Ray's POV

"This makes so much more sense." I say to Peter as we run.

"No kidding. He targeted the people who have the most influence. He wants you to be the villain, he wants to make you a villain." Peter says to me shocked.

"Seriously?" Combustion asks shocked by that.

We get to the school and I race up the mountain into the school.

I find Matthew talking shit about me to a teacher, and I drench him with water from my quirk, and then I pin him to the wall.

I see the teacher wake up from a trance. "Ray, oh my god, I'm sorry." The teacher says to me shocked.

I glare at Matthew. "I figured you out, asshole." I say to him. "You've got a very subtle mind control quirk, and that's why nobody fucking believes me." I say to Matthew who smirks at me.

"How are you gonna beat that?" Matthew asks me.

I smirk at him. "I have a quirk erasing quirk, dickwad, it's also subtle, let's go." I say as I use my quirk to detain this asshole.

Other teachers get here.

"Ray, what's going on?" Mic asks me worried.

"Yeah, we've been under some sort of spell thing, thinking you were out of control." Midnight says to me.

"This asshole has a mind controlling quirk, he's been influencing everyone that I'm in the wrong, and trying to get me to be the bad guy. I was at the Endeavor Agency after putting out a city fire at Kurashiki with Peter, Combustion can vouch for that, but that's when I realized what quirk he had." I say to Midnight and Mic.

"We're so sorry Ray." Mic says to me worried.

"Ray?" My class asks as they come out of the classroom to see me detaining this asshole, Aizawa coming out too, and I see guilt in his eyes.

We get Matthew detained and he's forced to reveal his plan via Shinso using his quirk.

"I wanted Ray out, cause I wanted to be in the hero course at the biggest school, Ray was the obvious person to get kicked out because of her attitude and violent history, it was perfect. I was counting in her being smart though." Matthew says annoyed as he glares at me.

Shinso and Peter look pissed off.

"Listen you little shit, nobody fucks with Cascade except for me." Combustion says to Matthew. "Cascade is gonna be a damn fine hero and you aren't getting her way." Combustion continues and I want to cry at that.

"That is the sweetest thing you've ever said about me." I say to Combustion.

"Don't get used to it." Combustion says to me.

The door opens and in comes cold air, causing me to shiver.

"Oh right, here." Peter says as he hands me the jacket Endeavor and Inferno gave me.

I switch jackets and it's nice and warm, which is great cause I'm cold.

Nora just doesn't look too happy about the situation.

My stomach threatens to grumble. "I'll be back, unless you guys want to handle the rest of this." I say to Nezu.

"Come back, we'll need you here." Nezu says to me and I nod.

I head to my dorm house with Combustion.

My class is sitting around, waiting for news.

"What's going on Ray?" Ida asks me.

"We'll have a meeting later, you guys, the teachers, and me, we'll explain what's going on. For now, I haven't eaten today, so I came back to get something to eat as I head back." I say to Ida who nods.

"Is that my Father's agency coat?" Shoto asks me.

"It's getting to be winter and Inferno was concerned about Cascade being cold during agency meetings since she has a water quirk while as the rest of us have fire quirks." Combustion explains to Shoto.

"It's heat insulated, I'm using this coat from now on." I say as I walk to the kitchen, my boyfriend following me.

I hug Katsu who holds me tightly. I get something to eat after a minute and I leave the kitchen to see Combustion asking questions about me, so I stay back and listen.

"When is Cascade's birthday?" Combustion asks.

"July 13th." Izu says to combustion.

"She's a Cancer. That explains the hard shell she portrays, and why she's actually super nice." Combustion says surprised.

"Yeah, Ray is the best, she's always looking out for us and making sure we're ok." Mina says with a grin.

"Yeah, she's been making to be a good hero so far, we saved a city earlier thanks to her, she's great with rescue." Combustion says with a proud smirk.

I smile slightly and Katsu smirks.

"Ray did what?" Izu asks surprised.

