Glinda turned away from the mirror, hearing the glass of the window crack. She was in front of her vanity in her wedding dress with part of her hair draping in front of her.

At once, she rushed to the balcony, picking up her dress and looking around into the night while bells chimed around her. Nothing.

Nobody.
"Elphabud Thropp, Y/n L/n, I know you're out here. Just come in before the monkeys spot you."

Whoa-oh-oh-oh

When she turned, she saw two figures, one with a hat, cape, and broom. The other had a black bodysuit and tall boots that clicked.

Elphabud threw his hat off, storming into his lair. Y/n caught it and put it on the coat hanger, peeling off the bodysuit while Elphabud got one of his hoodies for her.

"This is between us: The Wizard and I."

He put up a poster of himself as the Wicked Wizard, this one with sharp claws and red eyes, screaming at the viewer.

Munchkinland had the same poster.

Glinda put her crown on, staring blankly in the mirror.

The monkeys were still looking for the Wizard, screeching as they flew around.

-

"The Wicked Wizard can't elude us forever. Not with Prince Fiyero and his squadron hot on his tail."

The soldiers bowed and Glinda smiled at her fiancé.

Fiyero aimed his gun at a figure in the forest. But another stepped in front of it.

No good deed goes unpunished
That's my new creed

The Wizard pulled a lever and was lifted up.

Y/n touched the Yellow Brick Road in rememberable of her Lindy, a single teardrop falling into it and making it a darker shade. "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz..." she chuckled dryly. Elphabud sat next to her and put his arms on her shoulders, resting his chin there.

OUR WIZARD LIES

And while Glinda knew that was true, she could not tell the Ozians, lest her reputation, position, everything she had ever believed in.

Both Elphabud and Y/n came down on the Yellow Brick Road, his cape falling and Y/n's head held high, looking down on the munchkins.

"Elphabud..."

People raised their torches, shouting for the return of Y/n.

"They're coming for you."

Y/n narrowed her eyes down on them. "Bring it."

Glinda walked to the same balcony she had been forced to part with Y/n and Elphabud. She hardly minded how her elaborate dress tried to trip her.

There was Glinda in the tree. And there was Y/n sitting with Elphabud, her head on his shoulder.

Tears formed in Y/n's eyes while she tried to keep a stoic composure, her lips twitching slightly. "Unlimited..."

Even as Glinda walked down the aisle with her insanely long dress and veil, a mutual heaviness weighed on both she and Fiyero. While he and Y/n were no longer lovers, he still cared for her immensely and wished her to be there for his wedding day. Tears built in his eyes when he realized he would neither be there for hers.

WITNESS THE EPIC CONCLUSION

Two munchkins led a girl with silver slippers and a dog down the Yellow Brick Road. This girl was not Nessa, yet wore her shoes.

Elphabud and Y/n danced in the Wizard's ballroom: the same strange dance/waltz combo from their first dance together.

AND BE CHANGED FOR GOOD

On two ropes, the broom worked like a swing, swinging the trio of friends into a flurry of pink lights. Y/n reached out and turned half of them green.

With his giant Oz Head and a deep voice, the Wizard spoke. "Bring me the broom of the Wicked Wizard of the West."

The lion looked up and remembered the green boy and ditzy girl that had saved him so long ago.

Fiyero went from aiming at Elphabud and Y/n to the Wizard.

-

"For awhile there, I thought you changed like me," Y/n said, sounding like she was about to cry.

Fiyero wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. "I have changed, sweetheart."

"It's time."

Glinda held her wand to her side, marching up to her bubble.

"For all of us. To FLY!"

He and Y/n shot up to the sky on his broom.

Because I knew you...

"You're the only friend I've ever had," Elphabud admitted to Glinda, then you Y/n, "And you're the only woman I've ever loved."

Because I knew you...

"And I love you," Y/n said, holding his hand tighter while a tear ran down her cheek.

Because I knew you...

"And I've had so many friends," Glinda giggled tearfully.

They all piled onto each other, nearly breaking down into sobs.

I have been changed for good

"But only two mattered..."

Y/n grabbed both of their hands, looking out into the ast of Oz in the moonlight.

Wicked!

Y/n saluted on the back of the broom with a cocky smirk. "We're off to see the Wizard."
