Miles's point of view

After figuring out that the anomaly is what they call an infinity stone. Something great incredible power that's not supposed to be the dimension I was sent home only because I need to buy restaurant we were going to do the next day. Apparently the next part of the mission is me, and izuku Going to the pizza place and scouted out. Make sure there is no one living there or something later on we can go down to the basement of the area then we can dig it up and get infinity stone

Of course, we're only gonna going to be able to do that in the afternoon after I've done my regular patrols as Spider-Man, and even though I'm working with an interdimensional group I still Gotta keep up The friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, which actually isn't really much of an issue as a matter fact, because I'm not working at the pack. I've been getting help with my homework from 2499 apparently, my homework to him is light reading so I was able to get all my homework done in record time, giving perfect excuse for me to hang out with my "friends"

There is one slight problem with that, my parents: Miles, it's 3 o'clock and you want to go hang out with your friends that we've never met at a pizza place

Dad looks down at me, crossing his arms: dad, it's just hanging out with some friends we're going to have a bit of fun

Mum getting in the middle of this: what kind of fun hanging out with friends we don't know. Going to a party or a graffiti

I stop right there because I know where this is going : mum no trust me the people I'm hanging out with, don't do that kind of stuff... Well, maybe one of them used to but she is... She's going through a rough time right now she just lost her adopted father, and even though she doesn't manage it, she's taking it pretty hard and us hanging out together, will really help her trust me. She's in a pretty dark place right now and she needs help.

Mum looks at me suspiciously: what is this girls name and what happened?

Okay, obviously I have to lie about the majority of this : her name is loona and her stepfather was killed in a... Home invasion, she watched him die, please, it would really mean a lot to her. If we all went out together besides you always are on about me making new friends I've made new friends just in a...support group.

Dad: support group, why are you going to a support group... Miles, are you doing something you shouldn't be?

I waved my hands defensively: no, no... Although I can see why you think that look it's not a support group in the way that you think it's for people that are dealing with loss loona lost a stepfather to the Home invasion, Izuku watched a friend jump off a roof to commit suicide and he's dealing with his own demons as well Stephen strange is dealing with the loss of the love of his life and there are others too. Look it's just after losing Uncle Aaron and still attending the new school. I got stressed I needed to talk to someone about it and it was easier to talk to people, the majority that are my age, you can meet one of them if you want we're not gonna do anything bad we just like to talk and hang out and know that we have each other's backs

Mum and Dad look at each other, a little bit of guilt brushes across their face and across mine. I don't like lying to them, but I'm technically not lying all things considered. The pack is like a therapy group. It's just got people from across the Multiverse dealing with their own very different problems , and joining together to stop an evil madman from taking over the Multiverse

Dad: okay fine, you can join your friends with this therapy group, but I do want to meet some of them someday when they are comfortable with it, also I want you back before 8 o'clock if you're not back by then I'm going out looking for you understand

I nod: understood and I'll pass the message along just so you know they may not be comfortable meeting you so soon they're still dealing with a lot... Some more than others

Mum: we understand that, but we would like to meet them one day just promise me you'll be careful and don't stay out too late

I give them both a hug and thank them as I walk out the door. I breathe heavily that was not easy became Spider-Man. I've had to lie to my parents more and more, but this one probably takes the cake so far. I mean I'm going technically lying I'm going to hang out with a friend at a pizza place. Only differences it's in a band and we're going to get something that makes a nuclear bomb look like a road flare but it's for the greater good Izuku needs my help with this, and I want to spend some time with my friend, too

Izuku he is waiting for me in the hallway. We high-five and walk through a portal, and we're back where we left off in front of the pizza place called Freddy Fries bears. this place must've been popular in the 80s. But now it just seems relatively creepy. I mean who wants to see animatronics, just thinking about and give me the creeps

Izuku starts talking as we walk to the abandon place it's still light out but there shouldn't be anyone there: so what did exactly did you tell your parents to get you to come along on this?

I shrug: I told him the truth I told him I was hanging out with a friend at a pizza place. I just left out the fact it's abandoned and holds a stone of a minced power, technically not lying.

