A whole year and almost a half. That's how long it had been since that incident. (Y/n) had urged Silver to endure the year in Johto by redoing everything they supposedly did in his original future. Only then did she agree to meeting his sister in Kanto which was where they were now headed as they went to the Pokémon Center in Viridian City. Silver had contacted Green and she'd asked that they meet there before heading back to Pallet Town.

"She's going to freak out when she meets you. I swear she's going to try and find something, anything wrong," Silver muttered. "You worry too much," (y/n) said as she suddenly pulled Silver's arm and gave his cheek a quick kiss. (Y/n) laughed a bit at Silver's blush of embarrassment. "You two always do that every time we go somewhere," Gold complained. "I still don't understand why you two had to tag along in the first place," Silver muttered, referring to Gold and Crystal who had decided to join them.

"Don't be like that Silver. We're your friends. Besides, I've never met this sister of yours before," Gold said. "I'm starting to agree with Silver though. You criticize everything we do," (y/n) said spotting the Pokémon Center as she did. "What am I supposed to do? I'm bored," Gold said in his defense. The four of them hadn't even made it to the Pokémon Center when Silver's name was called by someone (y/n) was unfamiliar with.

"Silver!" the girl said happily as she made her way towards them and waved. Silver gave a shy smile and glanced at (y/n), taking her hand and walking a little faster towards this person. "It's good to see you, Silver. This must be the girl you mentioned. (Y/n) right? Nice to meet you. I'm Green," the girl said. "I'm (y/n). It's nice to finally meet you," (y/n) said as she shook Green's hand. Gold and Crystal introduced themselves too and Green began to lead them the rest of the way to the Pokémon Center but (y/n) stopped in her tracks, hearing her name being called by an extremely familiar voice.

"(Y/n)...is that you?" the person said. (Y/n) whipped around looking for the source of the voice that she'd longed to hear for so long. "Brother?" she whispered as she spotted him standing alone. Everyone but Silver stood there in confusion as (y/n) stared at N trying to determine whether or not she was hallucinating. "It really is you...I found you," he said as his initial look of surprise changed into happiness. (Y/n) didn't guve him time to say another word.

She'd let go of Silver's hand and tackled her brother into a hug. "I'm so sorry," she said as she hugged him to near death. The thing is, (y/n) had run from Unova after remembering everything that had happened to her. Once she'd heard that her adoptive brother was leaving Unova to travel with Reshiram, she figured that she should leave as well without a word to her brother or sisters. Seeing her brother again after doing such a thing was a bit overwhelming and so she let herself cry tears of joy.

"I can't believe it. Have you been here all this time? I've traveled everywhere except here and Johto and I still never found you until now. You shouldn't be apologizing. It's my fault. If I had done more...then maybe you wouldn't have left," N said as he seemed to near crying as well. "It's not your fault. I didn't leave because of you," (y/n) said as she released her brother from their shared hug. "You've gown so much since I saw you last," N said as he too let (y/n) go and wiped a few stray tears from his eyes.

"(Y/n)...is this him? Your brother?" Silver asked. (Y/n) hadn't noticed that he'd walked up to them until then. "Yes, I'm her brother. Are you the one responsible for looking after all this time?" N answered. Silver nodded. "My name is Silver. We've been keeping each other safe for the past year and almost a half," Silver said proudly. "Hey, Silver, hate to ruin this moment but um...we kind of need some introductions," Crystal said as she, Gold, and Green walked towards them too.

"These must be all of the friends you've made," N said with a smile. "Nah, Gold and Crystal are her friends. Silver's an extra special friend, and I'm Silver's sister by adoption I guess. The name's Green by the way," Green said. N looked from Silver to (y/n) and back to Silver. "Oh, so you're that type of friend. Am I supposed to be the overprotective brother?" N asked, truly confused as to what he was supposed to do about Silver and (y/n)'s relationship.

"Nope. You could be the super chill older sibling like me," Green said with a thumbs up. (Y/n) glanced at Silver seeing him shyly glancing to her and away from her repetitively. "Hey guys, I'm a bit tired fron traveling. Shouldn't we go ahead and head to Pallet town?" Gold said with a yawn and put his arm around Crystal's shoulder. "Pallet Town? Is that far? I'll need to let Reshiram know that I'll be heading there," N thoughtfully said.

