THIRTY-FIVE. the end of an era

RORY SIGHED as she and Tory came up with a plan that they only hoped would be put a complete end to Cobra Kai.

But things would never, ever be normal again. Not for Rory, not for anyone involved. This wasn't something that you could just ignore.

Rory had explained the plan to Sam and asked her to get the guys together so they can further explain what would happen.

The car ride there was completely silent. Tory fiddling with her fingers as she sat in Rory's passengers seat as they drove to the apartments.

Tory knew she needed to apologize for everything. She was the reason Rory had been in the hospital, she was the reason Rory had that scar in her face, she was the reason they weren't close anymore.

Rory had been one of the nicest people Tory had met in a long time and she let her emotions beat her down and take it out on a person who knew nothing.

"Rory?"

The girl glanced over from the driver's side, her brows raised as she continued the drive.

"I'm really sorry for-"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Well, I do."

Rory took in a deep breath and kept her mouth closed as she continued to drive.

Tory sighed. "I should have never done what I did to you. It was wrong, and I regret it... I let my emotions get the best of me and I should've known that you were... going through something and I know that I only added to that. I'm sorry."

Rory remained silent for a moment, not trusting herself to speak. She wasn't sure if she was ready to confront Tory about it just yet.

"I know you're hurt, Rory," Tory continued. "I hate that I gave that scar and... I don't know... I'm sorry. I know I can never fully make it up to you, but I want to try," Tory said, her voice low and remorseful. "If there's anything I can do, please tell me."

Rory finally turned to look at Tory, her eyes puffy and red from tears. "I don't know if there's anything you can do," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "But, um, maybe... whenever I'm ready... we can... talk more."

Tory nodded, watching Rory rub her cheek and pull into the parking space of the apartments.

"I'm really sorry, Rory."

Rory took a deep breath before looking over at Tory.

She genuinely did believe that Tory was sorry for everything she had put that her through. But it wasn't like she was going to forgive the girl overnight... she was terrified when she made her way to Tory's house, it wasn't like she could control how she felt around her, but she could manage it.

She could try and manage it.

"I know." Rory nodded. "I'm sure they're waiting for us."

Rory stepped out the car first and Tory followed behind immediately.

"... and I haven't been able to get in touch with-"

Robby cut himself when he saw Tory and Rory making their way towards the group.

Robby began to step forward, but Rory shook her head gently and he backed off ever so slightly.

"We think we have a way to prove Silver assaulted Stingray." Rory said.

"If the attack happened at the old dojo, that would've been after Silver installed the new security cameras." Tory added.

Miguel nodded, turning towards the others. "So maybe it's all on tape."

Robby sighed. "But that place was cleaned out."

"That might not matter." Demetri said. "I mean, the systems that we sell at TechTown all save the footage to a central server. Silver probably took the whole system with him."

"I think he did." Tory said. "There is a server in his office at the flagship dojo."

"If we get accesses to it, we can definitely find that footage." Hawk said. "We can even post that Stingray clip to their YouTube channel."

Sam nodded. "Get ahold of everyone else. Let them know that we're taking down Cobra Kai... tonight."

With that, the group managed to call and get almost everyone to gather at Cobra Kai.

"If it's the same alarm system, I should be able to bypass it." Robby said.

"Spoken like a man that's done this before." Demetri smiled.

"Yeah, well, karate wasn't my first hobby." Robby said. "I fractured a law or two before we met."

"Or... we can just scan my keycard." Tory said, pushing past the group. "So that those of us on probation keep from, you know, violating it."

"So, what are we doing?" Mitch asked. "All your text says is that we're gonna take down Cobra Kai. But how exactly?

"We're gonna show them who their sensei really is." Miguel said. "We think we have proof that he's a criminal."

"We're going to go upstairs to check out Silver's office." Rory explained. "We need you guys to be our lookout downstairs."

With that, they made their way inside and into Silver's office so Demetri could download the footage from that day.

But there was a problem. As the video began to play, it cut before the attack could happen.

Robby sighed. "Silver covers his tracks."

"So what now?" Rory asked.

"I think there might be some other footage we can use." Tory said.

"You wouldn't happen to know the date and time, do you?" Hawk asked.

Tory sighed, typing onto the keyboard until the clip finally came onto the screen.

"Guys!"

They all looked over and heard commotion happening from downstairs. Sam instructed that Demetri and Hawk stay upstairs while the others checked downstairs to see what had happen.

They made their way down to see Cobra Kai, more specifically, Kenny, kicking Anthony to the ground.

But he didn't matter because all eyes had been on Tory.

"So you're with them now?" Devin asked.

"You knew what would happen if him and his friends ever stepped foot into this dojo again." Kenny spat.

Kyler smiled, looking over at the group. "Mitch, come on, get your ass over here where you belong."

He pushed his way towards the group and stood with Cobra Kai, a smile on his face as he unzipped his jacket and shown the others the Cobra Kai shirt he'd been wearing.

"You're pussy, aren't you, Mitch?" Rory asked.

"Penis Breath, how could you?" Bert asked.

