Death's Fury (Angst/Dark?)
Death (Grim Reaper) Deku + Quirkless AU
Many believe that Death is a foul and unfair being who enjoys taking any life away from the living, regardless if it is their time or not.
Many believe that Death is a horrible and ugly creature who can steal lives away whenever someone gazes upon him.
Many believe that Death is a selfish entity who takes joy in watching his victims beg for their lives before he mercilessly kills them.
However, what many don't know is that these myths and rumors about him are only what some want to see of him, are only what they happen to see before they understand the full picture.
Many also don't know that Death lives among people every day of his cursed life.

That's when you stumble upon them in an alleyway.
"P-please, don't k-kill me!" a man trembled on the dirty floor of an alleyway, shakily trying to scoot himself back from the one who was currently approaching him. There was fresh blood on the man's shirt and on the discarded knife that sat on the ground next to another person who too was trembling but for a different reason. Their body was much smaller than the man's, a little kid, still with a backpack on them as if they had just gotten off from school. And that's probably what was happening before this.
"How dare you beg for mercy? How dare you tremble in fear for your life after what you've done? Do you not have any remorse for what you've just done, for some measly pocket change?"
The figure who approached the trembling man was not quite as tall as he was, but the aura around him was completely different, it felt otherworldly. His green curls upon his hair bounced with each step he took towards the cowering man, his emerald-green eyes glowed with grief and sadness that reflected in his voice as he questioned the man.
"M-my l-life is more important! I-I'm just trying to survive!" the man tried to reason with the shorter male who approached him, but the more he spoke, the more the shorter male began to shift. "That k-kid was just a few years old! It doesn't matter, his parents could always just make another kid!" and finally, something drastic changed in the greenette.
"And here I thought, you were someone willing to be spared," the greenette's shadow cast over the man in a choking and sinister manner, his aura changing completely as his gentle frown turned into a deep scowl. His soft emerald-green eyes turned into noxious pools of boiling acid, ready and almost too eager to burn anything he set his sight upon.
"People like you don't deserve your life, not after what you've done," and with that, the greenette seemed to manifest a huge scythe out of thin air and right before the man cowering beneath him could scream, he gave a swift swing and ended the man's life, taking his soul from his body which would unfortunately show physical evidence of his scythe slash mark across his chest, but he could care less about that. Not when he had bigger matters at hand.
With the man dead and his soul dealt with, the green haired male turned back to the little boy, his scythe disappearing before he approached the child. He frowned deeply as he knelt down to the kid, moving the bloodied knife away from its victim before he gently caressed the young boy whose breathing was slowing quickly, blood staining his t-shirt and dark blue shorts.
"It's okay, you won't be in pain anymore. Just relax and close your eyes, like going to sleep," his voice was gentle and soft, and the boy complied and closed his eyes, remaining like this until his breath stilled and he went limp.
The greenette carefully pressed his forehead to the little boy's as he passed on, unable to do anything but at least quicken the process so the boy wouldn't be in so much pain. Standing back up, he held the little boy's soul in the palm of his heavily scarred hands, whispering to it softly before he raised his hands up and let the soul drift upwards where the boy belonged in the afterlife.
Then, the green haired male finally turned his attention to you, already knowing you were there watching but he didn't seem to care. He had a saddened look on his soft and rather innocent-looking face.
Many didn't know that Death looked like an angel.
Many didn't know that Death always questioned those he was to kill before he does so.
But most importantly, many didn't know that Death actually cared about life and had a heart that was unfortunately cursed and shrouded in the many shadows of rumors and myths.