"Reshiram is here with you?" (y/n) asked excitedly. The pure white pokémon of the hottest flames was one of her favorite pokémon to communicate with. "Yes and I'm sure that Reshiram would like to see you again as well," N said with a smile. "Who is Reshiram?" Silver asked giving (y/n) a questioning glance for he probably noticed that she had never mentioned Reshiram whenever she talked about her past.

"Why don't I show you all. I'm sure Reshiram won't mind any visitors. Is that okay with you, Green? It seemed like you were meeting with them so I wouldn't want to intrude on your plans," N said in the same polite way he usually always did. "I don't see why not. We'd have to cross a forest to get back to Pallet town anyway. Besides, I don't think Blue would take Silver's new relationship status very well," Green said.

Now it was (y/n)'s turn to give Silver a questioning glance knowing that he'd never before mentioned anyone named Blue. He shrugged indicating that he had no idea who this Blue was. "Alright, then I'll lead you all there," N said. "W-wait....I um..." Silver suddenly said, holding his head down to hide his blush of embracment. "What is it Silver?" Green asked. "I wanted to talk to (y/n)...alone. We'll catch up to you guys in a bit," Silver said, avoiding the gazes of everyone present, including (y/n).

"Oh, okay. Will you two be able to find your way to us?" N said with a bit of worry. "I can track Reshiram down with my ability. I'm sure we'll be fine," (y/n) said with a nod. "Okay then. You two better not be gone too long then," Green warned. Silver nodded and took (y/n)'s hand and guided the two of them into the Pokémon Center. Silver waited for a bit, making sure everyone had left, before he quickly darted out of the Pokémon Center, pulling a very confused (y/n) along with him.

"Silver wha-hey?! What's going on?" (y/n) said. Silver suddenly stopped behind the Pokémon Center. He gave her a scared expression as he stood there asking her to quiet down but she wanted answers. "Silver, just tell me what's goin-!" (y/n) was saying when Silver suddenly pushed her to the wall and kissed her. (Y/n) was thoroughly shocked by Silver's irregular behavior. He pulled away from her and put a finger to her mouth to signify silence.

"Just listen to me. Please, this is important," he said. (Y/n) nodded. "Celebi sent me a message just a week ago. It was a distress message and I haven't heard from Celebi since but I didn't think to tell you because I didn't want you to worry. I wish I'd told you sooner. (Y/n), we're in danger. That person, whoever or whatever that is, that's not your brother. He's an impostor. Celebi told me so. I don't even know if my sister is actually who she says she is. At this point, I don't even trust Crystal or Gold," Silver frantically explained.

(Y/n) shook her head in denial. "No, N wouldn't be in on some sort of scheme. How would he be involved and how would Celebi even know any of that?" (y/n) said. "Please, (y/n) you have to trust me. I didn't believe any of it at first either especially since you told me that you hadn't seen your brother since leaving Unova. Then he showed up right when we were visiting Green. You don't find that even the least bit suspicious?" Silver said as he held on to her shoulders.

"I...what are we supposed to do? We don't even know who or what we're up against," (y/n) said. "No, we do know who we're up against. I told you I didn't believe Celebi when I was told...it should be impossible but...this is somehow Mewtwo's doing," Silver said. "Mewtwo? You mean that pokémon you told me your father did experiments on? How do we fight that pokémon?" (y/n) inquired. Silver shook his head at her.

"For now...we don't fight. We have to run. We need to go now. I can't risk anything crazy happening again. I don't think I can take it again," Silver said as he stared pleadingly into her eyes. She had no choice but to agree with him but she wasn't so sure. It was still hard to believe that her brother who had known so much about her was an impostor.

"We'll leave but you better come up with a plan. I don't want to run into this threat blindly okay," (y/n) agreed. Silver nodded. "Thank you," he said. Silver took hold of her hand and began to lead her to wherever their new destination was. For whatever reason, they now had to face danger again but this time, (y/n) would be prepared.
