Houjou Muraku

Prologue 3

~~~~~~~~~~
He didn't intentionally become famous. He just loves to battle. He loves LBXs as much as anyone else does in this school. Houjou Muraku had never gotten used to the people trying to surround him, even if it happens everyday. But this time, it was different.
That day, Vanessa Gala, his platoon member and friend, who loved to gossip, told their class about the new member of their nation in the next class. Mikhail Loake, another one of his platoon members, was interested to meet that student. Kiba Kageto, their mechanic, didn't really seem to care. Muraku just planned on meeting that person and welcoming them, like he does with every other new members he meets.
But that proved to be a challenge.
Lunch time came soon enough, and his platoon found that the whole class had surrounded the new girl. From their seat, they could hear little bits about her, but the thing that got his attention was-
"I can't believe you guys are siblings!" Someone shouted in surprise.
"No way! You're so different from each other!" Someone else said. "Wataru, why didn't you tell us you had a sister?"
Wataru?
He knew that was the name of the boy that looked up to him greatly. He turned his attention to the other table. His eyes immediately met with teal ones. She seemed nervous in all the commotion. Well, he'll get his chance to introduce himself later.
~~~~~

Ivan Krosky was their commander. After assigning some teams their duties, he dismissed the rest. Coincidentally, the sixth and twenty-seventh platoons were two of the ones dismissed. Wataru didn't waste any time. As soon as they were out of the briefing room, he dragged the other two to his idol. "Muraku-senpai! Muraku-senpai!"

"Wataru. Nikolai." He nodded at them. His gaze went to the new girl and he held out his hand. "Houjou Muraku. Leader of the 6th Platoon."

She stared at him, before nervously shaking his hand. "Kenbishi Hannah. Mechanic." Nikolai patted her back and Wataru was smiling brightly.

"I didn't know you had a sister." Mikhail said from behind him.

Wataru laughed sheepishly. "She doesn't like it if I talk about her."

"Because you keep making me sound like I'm better than what I am..." She sighed.

"Hey, wait a second." Vanessa spoke up. "Are you the one who's gonna be my new roommate?"

The brunette blinked at her. "If you're Vanessa Gala, then yeah."

The other girl smirked. "Well, we're definitely going to have a lot of fun."

"If you bully the new kid now, you might make her lose her will before she gets a chance at War Time." Kageto muttered.

"Hannah's a great mechanic, and she's tougher than you think." Nikolai said in a laid back tone.

"It's really a surprise that the three of you knew each other even before coming to this school." Mikhail stated.

"Right?" Wataru was still as excited. He turned to the black haired boy. "Muraku-senpai. Nee-chan's skills will boost Rossius up even more! So you can count on our platoon whenever you need us!"

He couldn't help but let out a smile. "Then we'll be relying on you."

~~~~~
Despite the fact that it was only a few months back, to him it felt like so long ago. So many things had happened in such little time. From regular War Time to the increase of encounters with Bandit, to the appearance of Ezeldarm and Seredy Kreisler. It went as far as them having to deal with the terrorist group known as the World Sabers.
He sat on his seat and looked around the class. He's part of Jenock now and despite their victory, a lot of them were still shaking from the events. He knew that there will be a few who will return to mainland the next day to see their families.
With a sigh, he turned to the brunette behind him. "Hannah?"
"Hm?" Her focus stayed on her notebook. She hardly ever pays attention to her own surroundings.
"Hannah..."
"I heard you." She nodded this time, but still didn't look up.
"Hannah."
She sighed and finally made eye contact with him. "What?"
"How are you doing?"
She seemed to be caught off guard. "I'm... fine? What were... Why did you ask?"
He shook his head. "It's nothing. The past few days had us all on edge, so I was only making sure."
She blinked, before realizing what he meant. "Oh, that. Well, like I said, I'm fine. You don't have to worry."
He nodded. He looked around once again, before speaking up. "Are you going to leave too?"
She nodded. "I want to make sure Wataru's okay."
He smiled. "I think it should be the other way around."
"It could go both ways." She returned it. "I'll tell him you said 'hi'."
They spent the next few months rebuilding the school. Mainly the Second World beneath it. They had the help of many LBX manufactoring companies and other high-tech businesses to accomplish it. By the March of 2056, everything was completed and they sent out the invitations to their old friends and teachers to return.
One of the fastest replies came from Ms. Mito, who was more than glad to continue her work there. Her father had recovered and is also planning on becoming a lecturer. Another reply came from Gendou and a few other friends. The most surprising email they've gotten was from Kaito, who had just recently been released from house-arrest.
And finally, by mid-April, the Kenbishi siblings replied.
The two were going to arrive the next day, and Muraku wondered how well they were doing with his Belial Edge.
