I got up getting ready for school I'm supposed to take Evan to school today I smiled thinking about how we meet it was odd but hey we're friends now after getting dressed I grabbed my keys and headed to my car"zoe hurry or I'll leave you behind!"I yelled as I walked to the car and got in zoe rushed out"jeez you're in a hurry"she mumbled while getting in closing the door I started the car"yeah we gotta pick up ev"she nodded as we drove to evan house I see Evan and someone else walks out"who's that?"Zoe was confused and I shrugged"I have no idea maybe a new friend?"Evan jumped in helping out the guy who was with him in"so ev who's this?"I asked he smiled"this is Asher but call him aj" asher looked at me smiling weakly having a black eye "will it's nice to meet you aj!"zoe smiled Asher looked nervous"n-nice to m-m-meet you too"his voice is raspy evan smiled looking at me"my mom brought him home because he was wandering around"Asher looked down mumbling"I got locked out of my house the other day"I looked at him up and down he seems like the shy and jumpy type "will that sucks"I replied he nodded as we head to the school Asher was looking out the window
A hour later
I was sitting with Evan eating at lunch talking we hear a "fuck!"Evan and I ran over to the noise and we see Asher pushed against the wall by a guy"hey weirdo where's the homework from last night?"Asher growled looking at the guy"fuck off!" I stepped in pushing the guy off"dude hands off the small guy" the guy glared at Asher and walked away Asher wipe his nose mumbling something he stood up smiling"thanks Connor that guy been troubling me"Evan looked at Asher closely"did he choke you?"Asher jolt "h-huh?"Evan pointed at Asher neck pointing out a hand mark on his neck I looked at it closer "shit man that looks bad"the hand mark was a dark bruise around his neck
He quickly hid it with his hoodie"t-thats old don't worry about it"me and Evan looked at each other Asher smiled waving it off I looked at him and then realized he probably have a shitty life at home
Evan pov
I hugged Asher"let's go to class"after school me Connor Zoe and Asher decided to go to the mall asher was talking to Zoe smiling I looked at Connor "Asher lives with his uncle apparently he isn't nice" Connor sighed "yeah I guessed that"Asher walked past us to the food court
