As she left the room... Leaving him soaked in her tears.... He was breathing hard... Unable to comprehend what emotion he is feeling right now....
He was always able to read her like a book... He understood her like no one else...
. And may be that was the reason he could understand that possibly she has fallen in love with him.
.. And was oblivious of her own feelings....
For what else could be the reason that she clung to him pleading for an answer instead of hating him...
He could feel the tenderness of her skin...the warmth of her gaze..which hasn't changed even after whatever had happened....
He had killed her brother... How could she possibly love a person who murdered her brother....

.. Even when she uttered venomous words for him... He could feel the conflict going on between hear heart and her mind while articulating those words.....
What else could it be if not love....

He cringed inwardly at the very idea... That his treacherous heart still hoped for her to love him... He didn't deserve her love......
He didn't deserve her kindness or affection....
And yet a part of him was longing for her more then ever before..... Now that he knows she is as utterly broken as him... As twisted as him... As vulnerable as him....

As days passed by....

Everything was slowly getting back in its place.....

Naina was still not in talking terms with rajveer..maybe becuase she was just not prepared to deal with the array of emotions that surged inside her each time his gaze met hers.
....
He knew it would take time for her to accept the truth...

He could witness a look of understanding....and some more tender emotions in her eyes for him...

Naina had called abhimanyu requesting him to help... As he was supposedly the only link to find out the truth....

Rajveer and naina would not talk but their eyes would convey all the unsaid feelings to each other.... While they spent hours finding out the link to unravel mystery of naveen's case.....

"hame lagta he ki ye paheli tabtak nahi sulajhne wali jabtak hum naveen ke kaatil ko nahi dhoond lete"

Hearing this startled naina more than rajveer..... She was scared.. Scared for him... Scared about the consequences of revealing the truth to abhi....
Scared of the fact that she might lose him....
Rajveer had it coming... He knew that he would have to reveal the truth to abhi.. In order for their search to progress....
The very evening...rajveer and abhimanyu were sitting in his room... And rajveer was about to reveal that he was the one who killed naveen... Naina barged inside.. Without knocking...
Almost breathless as if she has rushed all the way...
"i need to talk to captain rajveer alone... For a moment sir" she said almost in one breath...
Abhi could sense something tender brewing between these two right from the moment he had arrived kma....
He could notice the affection in his friends eyes as he talked of naina....
"sure... Hame chalna chahiye ab... Good night"
He left them and went to his room...
"kya baat he cadet singh aapko agar koi baat karni thi to hum kal kar lete
.... Ye kya tareeka he"
He tried to sound strict... But his words sound hollow even to himself... Of course she has all right in the world to come to him any time she pleases..
.
"jaroorat thi.... Aap captn abhimanyu ko sach nahi bataenge samjhe aap"

Raj was startled with the authority in her tone....
"captn. Abhimanyu ko sach batana jaroori he....me is bojh ke saath ab aur nahi reh sakta"

"aap samajhte kyun nahi... Ho sakta he ke sach janne ke baad captn. Abhimanyu badal jaae... Wo nahi samajh paye to...sir..pls listen to me...wo nahi samajh paenge aapne esa kyu kiya.... Pls don't tell him..."

And the reality dawned upon him...

Maybe what he thought was true...

Maybe she was actually in love with him.. What else could be the reason of this concern... What else could be the reason that his safety mattered to her more than finding about naveen's case....
"aur kya tum samajhti ho mujhe"
He asked her looking straight in her eyes... Both of them knew why he chose to ask this..... Both of them knew the answer to this...

She was staring..... Unable to find words to speak.....
.
"kya tum bharosa karti ho mujhpe.... Sabkuch janne ke baad bhi..."

She was still trying to collect herself... To find some words to speak... He ascended towards her.... Clutching her arms made her look towards him....

He knew what he was doing wasn't appropriate... That he has no right to ask her anything...
Yet.. His rational mind had stopped working... He wanted her to let it out..he was unable to stand her silence anymore... . He wanted to free her of the conflict going on between her mind and her heart
.... He wanted her to vent all the pain out...
Moreover he wanted to know what she feels about him... If at all she feels about him..
. It was wrong... So wrong of him to ask her this... But he couldn't hold back..... He was human after all... He had a right to be selfish.. A right to love... A right to hope that he would be loved back... He had right to fall weak....
" Yes... I do" she said almost in a whisper...... Her voice getting hoarse...
"me ab bhi aap pe vishwaas karti hu.. Ab bhi aap ko samajhti hu...."she said looking straight into his eyes...

His eyes filled with tears listening to her reply.....
His voice getting hoarse...a big lump in his throat.. Trying not to break down at the moment.......
All he managed to ask was
" kyun"
his gaze darkening... Demanding her to reveal more....
Unable to hold back anymore... She threw herself in his arms.... And he engulfed her in a bone crushing hug.... Not wanting to let go....
