you back later" she added and before Tzuyu could say anything further, she hung up. She sighed.
Ding Dong! The door bell rang. Leaving her tray of well garnished meal, Tzuyu walked to the door post and having looked through the CCTV camera, furrowed her eyebrows at who she saw. They made her heart jerk up but she summoned the courage to open the door.
Four, they were in number. All dressed in blue and white stripes attire. The Inscrutable faces of the cops before her made her disinterest increase. "Good evening ma'am" A dark haired lady said, stepping out of the other cops who looked straight up at her. She could rightly address Tzuyu as 'ma'am' because, Tzuyu was on a pink fluffy sleep shirt. It revealed much of her beautiful curves that had the male cops drooling, imaginatively. "My name is Sandara Park. We are from the cheongsam police agency", Tzuyu blinked her eyes nonchalantly. "and we are here to search your house for a missing Lady by name Miss Sana Maxwell Minatozaki" The dark hired said and Tzuyu scoffed "why? Why my house? You could check some other house, I'm busy" Tzuyu bluntly said and turned her back to move into her house when she heard triggers being pulled behind her, so she stopped. "It's either you let us in or reap the consequences while letting us in" the dark haired fearlessly said. Other cops had being altered and taken protective sides.
Tzuyu's eyes went from purple to red. Nothing upset her as being threatened. She folded her hands into a fist. The silent panic reactions from the cops made them tightened their grip around their pistols until the figure of Sana appeared behind the Taiwanese. Her angry reddened eyes was covered by a series of white and black, it's usual form. Tzuyu widened her eyes, utterly surprised. The Japanese was supposed to be in her room. Tzuyu had left her sleeping peacefully but why would she openly come out. Hence, the Taiwanese felt ridiculed but maintained her being.
"Here i am" Sana said making Tzuyu leave her mouth open. The cops were all surprised. Hyorin was right. "Surprised? Don't be. I'm Sana Maxwell Minatozaki. The kidnapped"
Silence ruled.
Sensing the outcome, Tzuyu reinforced her powers to take all the cops down at once. Chae-Rin, sensing her moves, hence finding it suspicious, pulled out a crucifix and threw it on her. "Oh....oh..no" Sana stuttered and covered her mouth with both of her hands. The sight was terrible. Watching the dark haired siren go down slowly while she screamed in pains. By the time, Tzuyu was completely down, two male cops handcuffed her behind her back. "Now, it's high time you left for home. It's been a long while" a female voice whispered to her ears as both her hands were seized from behind by the same person but not handcuffed. Being pushed forward, Sana watched as Tzuyu was being laid at the back seat of a car that was distance from the one in which was being forced to enter. Chae-Rin had pushed Sana into the back seat and sat beside her closing the door. Immediately, the driver locked the door and window. Sana held the knob and tried to escape from her angle but all efforts failed. "Don't try" Chae-Rin said seating comfortably. Sana moved away from Chae-Rin as she panted like she was being chased by wild animals for her life. "Who are you guys?! What do you want from me already?! Where are they taking Tzuyu to?" Sana asked. Chae-Rin wore her seatbelt "We are from the cheongsam police agency. Your case was reported to us by your parents and they seek earnestly for your presence and that's why we are here". The Japanese furrowed her eyebrows " where are you taking me to?" She hesitantly asked. Chae-Rin held her Bluetooth device upfront so much that Sana saw it, she sighed and wore it back. "I'm taking you home and as for that siren, she's going to jail".
Sana's mouth remained agape.