Izuku: smart... I should tell you we got word that all one has another earth again, and he's taking it over. Only this time, he decided to do something different

I brace myself for the worse the Demon King, what on God's name would have possibly done to those poor people: what horrible thing did he do?

Izuku gave the answer I was not expecting: he saved them

I look at him as if he was joking, but it's not the Demon king. The guy that almost tore apart, the Multiverse saved lives: he saved people that he was going to conquer

Izuku: technically, according to what breach is found out, the people are considering him to be a conqueror, more like a saviour... Him, and Brightburn arrived on a planet that was under attacked by two incredibly powerful alien conquerors, to which they destroyed, and took them to their base, where... I don't think any of us want to know, but the people just ate it up. They made him president of the world in less than an hour and yes, they just made up that title for him. The humans that were left on that planet are serving him willingly. He's giving them powers to help defend when the great conquerors come back with their empire, he's basically turned a broken world into his own personal army of super villains, and they don't even realise it

Oh so he's turning their gratitude into his personal achievement. He's making them do what he wants because they feel like they owe him. Yeah that's... That's awful: should we drop what we're doing now head over to that dimension, and try to convince them otherwise

Izuku shook his head: most people have been through enough, let's not rattle their cage anymore. Besides, I don't think they would even believe us right now or one is their saviour, and as much as I hate to admit it, there's nothing we can do those people want to believe that he's a hero. Let them believe it one way, or the other they'll realise that they're no more than just toys to him.

I guess he is right, if those people have already been in enough, I don't think they want us dissing the person that saves them from God knows what: so how do you know all this I don't think breach could figure out this much information just by stalking and appearing like she does

Izuku explains: well reach managed to rescue one of the swarms targets, a girl calling herself Eve apparently, but she's crippled from the neck down. She can't speak properly. right now she's in the medical bay and she's using some technology that we may or may not have stolen from a hospital in the boys universe she's using that to speak and right now we're debating what to do

I raise an eyebrow : what do you mean?

Izuku: well, we have methods on how to make her able to walk and move around the problem as well... We're not sure if we should and I'm not saying that in a bad way I'm just saying that well both ways aren't exactly easy. Well one is easy but it's incredibly painful 2499 says that he can get his hands on some sort of nano bots that can heal her body. The problem is the process will be extraordinarily painful for her and there is a 50-50 chance she's not gonna make it

Okay, that doesn't sound: and the other option?

Izuku: Stephen drains her in the Mystic arts... And I know that sounds fun, but I'm trying to learn some of it too, and it's really hard. It's like abandoning everything you already know and learning an entirely new function of the world and even then we're not entirely sure it's going to help her walk. Plus Stephen hasn't trained anyone in the Mystic arts, a very, very long time, much less a teenage girl we're not even sure she's capable of learning it since they're not from the same universe

I see the dilemma: so it's either something that could possibly kill her, or learning an entirely new function of the world, and not even being able to walk afterwards possibly

Izuku: yeah, right now, we're letting her rest after this mission we're gonna give her the options and let her decide. It's the best thing we can do to be honest. But enough about that, let's focus on the mission, getting into an abandoned pizza place, which... Suspiciously has an open door.

I looked where he's pointing, and he's right A side door is open as a matter, fact it looks like it's been broken open which means someone broke into an abandoned pizza place?

Izuku started talking to: what do you mean... I didn't see anyone... nana are you sure?...Well partly because I didn't see anyone... i'm not calling you crazy I just-okay fine we'll check it out

I forgot that he can speak to the past users of his power by the sounds of it he was arguing with one: what was that about?

Izuku: apparently, Nana the eighth holder of my power just saw four kids running into the building which is impossible because she said that they were right in front of us so unless we're both going blind or...

I finish what he saying: a ghost just saw another ghost

Izuku's point of view

So, despite the creepy notion that this place might be haunted me and Miles, I wouldn't say bravely walked in. We nervously walked in...and I could feel my leg start to shake I was terrified Of course, I hit it well.

Miles:izuku are you shaking?