"I don't know. Maybe 'cause they don't call me Penis Breath." Mitch spat. "You know, you guys have been so dead set on taking down Cobra Kai. I didn't even wanna leave in the first place. I mean, look around. They got snacks, swag, smoothies. Our dojo doesn't even have a roof. Or, like, any chicks. No offense."

"And that's what important to you?" Rory asked. "The fame."

"Isn't that your whole life, Rory?"

"Yo, Penis Breath, shut up." Kyler said, hitting his chest. "We got a traitor, yall got a traitor, so that cancels out. So, are we gonna throw down or what?"

"I'm not a traitor." Tory said. "I'm just not buying what Silver is selling. And neither should any of you."

"Silver lied. To all of us." Robby said.

"Us?" Kenny questioned. "What 'us'? Only person who lied to me is you."

"Hey." Miguel called, stepping forward. "Robby's right. You don't wanna do this."

Kenny sighed, turning before looking back. "Yeah, I do." He quickly threw his fist back to hit Miguel, but missed as Miguel dodged the punch.

Cobra Kai had the upper hand because they had more people on their side.

Rory looked over her shoulder to find Robby down on his knees as the Kenny and some other Cobra Kai members continued to kick him down.

She, along with Anthony rushed over to continue the fight, Anthony more so focusing on Kenny more than the others.

Rory sent a final you punch towards one of the Cobra Kai members before helping Robby to his feet.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

He nodded quickly, blood dripping down his nose as he held onto her arm.

"Protect the egg!"

The duo turned, quickly making their way over to join the group as they made a circle around Anthony.

The fight continued and Rory saw that the Cobra Kai trainer, Kim Da-Eun had been stepping on the arm that Tory had severely injured days prior.

Rory made her way over quickly, kicking the woman's other leg to allow Tory to roll herself free.

Rory quickly rushed over, helping the blonde to her feet. "Are you okay?"

Tory nodded and looked over at Kim, her eyes locked on both girls as she held her fighting stance.

The two attacked, getting a few kicks and punches in, but Rory was kicked in the face, which caused blood to begin to trickle down her face.

But soon enough, the video had been uploaded and Anthony began to play the play the video on screen for everyone to see.

The video in question being the one where Tory had confronted Silver about paying off the referee.

"That's it?" Silver called, his hair messy as he approached. "That was your big plan, LaRusso? Breaking into my dojo to steal some footage that changes nothing?"

"It wasn't his plan." Tory said. "It was ours."

"And it changes everything." Robby added.

Silver faced them, only looking at them before looking back at his team. "Our enemies... think they can keep attacking us with no repercussions. And what does the enemy deserve?"

But silence arose, no one speaking or answering Silver's question.

"You think I'm the only one willing to go to these lengths?" Silver asked. "Their senseis broke into my home tonight. My home! Attacked me, unprovoked. But here I am. The only one left standing. They think they're entitled to victory because their way is "right" and our way is "wrong". But that's not how it works. There are no morals to the story, no happy endings. Like isn't a fairytale. It's a competitive sport. Right and wrong, there's no such thing. There are only winners... and losers. Cobra Kai builds winners because we're willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top." Silver said, now looking over at Daniel. "Everything you did to try and stop me amounted to nothing but pain. You got your ass kicked, Danny-boy. Now, you can either accept that... or I can kick it again right now."

With that, the groups stood back as Daniel stepped forward, leaving him and Silver center.

"First, I took care of Chozen, then Jack." Silver sighed. "Now, you. This is where Miyagi-Do ends."

"Miyagi-Do existed before any of us." Daniel said. "It'll be around long after we're gone. The roots are strong so the tree will survive."

But the fight was just as quick. Daniel quickly taking Silver to the ground and leaving him there as he kicked him, shattering glass all over the place.

The police and ambulance were called and Rory quickly rushed outside to see her father standing there, leaning against her car.

She quickly engulfed him into her arms.

"Hey, hey..." Jack smiled, hugging her back. "I've been stabbed so, be careful."

"God, the way Silver put it... I thought you were-"

Jack smiled. "I'm okay. I promise. Are you?"

Rory nodded, wiping her nose with the back of her hand, her blood now dried.

"I'll be fine."

Jack nodded. "I'll be the hospital. Try to let your mom know without freaking out too much."

Rory nodded, a small smile on her face. "I'll try to."

With that, Jack gave Rory one last gently squeeze before making his way towards the ambulance.

Rory heavily sighed, turning to see Robby heading towards her.

"Any luck with Kenny?" She asked.

"No."

"He'll come around." She said. "They all will... eventually."

Robby nodded in agreement, a small smile forming on his lips. And then, without warning, he leaned in and pressed his lips to Rory's.

Rory was caught off guard, her eyes widening in surprise. But as she felt Robby's lips moving against hers, her initial shock gave way to something else entirely. With a soft sigh, she melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms around him and deepening the embrace.

For a few blissful moments, they were lost in their own world, their worries and fears forgotten.

And maybe this time, everything would be just okay.
