Okay so if you people been asking what Gwen has been doing one from into the spider first part of the story so I thought I would give her own chapter which will basically just be the opening of Spider-Man crosses by that remember Gwen said she was part of the spider society for a couple of months so this isn't the start of across the spider verse this is just Gwen getting introduced to describe the society

the leader of the band Mary Jane looked at Gwen as she was storming out: gwen is it about the guy you met?

gwen stopped and turned with annoyance plastered all over her face: don't go there

Mary Jane: also that is what this is about Gwen I get it you had a special connection with him he understood what you went through but come on move the guy has a call you back he hasn't come to visit the only thing you've told us about is that his name is izuku and he lost a friend to that how you bonded you haven't told us how you and him met you haven't even told your dad about him what is so special about this guy that you're willing to wait this long for someone who is not going to be back in your life for all you know he's probably got another girlfriend by now

gwen infuriated by what Mary was saying: don't go there Mary just dumped... And for the record I'm the one who told him that he needed to move that we want... Meant to be together would have been nice but it wasn't meant to be

Mary: then why are you so hooked up on him why haven't you moved on

Gwen turned around and continued to walk out: because I can't and he probably can't either...

Mary: then why aren't the two of you together right now wise and he's supporting you when you were talking about him you were as happy as you were before....the incident so if neither of you too can move on why are you together now

the spider woman of this reality didn't give a response she just walked out of the band quitting not willing to go through all of it all over again

another girl in the band raised her hand slightly: I play drums... Just so you guys now and I'm not hooked up on someone right now

when just walk down the street of busy people hanging out with friends the loved ones and she just walked alone she saw couples a mystery and she couldn't help but imagine herself and izuku doing the same thing she missed him, she missed miles but more importantly she missed the fact that her and izuku never have moments like that there were never be a couple walking down the street holding hands and laughing just been happy with each other's company she would never have that with him because they were never meant to meet on more ways than one

Gwen thought to herself: I never thought I would find love after I lost Peter then I met izuku and I was proven wrong however we couldn't be together is from one universe I'm from another it would never work out swear told him that we need to move on after we kissed me and I gave him my phone number because what else are you supposed to do that kind of situation but I know that it wasn't meant to be even though now I still want to be with him more than anything I told him to move on with their was only for my sake to tell myself that he was going to be happy without me. I don't think I can be happy without him

she then started thinking about other things are how her whole life just fell apart

she then remembered how the public reacted to be Peter's death how they blamed her for the whole thing because she was a menace wearing a mask not showing her face she remembered how father promised to catch a spider woman unaware that he was hunting his own daughter. 

Gwen's thoughts: sometimes I wish that izuku was here with me maybe if he was this whole thing would be a lot easier to go through with him by my side he said himself he was once thought to be a criminal for mass murder to be fair though he was framed by a Colts that planned on wiping out though world so they could take it over for some bizarre theory called the quirky Doomsday theory he told me all about it on the bus ride I don't really have an understanding about he understood what it was like to be falsely accused and as selfish as it sounds can I wish he was here so we could maybe help clear my name... Oh I really miss him

Gwen continued her walk up the fire escape to her father and has apartment her dad was making something in the kitchen and she took this opportunity to open the window and sneak into her room she wasn't in the mood for a conversation

unfortunately she didn't get her wish her father noticed her coming in: oh hey how was the band

gwen not even making eye contact with her father: great super... I quit sooooo thumbs up

she continued to walk into her room her father looked down not really sure how to respond to that but an idea came to his mind: hey we caught a break in the spider woman case

Gwen sarcastically responded she sorted out her clothes: that's good

the captain standing in the doorway: it will be good for us

Gwen smartly remarked: don't be so sure

her further confused by the attitude: she killed your best friend

gwen: you don't know that!

Capt Stacey confused: what you mean of course I know that ice was there I saw it she fled from the scene

his daughter smartly remarked: maybe she didn't have a choice

Capt Stacey: I've got a job to do-

Gwen interrupted her father: it won't bring him back! Nothing we do will bring him back something I learned from a friend

a further confused by the words: Gwen what are you talking about who told you that

her eyes widened she didn't mean to say it she let it slip now she had to come up with an explanation:... A while ago I met someone someone who went through the same thing I did in a way. He and his friend Charlie were picked on a lot when they were kids and only got worse when they got into the next grade where they were separated and sent to different schools my friend he still got picked on but not as bad as Charlie but Charlie didn't want to tell anyone about what was happening so he just pretended like everyone was fine... Until it wasn't

the captain: what happened?

gwen let out a sigh: he texted his friend told him he'd been a great friend that's when he knew something was wrong he raced over to his school and found Charlie his face covered with bruises on top of the roof he tried talking down but... It didn't work Charlie jumped and my friends paid himself ever since he tried to forget so many times about what happened trying to ignore the pain because he knows that no matter what he does he fail that day I failed Peter should have seen the signs should have been a better friend I just wasn't

the father: why didn't your friend go to the police or the teachers someone else to tell what was happening

Gwen looked down and was smirking at how hurtful the ironic it was: he did no one cared not a single person cared about the two boys everyone thought were worthless they didn't think they would achieve anything in life even though they tried so hard to prove them wrong they just didn't care to them Charlie jumping off the roof was not a problem to them it was a blessing that's how I think of it anyway... Dad I know you Wanna catch spider woman but it won't bring him back I won't bring this closure either he's just gone is no point in denying it no point in imagining that there's going to be some miracle he is gonna come back after you catch her he's just gone

captain Stacey: so what I should just let her go because it doesn't matter Gwen that's not how the law works

Gwen: I know! I know! I know you have a job so I know that's not how the law works just saying you're getting so hooked up on making spider woman the bad guy you don't tend to think that maybe just maybe you could be wrong really she's not a murderer maybe wasn't on purpose maybe she feels just as hurt by Peter's death as you!

The father and daughter stared at each other for a moment it was clear that neither one of them is going to win the argument so the father being the oldest decided to speak: well we won't know until I catch her... Hey are you to punk rock to give your old man hu-

he didn't get a chance to finish before Gwen raced in to a hug with her father was rare that they had like this where it didn't matter that her father was hunting her has alter ego spider woman or that they weren't yelling at each other on whether or not spider woman was guilty of killing Peter or whether or not work or the band's got in the way these were genuine father daughter moments and Gwen decided to hold onto each one as tightly as she could

the captains radio interrupts the moment as there was reports of a vulture attack in the art museum
