Connor x Jared

Scenario: It was the end of summer break. Jared had came home from summer camp early, and was relaxing on his bed. It was a normal day for him, until his mom called him downstairs. He came downstairs to see his mom and dad on the couch, on either side of a sobbing Heidi Hansen."Heidi? What's..what's wrong, why are you crying?" He asked, going up to her. "E-E-Evan...h-he's d-d-dead," She choked out.
Jared was a mess for the rest of the summer. He didn't expect it to affect him as much as it did, and it didn't help that Heidi would be staying with the Kleinman's.
Jared's mom made Jared go to school, saying he shouldn't miss his first day of senior year. Jared made no attempt to act like some snarky, sarcastic, cool guy. He was a nervous mess, which was a side of Jared that nobody at school had seen before- It was the real Jared.
He practically ran up to Connor as soon as he saw him. The two weren't friends, not in the slightest. Connor glared down at Jared, expecting to hear some kind of sarcastic comment or joke about how Connor looked or acted, but what actually came out suprised Connor.
"I'm sorry, Murphy- for everything I've done, for how I've treated you. Y-you didn't deserve it, I-I am so so so so sorry." ((What happens next))
