Deku x Mermaid OC
Deku was walking across the beach. The very beach he spent so many months training to prepare himself in order to inherit All Might's quirk. It was hard and exhausting, but it was worth it.
He was honestly surprised by what has happened in less than a year since he started attending UA. But he was still determined in becoming a hero. He was so busy reminiscing through his memories that he didn't know he was being watched.
"I still have a long way to go. But I know I can do this!" Deku was saying, trying to pump himself up. "But then again, I still have two years left." He said, a gloomy aura emitting from him. But before he could wallow even more, he heard a splash. He looks behind him and saw the faintest shine from something.
He then sees a shadowy figure within the water, "Huh?" The boy says. The figure then swims away. Curious and not wanting to scare it, Deku follows it quietly. Deku follows the figure not exactly knowing where he was going. He then comes across a section of the beach that he has never seen before. He looks back and finds how far away he was, "Wow. This is really far." He comments.
He looks back and finds that he is at some kind of rock cove. He hears water splashing and carefully navigate through the rocky area. What he finds is definitely not what he expected.
What sat on a ledge is a beautiful girl who looked to be around his age. She had light fair skin, long shiny brown hair that reached her waist, and a long, beautiful, purple fish tail. Her back was turned to him so he couldn't get a good view of her face. There was only one thing that came to Deku's mind to describe this being, "A mermaid?" He mutters. Deku has heard of mermaids, but this was most likely the girl's quirk.
He felt like he was invading her privacy and decided to leave. However, he stepped on a slippery rock and fell hitting his head and blacking out.
Deku felt something weird. He slowly opens his eyes and looks to find a pair of eyes that could be mistaken for sapphires. "Are you okay? I did my best, luckily it was only a minor concussion. and a small cut." A soft, gentle voice spoke and Deku's eyes widen and he sat up quickly, but that ended up with him having a headache. He shuts his eyes and caress his head, "Careful! You should take it easy." The voice said sternly.
After the pain subsided, the greenette looks over to find a girl with a face that was round but also slightly sharp and had pink lips that were a little plump. He looked down to find that she had a fish tail. She is the mermaid, (and her long hair was the only thing covering her chest, in which her breasts were huge and he almost had a nosebleed).
He realized he was staring and looked away, covering his face, "I-I'm s-sorry to b-b-bother you." He stutters. The mermaid tilts her head, "Why are you looking away?" She asks innocently.
Deku looks back at her, but quickly averts his eyes from her figure, "She's not embarrassed? I mean she should at least have a top on and what if someone sees her and-" He mutters. He became lost in his thoughts and didn't notice the girl scoot closer to him. She looked down at his legs and couldn't help but be fascinated by them.
She reached out and gently grasped one of Deku's legs. This lead to the green-eyed boy to jump causing the girl to retract her hand. "Sorry. I've just never been this close to a human before." She said. Deku was confused, "But aren't you a human? Isn't this your quirk?" He asks. The mermaid places a finger on her chin and looks down, then jolts in realization. "Oh! Is that what you call them? And no, I am not human. By the way I'm Jayori." She explains.
Deku didn't know what to say. This being was an actual mermaid. He couldn't believe it. "So, are you going to tell me your name or-" Jayori asks. "Oh! Right! I'm Izuku M-Midoriya." He tells her. He was keeping his eyes on her face, he did not want to be seen as a pervert (but Jayori is not bothered by her, Uh exposure).
Deku remembers her touching his leg, "Is that why you grabbed my leg?" He asks. Jayori nods her head, "Yeah. It's just, I have been told that humans were dangerous. But I can't help it. I always wanted to converse with them and legs look so fascinating to me." She explains.
She had this spark in her eyes when she mentions humans, it reminded him of how he is when he talks about heroes or quirks. "Well, I have never meant a real mermaid before. Your tail is really pretty." He compliments her. Jayori smiles at him, "Thank you." She responds.
The two talked for hours until the sun started to set, "Oh Crud! I have to get back to the dorms!" Deku said, surprised time has passed so fast. "Dorms? Is that what you call home?" Jayori asks. "Oh Uh, no. It's just a building that has a lot of rooms and, well," The boy stumbled. He looked to find the mermaid tilt her head in confusion and adjust her hair a bit, "I'll tell you some other time. I have some free time Saturday." He tells her.
Jayori perked up at that, "Okay! Same time?" She asks. Deku agrees and runs off, Jayori diving into the sea. Both cannot waiting to see each other again.