I turned around and tried to look brave:... No

Miles: you are, you are afraid of ghosts, you fight a bad guy that threatened to rip a hole through reality, but you were afraid of ghosts

Okay, obviously pretending to be brave isn't working here: i'm sorry I'm a superhero I fight bad guys, I'm not a Ghostbusters

Miles: but don't you have like eight ghosts living in you aren't you technically being haunted?

Nana appeared beside me, and I could hear her snickering laughter : he's not wrong. Ooobbb I'm a ghost I'm haunting you

And her childish antics begin again : can you not right now please we are walking into a place that could very well be haunted by ghosts actual ghosts

Nana sounded offended: i'm sorry, and what are we chopped liver?

With them, it's different I don't know how but actually going into a place that we think is haunted is a lot scarier than ghosts from the past hanging around you and giving you advice on how to defeat your enemy

I tried to tell her : it's just different okay look it looks like we're heading to the main... Oh my God

We managed to make it to the main area without anything spooky happening, but the spookiness just went up to 11. The place was trashed tables thrown everywhere chairs, broken a pinball machine destroyed, shattered glass on the floor. That's not the creepy but the creepy part was the lights were on and music was playing along with the animatronics, which looked terrifying in the lighting.

Miles: okay, I'll admit it. This is getting kind of creepy. I think my spider sense just went off how about we go back outside and maybe get ourselves I don't have a ghostbuster a shaman, maybe a minister or maybe and hear me out those two guys from that supernatural TV show what was it called?

I look at him suspiciously : supernatural?

Miles: yeah, but you know what I'm just gonna wait outside

He tries to leave, but I grab him by the collar and pull him forward: Okay, this is just pathetic look at us we fight bad guys and we're scared of an abandoned pizza place. Seriously we've been in more life or death situation right now than most people deal with in their entire lives it's just a man up about it are we gonna do with scout out the area and report back simple

That seemed to reunite miles with his confidence, and it did work for me a little bit so the two of us went around the trashed area, searching for an energy point to get a clear view of where the infinity stone was. When we found it, it was in the centre of the room. The downside is we still had no idea what kind of infinity stone we were dealing with. We know it wasn't the one of time since strange still had that one from his home universe, but still it could be anything, and it could be very dangerous for us to just dig it up.

I was thinking of anyway, we could get it out of there without disturbing it when Miles repeatably tapped my shoulder: Miles, would you stop capping me on the shoulder so hard, it really hurts you need to learn yo-

I stop talking when I see his face is horrified and scared face. Take me long to realise why he was scared because when we came in here, I counted for animatronics three. On the stage and one hiding in the corner, and when I looked at the stage, now, there's only two on the stage and the one hiding in the corner is missing too.

I didn't take long for us to find them actually they found us, because somehow, while we were searching the place they ended up behind us, and are now menacingly walking with their metal feet towards us, completely scaring us to death so much so that I jump into miles arms like Scooby Doo

Miles carrying me as he walks backwards: hey... Animatronics, we didn't mean to... disturb we just and we'll just be yeah we'll leave!

It's what we wanted to do, except the other two animatronics that were left on the stage, managed to end up behind us as we were being cornered by a fox, and a bear. Now we were surrounded by The whole gang, and they were looking at us rather angrily

Ring the worst, we both close Our eyes I know what you're thinking, we are super heroes why are we scared of animatronics well the haunted that's kind of a new level of creepy but to her surprise none of them do anything miles is confused, but I'm not someone scolding them

Are you open my eyes again to see Nana telling off the evil animatronics: now, is there any way to treat people children! Well?!

The animatronics are actually back off a bit there Not scared of her there, listening to her like their...children that's it: Miles, I know this is gonna sound crazy, but I think the animatronics are the kids that went missing or at least they're souls anyway The reason why they're back in the office because Nana is scolding them, they're listening to her because she's an adult

Miles: That makes sense... Speaking of whichizuku?

I look to him: yeah?

Miles: could you get out of my arms please?

I realised I'm still in his arms right I should probably stand up on my own 2 feet. I jumped out of his arms and we don't make eye contact with each other. That was weird: okay, if we ever see Gwen or Peter again, let's not tell them about this

Miles nodded: agreed
