Chapter 12: Introducing Mr & Mrs Black
"Perfect. That's great Aria." The photographer said as he got the last few photos of me by myself at the tree line of our yard. He had already taken the family and guest photos, and he had then asked if Jake and I would mind stepping outside to take some photos in more natural light. Alice had instructed him to take group photos inside the marquees.
I just couldn't stop smiling, my cheeks ached but I just didn't care. I was married! Married to Jacob! My childhood and teenage dreams had come true! Just for these few photos of us apart Jake and I hadn't let go of one another, I could feel his eyes on me now, both of us just itching to hold each other again.
"Now, together." The photographer instructed, motioning for Jake to join me and it was like he couldn't get to me fast enough. His hands slipped around my waist and my hands slid up to press against his chest. It was like I never wanted to stop looking at him, my husband. Wow, I was on cloud nine. "Beautiful, guys."
"I love you." I whispered as I leaned up on my tiptoes, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I love you too." He whispered back as he met me halfway and nuzzled into my neck. I heard the click of the camera and knew that was going to be the cutest photo ever.
More photos were taken, some with slightly more professional poses until the photographer believed he had enough and returned to the marquees to take more photos of the venues and guests, giving Jake and I a little alone time.
"My wife." He breathed blissfully, kissing along my neck and collar bone. "My perfect, beautiful wife." He got to my lips, and they lingered there for what felt like forever and I didn't mind one bit.
"Finally." I got out between kisses. "Stuck with me forever now, no backing out." I told him, smirking as we slowly swayed from side to side.
"I don't want to be anywhere else, I'm perfectly happy right here with you." He proclaimed, running his hands over my back, waist and hips. "You really look amazing."
"Thank you." I blushed, my eyes dropping from his face. "So, you like the dress?" I asked him, remembering his face when he first saw me, the tears threatening to fall.
"I love the dress, I love the hair, the veil, the flowers, everything." Jake admitted his face lighting up.
"Everything was amazing." I sighed contently thinking about everything Alice had done for us.
"She did good. I'm not going to lie though, I'm glad there's no more wedding meetings." He laughed before kissing my forehead, then pulled me into his body so my arms dropped around his torso.
"Me too." I agreed hoping that Alice couldn't hear us. "The glass was such a great idea!" I burst out, just being able to have the family and friends in the sunlight had literally made the wedding so much better, not that I was expecting us to be sat in darkness or anything. "I didn't even know that stuff would work." I exclaimed, it was useful information to have for future purposes, if I had the house made up in it, I could have the Cullens and my mother over at the same time. There was no way for them to hide from the sun in that house. Thinking about my mother led me to think about Scott. "Did you talk to Scott?" Jake stiffened and couldn't help the growl that rumbled from deep inside his chest. "I take that as a yes."
"He said some very inappropriate things." Jake hissed, his jaw clenched as he looked over my head and across the yard. I was about to ask what he had said but Jake's mind filled me in.
"Ew." I scrunched my nose up in disgust. "I wouldn't have minded if you broke the rule for that. Having him in my room made me uncomfortable, he touched me and lingered too long." I admitted, a cold shiver running up my spine as I relived it.
"He touched you?" Jake fumed, his face like thunder.
"Only a kiss on the cheek, but he put a hand on my waist. I wanted to throw him threw my wall." I sneered, my fingers twitching as I held on to Jake. It had been seen so long since I had last been violent, it was like my permanent newborn side craved it.
"You should've." Jake chided, finally looking back down at me, a little calmer again.
"Look, let's not worry about him." I said as I placed a hand comfortingly on the side of his face. "Let's just go back in there and celebrate the fact that we just got fucking married!" My cursing brought a smile to his face and he instantly relaxed.
"You're right." He pecked my lips. "Let's go, Mrs. Black." He smiled cheekily at me and then offered me his arm.
We walked back arm in arm, leaning into each other and just being in blissful content. I was freaking married! I was now a married woman! It was still so surreal, well sure it only happened approximately seventy-two minutes ago, but I just couldn't help myself, it had actually happened! I was Mrs. Aria Black.
I could hear Fallin' by Alicia Keys playing softly in the background and a light but urgent whisper of Embry announcing that we were almost back at the marquees. This time we didn't have to enter through the ceremony hall, there was a separate entrance for the reception marquee that opened out into the expanse of the yard.
