The Next Day - Ray's POV

"EVERYONE! MORNING CLASSES ARE ABOUT TO START! TAKE YOUR SEATS!" Ida yells rushing into class with me just walking casually in the class.

"Everyone is in their seats except you and Ray. Oh wait, now Ray is sitting down, its just you."

I put my head in my arms as Ida sulks in his seat.

Aizawa walks in with crutches and bandages on his face.

"Sensei, did you get permission to leave your bed in the nurses office?" I ask him.

"Yes." He answers as he walks to his desk, of you can call that walking.

"Glad your doing well Aizawa-Sensei!" Ida says to him.

"If you can call that doing well." Ochako says with a sweat drop.

"My welfare isn't important, because your fight isn't over." Aizawa says and I raise an eyebrow.

"Our fight?" Katsuki asks confused.

"Does that mean?" Izu asks suddenly getting worried.

"More villains?" Grape head says freaking out.

"The U.A's sports festival is fast approaching." Aizawa says to us in a bored tone and I raise my head.

"That's so totally ordinary!" Half the class yells.

"Come on, we just had that villain attack, are you sure about this?"

"Its necessary to demonstrate that U.A.'s crisis management protocols are sound." Aizawa says to us and I lean my head on my fist. "That's the thinking apparently. Compared to past years, there'll be five times the police presence. Anyhow, our sports festival is the greatest opportunity you'll get. Its not an event you can cancel over a few villains." Aizawa says to us.

"Are you sure about that?" Grape head asks worried.

"Mineta, are you telling me that you've never seen U.A.'s sports festival?" Izu asks him shocked.

"Of course I have. That's not what I mean." Grape head says really worried.

"Our sports festival is one of Japan's biggest events. The Olympics were once the worlds sports festival. The whole country would be whipped into a frenzy over them. But as you know, that tradition has shrunk into a scale of its former self. As far as Japan's concerned, what's taken place of the Olympics is, the U.A. Sports Festival." Aizawa says to us in a serious manner.

"The nations top hero's will be watching, right? They'll be there as scouts." Momo says to us.

"They'll be looking to hire us as sidekicks after we graduate. That's how its done." Denki says to us.

I roll my eyes.

"Naturally you'll gain valuable experience and popularity if your picked up by a big name hero. But your time is limited. Show the pro's what your made of here and you'll make futures for yourselves. This happens once a year, so you've got three chances. If your hoping to become a hero, this is an event you cannot miss." Aizawa says to us and I put my head back in my arms.

"I don't want to be a sidekick." I mutter and Aizawa rolls his eyes at my childish behavior.

"Homeroom dismissed." Aizawa says to us and leaves.

"For a moment you looked excited until the sidekick crap started." Katsuki says to me with a smirk.

I roll my eyes in annoyance. "What's excitement? Nothing is really all that exciting here." I say to him and he rolls his eyes at me as I walk to the door with him behind me.

The two of us head to the lunch room as we look at the news on my phone.

"This sports festival is gonna be a pain isn't it?" I ask and he shrugs.

"It'll be a good chance for us to fight." Katsuki says to me and I nod.

"That's true." I say to him.

"Are those two getting along?" Kirishima asks shocked.

Katsuki glares at him while I shrug.

"Whatever." I say and I sit down at a table, not really bothered to eat.

At the end of school.

Ochako opens the door to class to get out as I stretch across the table.

"Woah, what's going on?" She asks nervously and I look over to see a lot of student in front of the door.

"No way out, what are they here for?" Grape head asks worried.

"Scouting out the competition, small fry." Katsuki says to him.

I roll my eyes at him. "Katsuki, would you calm down with the nicknames, hey Grape Head, ignore him." I say and Izu sweat drops.

"His name is Mineta." Izu says to me.

I stand in front of the class looking at the students blocking the path out the door. "What is going on and why?" I ask.

"They're here because we're the kids who survived the villain attack." Katsuki says to me.