Time Skip: 4 Months Later
"And I was able to stop Overhaul with Eri's help!" Deku finish telling his story. For the past few months Deku has been visiting Jayori and the two have gotten along amazingly. Jayori loved listening to his stories about his journey to become a pro hero and Deku loves learning more about her.
One day the mermaid gave him a beautiful green and purple shell. And in return, Deku gave her a top she could wear, (he honestly got it because he was so close to a nosebleed every time he even looked at her chest). She loved it and it matched her blue eyes and shiny purple tail.
Jayori told about some of her adventures under the Great Blue and the green-eyed boy wrote it all in a new journal he gotten, (the boy has journals for heroes, he wants to stay organized).
"Wow. So not only did you save her from that man, but also gave her a chance of using her quirk for the greater good. If that isn't heroic, I don't know what is Izuku." She says, sitting next to Deku. The boy blushed a bit and smile, "Yeah. Seeing her smile and be happy is one of the things I strive for to being a hero." He tells her.
Jayori couldn't help but admire the boy next to her. He is sweet, honest, and the cutest thing she has ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was also the first friend she has ever made. Every moment they spend together she has felt safe. But then a thought occurred to her, "Do you want to swim next time?" She asked.
Deku looks at her and thinks, "Wait, you mean like in the water?" He asks. Jayori giggles, "Yes. Unless you're not comfortable." She tells him. Deku waves his arms, face flustered, "Oh! No no, not at all. It's just-, you swim all the time. So why do you want to swim with me Jayori?" He asks. The mermaid shrugs, "I thought swimming with a mermaid would be fun." She humors him, adjusting her top.
Deku thinks about it, "It has been awhile since I have swim and this could be a chance to see her in her element." He thinks. "Okay! How about Saturday morning?" He asks. Jayori nods, "Sounds good." She kisses his cheek and gets into the water, "Bye Izu! See you then." She dives into the water.
The greenette froze, processing what had happened. He lifted a hand to his cheek, "Sh-sh-she k-k-kiss m-m-m-me." He stutters. His heart was pounding and he felt like he was going to faint. "She kissed me, but it was on the cheek. Could this mean she likes me? But what is there to like about me because she is a beautiful girl and I'm just a bumbling mess and-AUGH!!" He screams and cover his face.
"Wait! She's going to see me shirtless. And I should probably get a new swimsuit the one I have is kinda old." Deku gathers his stuff and walks home, muttering to himself about his swimming with a real mermaid.
Time Skip: Saturday Morning
Jayori was waiting for Deku. She was honestly excited, since humans don't have tails, (well except for a few with their quirks; albeit dog tails, cat tails, and any other type of tails). She was also interested in seeing how humans can swim and from what she learned from Deku is that his quirk is mostly strength based which means he had to learn how to swim at some point.
She looks around until her eyes land on who she has been waiting for. "Izuku!" She exclaims excitedly, and waves him over. He waves back and smiles, that smile, "Good God, I could go blind from how much of an angel he is and the brightness he gives off." She thinks to herself.
"Hey there. I hope I didn't keep you waiting." He says. Jayori shakes her head no, "Of course not. You're right on time." She tells him. He had a bag with with him, mostly likely supplies, and he was wearing a white T-shirt and green swimming trunks with black lining. He sets his bag on the ground and removes his shirt.
Once it was off he leaned down to his bag and opened it to put his shirt in there. All the while Jayori looked at him with some red on her face, "Wow. I mean he exercises a lot and, damn those scars." She mutters to herself, playing with her long hair. "Uh, are you okay Jayori?" The mermaid looks up to find Deku with a concern look.
She waves him off, "I-I'm fine! You just have a really nice body." She compliments him. The boy's face flushes bright red and adverts his gaze, "Uh, Th-thanks. I t-train a l-lot." He rubs the back of his neck.
Jayori giggles and goes further out into the deep, "Well come on! We don't want to waste time do we?" She playfully splashes him with her tail. Deku jumps as the water makes contact with his back. "Ah! Okay, okay. I'm coming!" He then follows her into the ocean and although cold at first, he pushes that aside and focuses on the girl before him.
Once he reaches her the water reached his chest. For a moment the two look into each other's eyes, green orbs looking into blue ones. "So," Jayori starts and Deku snaps out of the trance, "Want to have a little race?" She asks with a challenging tone in her smooth voice. Deku smirks, "You bet!" He agrees.