Instead of a path of petals, a clean, white carpet was rolled out just before the entrance, with a squared off arch of those beautiful, coloured flowers outlining the curtains that I was assuming would open with our introduction. The carpet was also lined with the lanterns that ran along the edge of the aisle and a few more white rose petals.
"Wow." I breathed out, still amazed by Alice's efforts, she had left absolutely nothing out.
The curtains then opened, splitting to the sides elegantly before being pinned into place, revealing our reception area and our friends and family gathered in a crowded arc, glasses of champagne in their hands — the vampires just out of reach of the sunlight. Standing front and centre, with the biggest grins on their faces, was Embry and Tori. Tori smiled at me and then turned to the guests. "For the second time today, I introduce to you, Mr and Mrs Black!" She cheered as the guests chorused her, holding their glasses to the air before they all took a sip of their drink.
We stepped forward, smiling and thanking the guests for their congratulations. Two waiters on either side of Jake and I moved from the side of the carpet to hand us our own glasses, presented on silver trays. As Jake and I passed the threshold of the marquee, a heavy whooshing sound ricocheted around the tent as the curtains covering the glass panels around the room fell to the floor, and then the room was bathed in brilliant sunlight just like the ceremony hall.
Our immediate family swelled towards us first, and Jake purposefully positioned himself between Scott and I with his back ever so slightly facing him. "Congratulations, you two!" Mom beamed as she enveloped us both in a hug. "The ceremony was just so beautiful, you did well!"
"Thanks, Mom." I got out as she kissed my cheek.
"Jake, your mom would have been so proud of you." Mom acknowledged, a sympathetic smile on her face. Jake thanked her, but in all honesty, he couldn't remember her much, he was only eleven when she died, he could only remember fragments.
"Congratulations to you both." Dad hugged us next. "She's all yours now Jake, take good care of her."
"Thank you, Dad." I just couldn't get the smile off of my face. My cheeks were aching so badly, but I just didn't care. I had never, ever, been so happy before, so in love, so in content.
"I promise I will, Rob, though I'm sure it'll most likely be the other way around." Jake laughed before leaning down ever so slightly to kiss my temple.
"You're officially my little bro." Jesse grinned, throwing his arm around Jake's shoulder. "And well done, Ari, as sappy as it sounds saying it, the ceremony was really lovely." He smacked a big kiss on my cheek.
"Jesse! Watch my makeup!" I complained lightly, laughing as I over exaggerated wiping my cheek.
"You guys looked perfect up there." Tori squealed showering us in more hugs and kisses.
Billy took my hand next and patted it endearingly. "Welcome to the family, daughter." He winked at me, and I bent down to hug him.
"Thank you, Billy. Thank you for the vase as well, it was beautiful." I admired after kissing his cheek.
"You're very welcome, dear. I'm so happy you kept the traditions." Billy approved proudly, really truly thankful that we had intertwined the old with the new.
"Wouldn't have it any other way, Dad." Jake reassured, patting his father on the shoulder. There was look between them, a pure and gratifying emotion. They were thinking about Sarah, a shared moment knowing how much it would've meant to them for her to be there.
"You guys made me cry damn it." Rachel, her eyes brimming with tears, burst out. She sniffled before cutting in front of her father to hug us both. I laughed as I teetered back on my heels as she hugged us with such force.
"You cry at everything." Paul quipped from behind us as he bounced from side to side with a gurgling Aubrey in his arms.
"Shut the f up." Rachel snapped back, turning to shoot a quick glare at Paul, as she turned back her face was glowing with happiness and dewy eyes again. "Love you guys, but I think I love that dress more." She admired my dress once more, lifting the front of it to look at the lace. "I wish my waist was as tiny as yours... I'd steal it if I could fit into it."
"I've never seen a wedding quite like it." Joy sighed happily, her arm wrapping around one of my dad's as she leant into him. "Truly beautiful."
"I was hoping for at least one bridesmaid to trip." Quil jested, his hands shoved into the pockets of his suit pants as he grinned smugly.
"Quil, that's so mean. They all looked like princesses; Ari looked like a queen." Little seven-year-old Claire exclaimed animatedly, looking from me to Quil with wide, big brown eyes.
