Aizawa sensei rolled into the classroom.
His iconic yellow sleeping bag caught the eyes of all the other students and everyone immediately quietened down.
'Today we will be deciding your future...' the teacher trailed off, inwardly enjoying the anxiety he caused to his students. '... You will be picking a class representative.'
It's a normal school activity!
The class cheered and let all hell loose, arguing with each other about who should be the class rep. Ashido stomped on Aoyama's thunder among the chaos. Midoriya shook in his seat. Bakugou tried to assert dominance by not T-posing, but stomping one foot onto the table. Iida was after him in seconds.
(Name) was doodling in her book, a cute pout on her lips. Hm. What to draw?
Like a lighting strike, she had a sudden inspiration to draw the boy with heterochromia eyes. Todoroki Shoto.
'-- And our class rep is Midoriya and our vice prez is Yaomomo!'
Wait. What? What's this class prez business?
(Name) sighed silently. This was what she got for not paying attention to the class.
The lunch bell rang and everyone left for the cafeteria. Except for the bundle of kawaii-ness.
She had somewhere else to be.
.oOOo.
'What do you mean?'
'I have a nagging suspicion that something will happen at UA. Not necessarily good either,' he elaborated. 'And my hunches are never wrong.'
'... Okay. I'll be careful,' promised (Name). 'Anyway, how is business, Ciel?'
'Fine, as always. Sebastian's been attempting to bring home kittens, perhaps thinking I wouldn't notice.'
(Name) laughed and smiled at the camera displaying Ciel Phantomhive in his English suit.
'That sounds like him.'
'You cannot even begin to fathom the exasperation I must endure,' Ciel said, giving a rare, minuscule smile. 'I hope you are content where you are, (Name).'
'I am,' she answered. 'Trust me.'
He sighed, worry back in his expression. Although he covered it well with the disguise of annoyance.
'But do be careful. If you see anything suspicious...'
'I'll be extra careful. And if I can, follow the culprit. You've said that around eight times.'
He sighed again, 'Okay. I must prepare for an important meeting now. I will see you soon, (Name).'
'Bye, Ciel' was what she planned on saying if she didn't fail to hold in her laugh when she saw him frowning at the phone. He had just received a brand new S20, a big jump from his traditional paper mail system.
'... How do you turn this device off?' he asked, meekly as if trying to hide his lack of knowledge of the modern world. 'Why is there not a manual?'
Didn't your dog eat it?
'The 'End Call' icon first, Ciel. The red, circular thing near the bottom of your--'
-- And he ended the call. He probably pressed it on accident or something.
But what he said bothered her. Ciel had hunches all the time, and she could not remember the last time they were wrong. This time, Ciel said something about an invasion at UA. It was hard to believe because UA was the most prestigious and secure school in all of Japan, but (Name) knew that if he wasn't so sure of his hunch, then he wouldn't have called her when he knew she was at school.
If an attack is happening, then I need to be prepared!
(Name) stared determinedly at the bathroom mirror and pumped her fist in the air. To anyone else who had bee there, it looked like a bunny was trying to cheerlead. Adorably, they would add.
'I have to be extra careful--'
[WARNING. LEVEL THREE SECURITY BREACH. PLEASE SWIFTLY MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE NEAREST EXIT IMMEDIATELY.]
'AHHH!'
'Careful' clearly flew out the window there. (Name) dashed out of the bathroom and down the hall, trying to spot any other students who she needed to help lead to the exit. Thanks to her sensitive ears and nose, she could pick up scents no human could dream of detecting. This was the only reason why she had such excellent navigational skills. Without her quirk, she would be a lost child in a hero school forever.
Woah. Wait. What is that?
A purple, misty-looking portal had opened up from the ceiling, dropping a stranger to the ground. The stranger had light, shaggy hair and was in a dark get-up. He oozed of murder and malice, and his scent was proof of that. His presence in itself is sus. However, instead of running away like any other person, (Name) crept closer to the scene to the scene. Thanks to her training with Tendo, she was light on her feet, enough for her to follow behind someone without them knowing until it was too late.
Thanks, Tendo-nii. You're a life-saver.
The stranger, now dubbed Crusty, walked over to an office with its doors ajar. He shuffled inside, looking left and right before entering. Even the way he smells is sus. He was bad news. She needed to warn someone about this guy. As quietly as possible, pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of Crusty holding a green file. He didn't even look anywhere else. He just took a look at the file and left in the portal.
(Name) let out a sigh of relief. She knew she had to option to take the guy on right then and there, but considering that misty portals didn't look like his quirk's doing, she'd assumed that he was working with others. The number of enemies she did not know, but if he was in contact with them the entire time, then he could have pulled them out at any time had she revealed herself.
I made the right choice. The safest and most beneficial.
... At least, I hope I did.
.oOOo.
The office was tense as none of the three teachers dared to breathe at the news.
'So the alarm wasn't a fake?' All Might (in his buff Hero form, of course) asked. 'Young (Name), are you saying that there may be intruders on school grounds?'
'Yes, sir,' said (Name). She was serious and had caution written all over her face. 'I saw them in the halls after I exited the girl's bathroom on the third floor.'
'Where's the evidence?' Aizawa asked, scratching at his stubble slightly. He narrowed his eyes at the news. If what his student said was true, then the students may be in danger. The intruders have a highly likely chance to be villains. The League of Villains.
(Name), smiling to ease the tension, brought out her phone and showed the teachers the pictures she had taken of Crusty. At the sight of him, all three teachers tensed even more.
The room was so quiet, a pin drop could be heard. The teachers exchanged solemn looks.
Nezu then spoke, 'If what you say in accurate, which I'm afraid may be the case, then we will take extra measure to keep the students safe. Thank you informing us of this. If possible, could you leave your phone here so we can analyse the picture more thoroughly?'
'Of course, principal Nezu,' the bunny girl smiled her cute bunny smile and struck at the adults' heart. So precious. So pure. Must protecc.
'Class is starting, so I'll leave now,' she said.
'Oh, wait,' Nezu stopped her before she could reach the door handle. 'Before you go, please don't speak of this to anyone else. This is to not alarm anyone unnecessarily.'
'Right! Bye sensei!'
And the door closed softly. Another silence ensued.
'I must say, Aizawa,' Nezu said, smiling while sipping his tea. 'You have such an adorable student.'
'I don't know what you're talking about.'
'Fine. Be that way, Aizawa,' the bear, mouse thing replied smugly. 'I believe the term teens use these days is... tsundere.'
'I'm leaving,' Aizawa said. He muttered the next part to himself, smirking a deadly Aizawa-smile at the empty corridors. 'And (Name) is more than just a cute face. I believe she has more potential to be a top hero than most in her class.'
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Aizawa praising his student, not planning to plot a murder. Please do not misunderstand that face. He was born that way.