"That makes sense, of course they'd want a sneak peek of what they'll have to deal with." I say to Katsuki who nods.

"Well no point, move aside, cannon fodder." Katsuki says to them annoyed.

"Can we please not resort to calling people we don't know, cannon fodder." Ida asks him.

I look over to see Izu is nervous and I tch. "Katsuki, calm your ass down or I'll tell Mrs. Mitsuki that your calling people we don't know, names." I say to Katsuki and he rolls his eyes.

"Like your would." Katsuki says to me and I smirk.

"Try me. I have her on speed dial." I say and his eyes widen ever so slightly before he tchs in annoyance and shuts up and I smile. "Good Katsuki." I say and the entire class looks at me shocked.

"She got him under control." Momo says shocked.

"Its true, we did come to take a look, and this one sure is modest, I wonder, are all the kids in the hero class like him?" A boy with wild purple hair, fairly tall and looks like he hasn't slept in a long time, asks us.

"Huh?" Katsuki asks annoyed.

"Katsuki." I say to him and he grumbles and I walk forward to meet the guy. "Fuck off." I say holding up my middle fingers to them and Izu sweat drops.

"This was bound to happen sooner or later." Izu says with a sweat drop and the others nod.

"I gotta say, I'm a little disillusioned if this is what your offering. Those who didn't make the hero course were stuck in general studies or other courses. There are quite a few of us, did you know that?" He asks us and I blink.

"Ray, don't drown them." Izu says to me nervously and I nod.

"Fine. I won't drown them." I say and he breaths a sigh of relief. "But I will report them if they don't get the hell out for the way, they're being inconsiderate of us who have to head home. I have to go to the store and get stuff for dinner, but if they don't fucking move, I'll be pissed." I say and the purple guy smirks at me.

"So scary." He mocks and Katsuki's eye twitches and I hold my hand up to stop Katsuki from doing anything.

"Not yet Katsuki, I know how to handle this situation." I say and I grab the guys arm and I flip him into the ground harshly.

"She just couldn't solve this without violence, could she?" Ida asks with a sweat drop.

I grab my bag and head out of class as if I just did the most normal thing in the world.

"She's scary, that was brute force too." A student mutters.

I turn around and smile at them. "Izu, you coming or staying?" I ask him.

"I have to do something here." Izu says to me and I nod.

"Alright, see you later." I say and I head out of the building.

I put my headphones on and I start my music and I head home.

I change and head back out to the grocery store.

"Hey, girl." Purple guy form earlier says to me.

My eyes flicker to him for a moment before they go back to the rice I was looking at. "What do you want?" I ask him as I get a bag of rice off the shelf and I continue walking.

"Earlier, that flip you did to me." He says following me.

"If you want me to say sorry then forget it. I don't like people who get cocky and ignore me. Your lucky my brother told me not to drown you and your friends." I say to him in a calm tone and I get eggs and a few other things with him following me.

"Ah Ray, come to grocery shop for your mother again?" The counter woman asks me.

"Yes, she's busy today so doing a few things around the house are mandatory, thankfully Izu will be helping me later after he gets home from whatever else he had to do." I say to her as she scans the food.

"Who is the young man behind you?" The woman asks me and I shrug.

"He pissed me off earlier but Izu said not to drown him so I didn't." I say to her and she nods.

"How is your brother?" She asks me.

"He's getting more confident now that he's in the hero course with me, he's made a few friends too, as you can imagine, I'm very proud of him." I say to her with a smile.

"Of course you would be proud, you've always looked out for him, what about that Katsuki kid? How is he doing?" She asks me.

"He's still a ball of rage that I feel like could detonate at anytime, but he's doing better with his anger, though we still fight sometimes." I say to her and she giggles.

"Is it still over Izuku? Or is it lovers quarrels?" She asks me and a light blush dusts my cheeks.

"We aren't in love and it hasn't been over Izu all that much anymore, its mostly him pissing me off and I kick him down the stairs or I drown him." I say and shrug and I pay my due amount.