"Cascade has a good control of her quirk, she managed to douse a large part of the city in a Tsunami without destroying it and with no casualties. She was able to effectively use our team to save people from buildings about to collapse from fire damage and she kept the citizens calm the entire time as we got them evacuated." Combustion says to the group.

I eat quietly as I watch Combustion brag about me.

"I noticed Cascade usually gets really cold, really quick, why is that? I know it's because of her quirk, but even normal water quirk users don't get that cold, that fast." Combustion asks.

"Unlike normal people, Ray's quirk and her body constitution is made 86 percent of water, while as a normal person, their body is made up of 60 percent of water." Izu explains and Combustion nods.

"So it really is a good thing I got her that coat." Combustion says as he scratches his cheek. "Cascade is like, this spunky little sister I never had, it's great, I've never had a kid sister, and I love having her around, the Agency loves her, she's like super protective of everyone too." Combustion says to my classmates.

"Ray is awesome." My classmates agree.

I just about start crying.

I go get Missy and then I take Combustion back to the room where Matthew is.

"Your an asshole, I hope you know that." I say to Matthew.

Matthew smirks at me. "And your a bitch." Matthew says to me.

In comes Endeavor and everyone is surprised.

Endeavor looks down at Matthew as he stands behind me.

"She's got the Number 1 hero on her side?" Matthew asks shocked.

Endeavor pats my head. "Ray is my protege." Endeavor says to Matthew.

I watch what happens and Matthew is forced to transfer to a normal highschool with no chance of becoming a hero.

After all is said and done, I leave the building with Missy.

"Ray." Dad says to me.

I look at him for a moment before I promptly ignore him.

I take Missy for a walk since she needs one now.

Missy jumps around me as I play with her in my dorm house court yard.

I laugh as I play tug of war with Missy with a rope toy Katsu brought out for us.

"She is a ray of sunshine, and that's why her name is Ray." 

Missy tackles me and licks my face, causing me to laugh as I try to hold her back.

"Need help?" Katsu asks amused as he stands over us.

Missy flops next to me and rolls in the grass as I get a breather. "Oh my god, I love dogs." I say as I look at Katsu who grins at that.

I get up and Missy gets to her feet instantly.

"Ok, I need to shower." I say as I stretch and Katsu smirks and he grabs my waist and pulls me to him. "Hi honey." I say to Katsu with a smile.

Katsu smiles as he holds me in place. "Hi baby." Katsu says to me, that makes me smile a bit brighter.

"Cringe!" Combustion calls and I flip him off as I kiss Katsu.

Peter laughs as Combustion huffs.

I go take a shower and then the teachers join me and my class in the common area.

I lay upside down on a chair as I pet Missy while the teachers explain what happened with the whole Matthew situation.

Everyone looks at me in shock.

"That was stressful and I want to see my therapist!" I whine as I slide onto the floor, i look at the time. "Ugghh, 3 more hours." I whine and Katsu looks at me amused. "I hated that whole situation and I didn't ask for the unnecessary stress." I say as I stare at the ceiling.

"She's acting as if that wasn't that bad, Ray, you could have been kicked out of school." Momo says to me.

"But I wasn't." I say as I scratch Missy behind her ears. "I was fighting for myself, I was gonna figure out a way to get through what was going on, and I did, and things are ok now." I say and Combustion watches me.

"Ray, I'll need to speak with you after this." Dad says to me.

"Good fucking luck." I say to Dad and everyone looks between us as Dad sighs.

"But if the mind control was lifted, shouldn't things be ok now?" Mina asks me worried.

I snort. "I'm still very much upset about how I was treated." I say as I sit up. "But I can't do anything about it, so I'm not gonna vocalize it right now." I say as Missy lays across my lap.

"And that's probably for the best." Nezu says as he pops in. "I was the only adult untouched by the mind control, and I know Ray, she always gives the full truth so she doesn't ruin somebody elses reputation. Ray's reputation here at the school got considerably worse here over the past couple of days because the full truth was never fully displayed." Nezu says as he sits down. "You aren't expected to fully forgive anyone for how you were treated Ray, but we do expect some leniency because of the mind control." Nezu says to me.

