Omission
"What the hell was that?!" Niara went straight to her window to find the source of what sounded like an explosion.
"Could it be the kids playing around?" Asuka, as usual, had a tomato juice can in hand.
"Don't be ridiculous. LBX battles aren't that noisy!" The half-Russian pulled the younger girl to her feet. "Let's check on the boys."
"Whatever you say, Miss Levanov."
For just this once, she's going to ignore that.
Upon entering Jin's room, they found all the others aside the owner. This got questioning looks, but the other three were to focused on the screen to even acknowledged them.
"The same spike as a couple of days ago appeared again." They heard Kirito mutter. "It happened several times in less than five minutes. Then there's that explosion from the dump."
"The LBX graveyard." Niara corrected.
"Those parts could be recycled, you know. You won't have to spend as much on new parts that way."
"I agree, but here, that's like saying you'd dig up graves and steal a corpse's body part to fix up your own."
"... Point taken." He shook his head. "Anyway, because those spikes happened several times, I could pin point where it came from."
"Alright, so where's the enemy?" Gouda brought his fists together excitedly.
"That's just it." He brought up a map for them to see. "The explosion and the electromagnetic wave came from different places. On top of that-"
He was cut off by the sound of glass breaking. Through the shattered window, an LBX could be seen, pointing a gun their way. Before they could react, it retracted its gun and came in. "I apologize for startling you, Seekers."
Niara's eyes narrowed, but widened when she recognized it. "Digitonias? You're San from Jenock?"
"Correct." His voice came. "I'm currently in charge of evacuating the island. I'm sure this is a shock to you, but the World Sabers have placed bombs all over the island. Please allow me to escort you."
"Wha-" Asuka's cries of confusion was ignored as the LBX used its gun to completely tear down the wall.
Blue and red LBXs appeared from all sides, surrounding the room. Before any of them could process what was going on, the LBXs swarmed around them and lifted them into the air. Their numbers were enough to make a somewhat solid piece of land to sit on.
"Don't worry." The Digitonias appeared above them. "I'll make sure all of your belongings are safely transported to the ship."
Niara was about to protest, but was cut off. "Hold on!" Surprisingly, it was Sendou that raised his tone. "What about Kiyoka? ...And the other students?"
"I'm with the entire staff of Kamui Daimon. Everyone is preparing to board the ship as we speak."
"Oh..."
"We still have to wait for Jin!" Kirito spoke up. "He wasn't in the dorms, nor was he at school!"
"We've already got that covered. Now, please stay still and try not to fall."

She found the man just outside of the town, running towards the school. She muttered a small apology before bringing her hands up, and with it, the ground.
"Wha-?!" Shock came when a wall suddenly appeared before him. His eyes narrowed as he looked around, a hand ready to reach for his LBX if necessary.
"There's no need for that." She lowered herself to the ground, letting the rocks she was standing on crumble.
"You're... Fran?"
She nodded. "Kaidou Jin. I assume you know what exactly is happening at the moment."
The black and white haired man narrowed his eyes once again. "Reina-san told me the gist of it."
"And you know who I am?"
He was silent for a moment, his gaze landing on the flower-shaped button. "You're one of the kids Eva placed under the Kitajimas' care."
"Yes." Her hand clasped over the button. "She saved us many months ago, just a little while after Seredy's arrest." She lifted her head to meet his eyes. "There's no time to recall the past. What you have to worry about is what's happening in the present."
"The bombs?"
"No." Both her eyes as well as her button glowed. Her Heliorosa appeared beside her, its optics blinking. "Her."
A woman with blonde hair appeared in a projection. Her head hung low and it looked like she had been through quite a lot.
His eyes widened at the sight. "Eva...?"
A smiled formed but her lips were quivering. "Jin... I look like a wreck, don't I?"
"Eva, what happened? Can you-"
"I hear you loud and clear, but there's not enough time so I'll keep it short." She bit her lip and took a shuddering breath. "I... I failed." Before he could respond, she shook her head violently. "I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed! I couldn't do it! I couldn't save them! They know everything! And now you and everyone else are in danger, and it's all my fault!!"
"Wha-" The blonde was more than a trainwreck. She was a complete disaster. But Jin couldn't find the proper words to respond to her with.
So instead, she took over. "I can't do anything more from here. Jin, I'm sorry... I'm so, so sorry..."
"Eva..." His hand reached out to her, but she stepped back, shaking her head.
"I can't... I can't do anything now..." Footsteps could be heard from her side. "They found me. Soon, they'll find you too. That can't happen. Please... Please stay safe..."
She opened a palm and a sad smile appeared. Dread welled up inside him. "No... Eva, no, don't you dare-"
"I love you... Goodbye." Her palm closed. The sound of metal crushing could be heard, and her image was gone.
