Obstruction
"I still can't believe you let those kids off with guns!" Takuya said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "This mission was just supposed to be infiltration. In and out, quick and quiet."
"It couldn't be helped." Jessica tried to reason over the broadcast. "Besides, they volunteered to do it. And you agreed to let them come here too."
"I agreed because I thought you would be responsible enough to keep them out of harm's way... This plan is not going to work..."
"It will. I'm sure of it." Jessica had her arms crossed. "I mean, when has Kirito ever been wrong in his plans before?"
"Kirito? This was his idea?"
"Well, of course. Who else would plan something this crazy?"
"I would've thought Ban and Jin would object."
"They probably did, but Niara sure didn't. She was completely cool with it, perhaps because her family are just really good with weapons."
"Right... She has an uncle in the military... And her dad taught her how to hunt when she was young as a means of survival..." In the end, Takuya could only sigh. It seems his protests weren't going to get him anywhere. "Let's just hope they don't get caught."

A soldier walked into a room where a woman sat, blankly staring at her computer screen. That man was out for the moment, making this one of the few chances he could get to see her.
The woman didn't move, talk, or even blink. It seemed as though she was a doll. But the soldier knew better.
As he let out a sigh, the camera in the room blinked and the screen froze over, not that the guards noticed. He walked over and patted the woman's head. "They have arrived, just as you predicted."
The woman let out a thin smile. "And the children?" She whispered.
"Blending in perfectly."
She nodded. "Good. Make sure everything goes according to plan."
He bowed and, after unfreezing the monitor, left the room.

Around 7 pm, a lot of the soldiers were gathered in a large dining hall. Every single one of them still had their helmets on. The three kids in the corner were glad about this, as they could keep their cover.
This mission didn't feel like it was all that hard, at least, the inflitration part didn't. But finding the information they needed was another case. They had found the places they needed to search, such as the documentation library and all the like, but they could never find the right time to enter.
They ate in silence, thinking about what their next moves should be. Muraku was first to finish, but just as he was about to stand up, a couple of whispers reached his ears.
"Yeah, he's right over there."
"On his own again, huh?"
"Creep."
The three of them exchanged glances, but before they could say anything, a couple of other soldiers came to their table.
"Hey, don't you think that guy's weird?" One of them said, pointing to one soldier sitting not too far from them. He was alone and strangely didn't have any food with him. He sat there, simply staring at the wall.
"He could just be not hungry?" Nikolai suggested.
"He's been spending every meal time like that since he came. I highly doubt 'not hungy' is the case here." The other soldier stated.
The first one turned to the three of them. "You three look like rookies, so I'll give you a tip. Stay away from M1T over there. Only talk to him when necessary."
The second one chuckled. "It's not like he'll even talk to you if you try." The two left to bother some other soldiers.
The three nodded at each other and left the dining hall, not noticing M1T's eyes following them.
~~~~~
The three went on their final patrol session before heading back to their quarters. Muraku felt strange knowing that Hannah was rooming with them, but she didn't seem to care one bit.
"It's easier to keep track of each other this way." She had said.
Everything about this place was uni-sex. The uniforms made it hard to tell what gender each person was, they could only tell from their voices. The dorms are all mixed too. They assumed that people are just put into quarters depending on when they came to join, without a care about anything else.
Hannah got herself on the top bunk while Nikolai slept below her and Muraku on a single bed on the other side of the room. As they all climbed in, Hannah stared up at the ceiling in thought.
Every single room and corridor has a camera. All but the dorm rooms. She understands it might just be them respecting privacy, but she couldm't help but be suspicious.
After pondering for a minute she sat up and looked around. Nikolai heard the shift above him and opened his eyes. "Something wrong?"
Hearing his voice, Muraku got up too. Hannah ignored the question and climbed back down, scanning every bit of detail the human eye could see. Then, she finally spotted what she was looking for.
Wires. And they lead to... Her eyes followed the wires through the darkness. It led up to something stuck to the ceiling. Turning on the lights, her concerns were confirmed. A small black box was planted in the corner. A listening device.
The two boys finally saw what she was looking for and their eyes narrowed. They all nodded to each other in understanding and, after switching the lights back off, head immediately to sleep.
The privacy of their identities might be kept thanks to the helmet and lack of cameras in the room, but they are still unable to discuss their thoughts and plans. Only at that moment did they realize that they too, were trapped in a cage.