"That's fair." I say to Nezu as Missy sits up so I can cross my legs. "It this was under any other circumstance though, I probably would have quit earlier this morning, it was basically pointless to argue." I say to Nezu. "And I expect the teachers to be more careful about who they allow into the courses from now on. Because if I have to think of every situation caused by my actions, the teachers should be thinking that way too, to prevent any more situations like this." I say to Nezu who nods.

"And that's understandable too Ray, see it isn't hard talking about how things should be done, and if we can execute them from now on, then things will have a much more smooth sailing." Nezu says to me.

"We don't want you to quit!" Mina and Hagakure cry as they tackle me.

I don't really move from my sitting position as I listen to Nezu talk about what's going to be done to prevent this happening again and without me as the target.

"Ray always gets targeted for this stuff." Momo comments and Denki nods.

"Ray is the easiest target here. Out of all of the students in this class, she's got the most field experience, her life isn't private at all, so it's easy for people to slide in and try to manipulate her situation." Nezu comments.

I hang my head at that. "Well it sucks for whoever tries, I don't just roll over and take my positions being threatened." I say and Katsu smirks. "Ask him about how painful I can be." I say as I motion to Katsu.

"Your not that strong anymore." Katsu says as he pulls me into his arms.

"Take that back." I pout and Katsu smirks.

"Nope." Katsu says to me as he traps me in place.

"That is so rude." I say to Katsu with a huff.

"Your stronger." Katsu replies and that takes a moment to process, I'm bad with compliments.

"Fuck you." I say as Missy senses my flustered feeling, she sits in front of me and blocks everybody's view of my face.

"Oh that's cringe!" I yell as I hide my face in Missy's fur, causing my boyfriend to laugh.

"That was actually sweet." Combustion says to me.

I sit up and I stare at Combustion through squinted eyes. "You just saying that to contradict me, cause your ass like that." I say to Combustion and he smirks.

"You know me too well and that's uncomfortable." Combustion says to me.

I stick my tongue out at him. "Good. Keeps you on your toes around me." I say to Combustion who sticks his tongue out, back at me. I squint my eyes to stare at him.

"These two." Inferno says with a nervous sigh.

Katsu pulls me back into his arms and forces me to stay put as I bicker with Combustion.

"Stop it." Endeavor says to us with a sigh.

I huff but I lay off and so does Combustion.

"Spoiled brat." Combustion mutters about me.

I struggle in Katsu's lap to get Combustion for that comment, but Katsu doesn't let me go. "Dickwad! Just you wait till I get let go!" I say to Combustion annoyed.

Katsu's grip loosens at my struggling, and I break free. Combustion screams as I race towards him, he runs and I chase his ass down while my class laughs.

I jump on Combustions shoulders and I wrestle with him. "Get off!" Combustion yells at me.

"Make me, asshole." I say to Combustion as I pull on his cheeks while sitting on his shoulders.

Combustion starts moving around and I get unsteady very quick, so I tighten my grip on him as we scowl at each other.

Endeavor picks both of us up and forces us apart. "I said quit it." Endeavor says to us annoyed.

"Yeah Cascade, quit it." Combustion says to me in a mocking tone.

I mock Combustion out of spite and he mocks me and it goes back and forth while Endeavor sighs, annoyed and exasperated.

"They're just like brother and sister." Inferno says nervous.

"Quit it!" Endeavor yells at us. "Combustion, that corner! Cascade, that corner!" Endeavor yells as he points to two opposite sides of the room.

"Your not my dad." I say to Endeavor as I cross my arms over my chest.

"I am your boss." Endeavor says to me annoyed.

I look at Endeavor annoyed.

"Just go." Inferno says to me and Combustion nervously.

Inferno pushes me and I grumble as she pushes me the entire way there.

I stand in the corner, very annoyed, Combustion gets forced into the other corner and he looks annoyed.

I go look at Combustion and we mock each other.

"Turn back around, noses to the corner." Endeavor says to us annoyed.