It wasn't much of a challenge because one had a strong fish tail that gave a huge advantage, but Deku was a strong swimmer. The two spent hours playing, Jayori even conjured an air bubble so that the Deku could go underwater and see some of the sea life. His eyes were wide with curiosity and had the biggest smile Jayori has ever seen. When they resurfaced they laid on the shore the water splashing on their legs or tail.
Deku looks over at the mermaid and glances down at her sparkling tail then looks back up at her face. He has been having this feeling in his chest ever since he meant Jayori. He lifts a hand and brushes it against the mermaid's wet hair. Jayori looks over at him with a hint of surprise in her eyes. He realized what did and pulls his back and blushes.
"Sorry! It's just that I-" But before he could finish a giggle was let out by Jayori. She looked over to find him with a confused but still red face, "*Ahem*. Sorry Izu. It just felt nice and, Uh?" She pauses. "What is it?" Deku asks. She blushes, and this is an uncommon sight for the boy, (he does most of the blushing and hers are usually less noticeable but still there).
Jayori was quiet for a bit and Deku was about to say something until a pair of lips were placed on his. It was soft and slow and Deku, despite his heart beating a million times a second, close his eyes and kiss back. The mermaid puts a hand behind his head and the boy places a hand on her waist, (right where the skin meets scales).
After a few more moments they pulled away from each other for air. They looked away from each other with smiles on their faces, Deku with a wobbly and awkward one while Jayori's was small and timid. "I-Uh, sorry." The female apologizes. Deku looks over at her and sits up, "Oh No No No! I liked it. And I have been having these feelings for you and I don't know if you feel the same, but you kissed me so that means you must sorta-" He was rambling and Jayori kissed him again, this time it lasted a little longer and she pulled away to find Deku speechless.
She giggles and straightens herself, "I do like you. And if it's okay will you be my boyfriend?" She looked at him nervously, waiting for his reaction. Deku snapped out and took a few deep breathes. Once he calmed down he looked at her and gently grasped her hands with his scarred ones. "I do like you. A lot even! And I would love to be your boyfriend. But what about us?" Jayori's eyes widen. She realized that with her being a mermaid and Deku being a human it would be complicated.
But before she could say something, her tail shines brightly and the two shield their eyes. When the light died down they looked and saw that the fish tail has been replaced with human legs. They were long and slightly muscular, (her thighs were thicc ;) and she had on purple short-shorts so she's not bare). Deku was stumped but when he looked over at Jayori she was shocked and fascinated.
She slowly put a hand on her right leg and a smile slowly appears on her face. "Izuku! I have legs!" She kicked her legs in the air, utterly happy. Deku was still trying to understand what has happened. "Um, h-has this ha-happened before Jayori?" He asks her slowly. Jayori stopped and sat up again, "No. but isn't this great?! We can do stuff that can be anywhere else!" She had the biggest smile on her face. Deku smiled, but then had a thought.
He got up and stand then lend her his hand, "Well if this is your first time, I can give you a lesson on walking." He says. Jayori nods and grabs his hand, but Deku misjudged his strength and accidentally pulled her into his chest. This surprised the both of them and caused Deku to fall on his back with Jayori
on top of him.
The two took a moment to recover and realized the situation they were in. Deku blushed and apologized but Jayori chuckles and combs a hand through his hair. "Let's take our time okay? I'm not in any hurry." She smiles sweetly at him and the freckled boy smiles back.
Deku has heard that the ocean was filled with mystery and Jayori heard that humans were dangerous. But the two were lucky to have found each other all those years ago.
"Are you ever gonna get tired of touching my legs Jayori?" Deku asks his wife. Jayori sticks her tongue out at him, "Nope. And it's your fault for having such sexy ones at that. Izuku." She teases him. Deku smirks touches her thigh and squeezes it. Jayori let's out a squeak and looks at her husband to find a smirk on his face. "Oh so that is how it's going to be?" She gets off of him and positions herself on the other side of the bed.
Deku realizes what she's going to do, "Ah, wait Jayori! We just fixed the sheets!" He tries to reason with her. But the fire in her eyes were not going down, "Too late." And before the poor man could escape the female pounces on him and kisses his face all over. Deku tried to get her off, but Jayori knew he loves it. "My Hero." She tells him. "My Pearl." He replies and the two embrace and share a passionate kiss.
