Miles point of view

Izuku called me when I was at school he said that there was something big going down in the Multiverse and he needed my help so I excuse myself from class went over to the the bathroom and teleport into the den. It's there where I met a clone of twice who made a clone of me to replace me while I was here

having twice here makes things a lot easier. I can send a clone in to fill-in for classes. I would be missing sure I don't maintain the knowledge of the clone gives me, but the clone tells me everything that happened in the lesson so I don't miss out on too much and as an added bonus I don't get complained at by my parents from missing lessons... Though my grades could do with some improving apparently

but I can worry about that later I quickly get changed into my costume as I arrive in the den. It's gone pretty packed around here so much so that we're having to renovate the base

ever since the last pack adventure we've had a bunch of knights added to our group. We've even managed to start thinking about building other bases and other dimensions were expanding. That's good. And yet it still feels concerning the Robin King nearly assassinated are you almost caused a kingdom to be destroyed

There's no telling how much the swarms horses have grown. They could be growing right now and we don't know but for now we need to focus on stopping the Multiverse from falling apart

because it was so packed here, I used my webbing to swing across to get to the meeting room when I got in there, it was less packed and I thought there was only izuku, the Deku of 2499, eve, the original twice and Spider Noir

they were all sitting around the table while somewhere twice was spinning in his chair being his usual goofy self

Izuku: Miles, thank you for coming. Sorry to call you while you were at school.

I shrug as I take a seat : no problem it clones filling in for me besides the fate of the Multiverse is more important than algebra so what's up?

Deku of the future stood up and pressed a couple of buttons on his suit which then displayed a picture of Brightburn and some other girl and would look to be a city

2499: Brightburn and some other unknown child was spotted in another dimension... We were able to get this picture from a security camera before they both vanished

Eve: right so the unstable kid with superpowers is loose. Do you think he's finally gotten on board of listening to his sensei?

twice stopped spinning around on his chair: now that's totally bogus take it from someone who worked for the guy if someone betrayed him he would kill them. He would just let it pass no matter who they are... Besides who the heck the girl that's with him

That's actually a good question. The girl didn't seem like a hostage. Also why did they let themselves get seen anyway Brightburn can move so fast you can't even see him until it's too late so why would he let himself be caught on camera

Izuku: we don't know who the girl is. We're currently running facial recognition through every database that we have access to but so far nothing the point is Brightburn and this unknown girl arrived in this world presumably by themselves and then something strange happened another disturbance in the Multiverse but this time it was different

another disturbance: wait another disturbance like another anomaly

2499: that part we're not sure of the energy was different but it was definitely Multiverse travel type of energy but it was different than the collider when the collide tried to get into the Multiverse. It was like a hammer smashing into glass this was more surgical like a glass cutter still it's concerning

spider noir: so what are we doing? We going after the kid or finding out what made that disturbance?

Izuku: both whatever this is it could be a trap, but we have to take that chance Brightburn is too dangerous to be left in the hands of all for one if we catch him will be that much closer to putting it into this

I agree with him on that: I agree let's get everyone ready

Eve: sorry Miles, but it looks like we're all that's coming. Am I right?

Izuku nod: unfortunately yes, loona and the Hellhounds are helping rebuild. The kingdom. Stitch is currently helping out Juba with a new experiment and he's asked O.G for her help to the other clones of Gwen are busy with another anomaly and as for new recruits of knights there... Well they're terrible we're having to train them from scratch unfortunately we're the only ones that are free to do this

Right, so we're going in small not my first choice, but if it's your only option, we got no choice: all right when are we going?

Izuku: in roughly 5 minutes all right everyone get ready... Miles you stay here for a bit. I need to talk to you alone.

everyone else gets up from their chairs and leaves leaving me and Izuku alone, but he seems more sad than I would expect.

I get out from my chair and walk over to him: what's up?

Izuku: miles are we doing the right thing?

I look at him with a questionable glance: are you joking? Of course we're doing the right thing we're fighting a bunch of villains who want to take over the Multiverse we're saving the Multiverse from collapsing in on itself

Izuku: it's not exactly what I mean Miles I just... Are we going about this the right way?

I'm still confused: izuku what is this about? What's wrong?

he lets out a sigh as he spins around in his chair looking up at the ceiling: it's just well... I never expected my life to be like this I mean when I got my powers I thought I would save people with a smile on my face. I didn't expect that would be creating a Multiverse defence force... And it's concerning me how big we're getting

I'm confused again: isn't that what we want to stop all for one We need allies.

Izuku put his head down: I know that Miles it just... I'm worried about me about us all of us... and the power that we are getting Miles we have an army... Like an actual army and we go out every day and we find more evil in the Multiverse... What stopping us from deciding well this isn't gonna be how it's gonna go anymore and just taking over

I look at him and I begin to understand what he's talking about: izuku we would never do that

Izuku: but we already have what's happening on Pandora we're basically forcing people to obey our rules otherwise we'll retaliate. How is that? Not being oppressive?

Yeah, but that's different: those guys were going to kill the people of Pandora we are keeping the peace

Izuku: we are but at what cost... miles I just... I just don't know if this is the right way to do it the more power we get the more easier it will be to give into it seriously if we get more power and we decide that we don't like a way a world works what stopping us from just saying we're taking over for the greater good who could stop us? Seriously tell me who

I looked down trying to find an answer, but he's right we have all this power and suddenly now everything seems possible we could literally do whatever we wanted and no one could stop us

But still with great power comes great responsibility: OK I see your point but remember with great power comes great responsibility

Izuku: yes but with great power comes greater temptation... I just don't know how I'm gonna keep it together everything is just so complicated now he's never supposed to be like this I just don't know if I'm up for it

He's not concerned about the power he he's concerned about what he could do to him: hey look at me okay... I'm not gonna lie that you right it is tempting to just give in and and say what we're doing is for the greater good when we know somewhere deep down it's not but we don't cross that line we haven't yet what's happening on Pandora is just... How it has to be for now when things calm down we can figure out another way

Izuku: but how can I trust myself not to lose myself in the power?

I don't know, but I can't tell him that: look we can talk about this later. Let's go save the Multiverse first if you're still concerned about all this we should hold a big meeting to discuss everything.

Izuku nod: agreed come on let's go

okay, here's a new chapter sorry that it's relatively short. I'm still getting back into the swing of this fanfiction, but I hope you enjoy.

And I do love the fact that I'm now having izuku question his ability to lead the pack because of how much power they're gaining I think it would be good for him to start questioning that kind of thing
