ELEVEN. kick-ass (2010)
ROBBY, RORY, Demetri, and Sam had decided to hang out at the mall that afternoon.
They quickly learned that Robby's full name was Robert Swayze Keene and that Demetri's favorite movie of the beloved actor (Patrick Swayze) was Donnie Darko.
"Wait." Demetri called, "Is today Wednesday? The new issue of Dungeon Lord came out. Um, do you guys want anything from the comic book store?"
He didn't bother for an answer, rushing off to let them known to not let anyone throw away his chicken.
The trio laughed and continued to talk about whatever before getting up and throwing their food away, making sure to grab Demetri's chicken.
Sam and Robby separated to use the bathroom and Rory stood nearby, holding Demetri's chicken.
That's when she noticed him running towards the food court, slamming his hand's against the table and turning to find Hawk, and who she assumed to be other Cobra Kai members ganging up around him.
Rory stepped forward, dropping Demetri's chicken on a nearby table along with her bag.
One of the Corba Kai members grabbed Demetri, holding him back, preventing him from defending himself.
"What are you doing?" Rory called.
"It'd be best to back off." A Cobra Kai member called.
Rory grabbed the boy by the shoulders, kneeing him the groin.
She turned her attention back towards Hawk, "What are you doing?"
He stepped forward, "He wrote a nasty review about our dojo. Maybe if he wasn't such a pussy he could've—"
"Maybe if your dick wasn't so far up your ass you'd see that the problem is you." Rory cut off, "Let him go."
Hawk held a tight jaw, balling his fit. Rory took noticed an chuckled.
"Are you going to hit me, Eli?" She asked, "I beg of you to hit me. Show me the man that you are."
Before he could come up with anything, Sam came into play, using one of the Cobra Kai members to lift her weight and kicking the boy holding Demetri, in the face.
Rory tugged on Demetri's arm, pulling him back as herself and Sam stood forward.
"You guys need to back off." Sam spoke.
"I don't wanna have to hit a girl." Eli threatened.
"You wouldn't stand a chance." Robby approached.
Hawk scoffed, "Five against four? More like two and a half."
A fight quickly spawned and it was truly five against three because Demetri only stood in the middle of all of it.
The fight only ended when Rory turned seeing Hawk approaching her with his fist drawn.
She lifted her leg to kick him in the chest, causing the boy to fall towards the ground in agony.
A crowd had grown around the commotion and Rory made her way towards Hawk, squatting down.
"I don't know who you are anymore." She muttered, "But I know that I want nothing to do with you."
She stood up, turning towards the others. Robby held her bag in her hands and Sam handing Demetri his chicken tray.
The four looked back once more before leaving the mall and heading back to the LaRusso's.
RORY DECIDED to head home after being at the LaRusso's for a couple of hours.
She was both physically and mentally exhausted and her head was killing her. One of those Cobra Kai's had kicked Rory on the ground, her head hitting on of the tables as they watched her fall.
She didn't think to much of it as she made her way inside.
"Aurora!"
She held her eyes shut for a moment, muttering profanities under her breath as she continued to step forward into kitchen.
Jack sat by the island and turned his chair to face his youngest twin daughter.
"I heard what happened at the mall."
"Really?"
"Are you hurt?" He asked standing.
She rested her hand on the back on her head for a moment before removing it, shaking her head.
"I'm fine."
"Aurora."
"I'm fine." She chuckled, "Just a headache is all."
"Why we're you fighting in the first place?"
"I was protecting my friend. That was all. I didn't intend for it to get out of hand like that."
Jack sighed, "Whoever they are, they don't care what you identify as, okay? They'll kick your ass if that's what their taught. I'm proud that you stood up for your friend, but you have to be careful, Rory. I was how those Cobra Kai kids play."
"I understand." She sighed, "I'm gonna go shower."
Rory stepped away and made her way upstairs.
Jack was right. Cobra Kai were going to play dirty and do whatever they could to win.
Anything.
Some time later, Rory laid in her bed, watching Kick-Ass on her laptop. Her blanket wrapped around her head as she watched Dave Lizewski get his ass kicked and hit by a car.
She soon heard tapping against her bedroom window and turned with caution. She sighed in relief and stood to her feet to let Robby inside.
He soon made he way inside and Rory closed her window. She turned with furrowed brows and concern.
"What are you doing here?"
"I never got the chance to ask you if you were okay after the fight at the mall."
"That couldn't have been a phone call?" She asked with a chuckle.
"Maybe I just wanted to see you."
Rory smiled, her blanket still covering her head as she made her way to lock the bedroom door.
If Jack or Layla walked in on her with a boy in her room; a boy they hadn't seen walk through their front door... they would kill him.
Robby took a step closer, his gaze locked on hers, "I wanted to male sure you were alright." He continued, "The fight at the mall... I know it must have been tough."
Her eyes met his again, gratitude shining through her gaze, "I guess so. Thank you for checking on me."
In that moment, time stood still. Their eyes held an unspoken conversation, a silent understanding passing between them. And without further hesitation, their lips met in a tender, heartfelt kiss.
With each passing moment, their kiss intensified. The world outside ceased to exist.
Their bodies pressed closer as if drawn together by an invisible force. Rory could feel the warmth of Robby's chest against hers, his heartbeat matching the rhythm of her own.
They lost themselves in the moment, their bodies instinctively moving in perfect harmony. Rory's arms wrapped around Robby's neck, pulling him impossibly closer, their bodies melding together as if they were meant to fit in this precise way.
The room seemed to fade away, replaced by a realm where only their touch, taste, and the rhythm of their breathing mattered. Every brush, every caress, spoke volumes of unspoken emotions, creating a language only they understood.
As they finally broke the kiss, their foreheads rested gently against each other, their breaths mingling in a harmonious symphony of contentment. Their bodies remained close, their hearts pounding in unison.
"I'm glad you came." She whispered, her voice filled with warmth.
If only that good thing lasted a lifetime.