"Well, have a nice day Ray, tell your mother Inko I said hello." She says yo me.

"I will Mrs. Ri." I say to her with a smile.

I grab my bags and my drink that I bought and I walk out the door.

Purple guy follows me while staring at me.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." I say to him with a roll of my eyes.

I see him get punched by Katsuki and Katsuki walk next to me irritated.

"Thanks." I say to him with a smile.

He rolls his eyes with a small blush on his cheeks. "Stop getting into trouble." He says to me and I roll my eyes and I pout.

"I wasn't in trouble, you know I could have taken him if he decided to attack me." I say to Katsuki who smirks.

"I know, but you don't know what his quirk is, it might be something that has an advantage over yours." Katsuki says to me and I puff my cheek out in a pout.

"Whatever." I mutter and we see Mitsuki and he grabs my hand and I blush slightly as she walks over to us.

"Katsuki, why aren't you carrying her bags for her?" Mitsuki asks him and I smile.

"I can handle them Mrs. Mitsuki, don't worry about it." I say to her and she rolls her eyes.

"Katsuki can carry them for you." Mitsuki says to me as she hands my bags to him and he sighs. "So, where are you two heading?" Mitsuki asks us.

"I was just grocery shopping for Mom, I have to make dinner tonight since she's busy and won't be able to." I say to her and she nods.

"That's very nice of you Ray, Katsuki why don't you go have dinner at her place?" Mitsuki asks him and she hums. "Alright, Katsuki is gonna have dinner with you tonight Ray." Mitsuki says to me with a smile and continues on with her day.

My jaw nearly gapes open but Katsuki keeps it up. "She can be impossible." I say and Katsuki nods and we continue to my place.

"Ray." Izu greets me as we walk in. "And Kacchan?" He asks shocked.

"You remember what I told you yesterday? Well Mrs. Mitsuki is making him have dinner with us tonight." I say to him and he oh's.

"Its not by choice." Katsuki says to him as he rolls his eyes.

I head into the kitchen and I make dinner which takes a little while and once I'm done I set it out and we eat and then me, Izu and Katsuki sit in the living room with me laying on Izu's lap as he pets my head.

"Your so weird." Katsuki says to me and I pout.

"Now, now Kacchan, you try, make sure to hold your hand in front of her nose so she can sniff you and if she nods you can try and pet her." Izu says to him with a smile.

Katsuki grumbles.

"Just think of it as practice when Ray is over at your place and she's pouting, this cheers her up, she's like a puppy." Izu says to him with a smile.

Katsuki gets a doubtful look but he holds his hand in front of my nose and I sniff it before nodding and laying my head down again. Katsuki follows Izu's instructions on how to pet my head and he switches places with Izu and starts petting my head and I tap my foot lightly on the couch next to me as I lay on his lap content.

"She's letting you pet her." Izu says to him with a smile.

"Yeah." Katsuki says to him and after a while I fall asleep.

Katsuki's POV

"She fell asleep." I say and Deku nods.

"That happens." Deku says to me with a smile and I look at her for a minute. "Do you like Ray?" Deku asks me and I tch.

"No way, she's rude and annoying and she's drowned me on multiple occasions." I say to him in annoyance.

"She was protecting me, her brother when she was drowning you. She would probably drown other people to protect you too." Deku says to me and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah right." I say and he smiles as she stretches more across my lap.

"Yet she let you pet her? She doesn't just let anyone pet her you know." Deku says to me.

"I should be going home." I mutter annoyed.

"No, stay the night Kacchan." Deku says to me and I roll my eyes and I go to object but Ray turns around and I look at her peaceful face.

I tch in annoyance. "I have no say in the matter, do I?" I ask him annoyed and he shakes his head with a smile.

I end up taking Ray to her room bridal style with her head on my chest and I lay her on her bed and I lay down next to her. She curls up next to me and I watch her for a while before I accept the fact that she's not gonna wake up until tomorrow and I fall asleep while holding her close to me with my arm around her shoulders.
