Candid is an adjective with two meanings.

1. truthful and straightforward; frank. Synonyms (other than frank): outspoken, forthright, blunt, open, honest, etc.

2. (of a photograph of a person) taken informally, especially without the subject's knowledge.

... That's ironic; those meanings are very different from each other--

Ooh, https://vocabulary-vocabulary.com/dictionary/candid.php has a nice little comparison: Candid means speaking "openly without reservation." Forthright means "direct and to the point, often in a blunt way." Ingenuous - which I addressed last time - means "sincere and stating only your genuine feelings."
