Organic

During this summer break, I'll be trying to do one of these each week. We'll see how it goes; I might make it one each day, or I might need to make it once a month.

We hear "organic" often, particularly relating to food, but what does it actually mean ?

It has two definitions as an adjective:

1. "relating to or derived from living matter."

2. "(of food or farming methods) produced or involving production without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents."

So now you know what it means when a food is "organic!"

Also, if you wanna see what the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) has to say about the organic label of food, this is a short read that gives a bit more information: https://www.usda.gov/media/blog/2012/03/22/organic-101-what-usda-organic-label-means

(In "Mailman? More Like Breeding Slave"?)

Deku: Is that meat organic, Tokoyami-kun?

Tokoyami: No, it's derived from dead matter.

Deku: ??!

Iida: Wait, but if it was living at one point, isn't it still organic?!!

Kaminari: If it was peed on, does that mean it's no longer organic because urine is fertilizer?

Shinsou: ... You peed on his food?

Kaminari: No, I don't think so, but that doesn't mean some animal didn't.

Shinsou: (giving Kaminari the look that communicates "You don't think so?")