"She is a queen." Jake professed lovingly, and as I turned my head to look up at him, he caught my jaw with his fingertips and captured my lips in an endearing and romantic kiss.
When he pulled away, I allowed myself to finally take in the reception hall Alice had put together for us. The room was lit up with the natural light from outside, flowing in through the tempered glass, but fairy lights were also strung across the canopy, giving the room a warm glow. The same garlands of teal, copper and white flowers also hung across the room. The group of round tables, decorated in white tablecloths and teal runners with orange orchid centre pieces and candles, were set out to face a small stage which was lined in the same arches that were at the altar in the ceremony tent. I assumed that the dance floor was covered by the tables and the room would be changed again after the meal and speeches.
"Aww, sweetheart you look so goddamned gorgeous! I love it! I love everything." Aunt Renee's familiar voice broke out over my admiring of the room. Her arms were open wide, and I just got to see Bella, Edward, Phil and Paul's parents and my younger cousin approaching.
"Thank you, Renee." I hugged her back tightly before she moved onto to Jake, and it was Phil's turn.
"Mom, stop crowding." Bella complained as she stood to the side of the group with Edward, both their eyes occasionally looking to Ness who was standing with Carlisle and Esme.
Renee waved her off before briefly touching Bella's bare arm. "Sweetie, are you cold?" She questioned her face a picture of worry.
"I'm fine." Bella said quickly, trying not to cringe. I looked away from the awkwardness and turned to my Aunt Lauren, Uncle Malcolm and cousin Alexander - Paul's family. Lauren was my dad's sister, she knew everything about the supernatural world and me, and so did Malcolm who came from a distant line in the Uley family. He just believed they were stories until Paul phased. Alexander, Paul's younger brother, phased when he was just fourteen and that was due to the Volturi confrontation. He was now nineteen and a part of the Uley pack like his brother.
My aunt and uncle congratulated Jake and I, and teased Alex a little about how he needed to hurry up and find his imprint or at least a regular girlfriend. It was my dad that silenced his sister with the facts that not everyone finds their imprint so young, our generation of shifters had just been very lucky.
Jake and I then began to make the rounds, speaking to all our guests before the meal was to be announced. Bella and Edward walked with us, with Ness running over to meet us halfway. "It's times like these I wish I had your shield." Edward moaned, rubbing his temples as if he had a headache. "It's like information overload and it's all you two."
"I don't see anything wrong with that." Jake shrugged, a wide, toothy grin on his face. I smiled to myself at his cuteness and look down at our linked hands that were swinging between us and then at my dress then swirled around my feet as I walked.
"Daddy, I want to marry Seth. Do you think Alice will make my wedding as pretty as Ari and Jake's?" Ness burst out as she twirled and danced along in front of us, her movements actually reminding me of Alice.
I stifled my laugh with my free hand as Jake made no effort to dull his chuckles. Edward and Bella's expressions were picture perfect; I think Nessie was now at the stage where she was developing a little crush on Seth. "She's all yours." Bella passed the baton on knowing Edward would be most agitated by the comment.
"You're much, much, much too young Renesmee. You won't be getting married for a very long time." Edward remarked, his tone verging on the stern side ever so slightly.
"That's not fair." Ness pouted and she folded her arms across her chest.
"That's life sweetheart." Edward shrugged nonchalantly. I rolled my eyes, typical Edward and typical parent response.
We approached the rest of the family and Alice was light on her feet as usual, dancing around and speaking in that sing-song voice of hers. "It really couldn't have gone any better, I've really outdone myself." She boasted and literally all the boys huffed out a puff of air, I guess she'd been going on for a while. "Alright, I need another challenge, whose getting married next!"
"Me." Ness declared, slinging one of her arms into the air before pointing to herself. I side-eyed Seth who looked a little alarmed and took the most minute step further away from Edward.
"Oooo, I can imagine everything pink!" Alice gasped excitedly before clapping her hands together.
"Yes!" Ness agreed as they joined hands and began to jump around together.
"No." Edward said hardly, there was no subtleness to his voice now.
Jasper barked a laugh. "Ignore her, shes high on compliments." He said to no one in particular, he meant what he said but his face was still full of fondness for his mate.
"I will." I acknowledged, a teasing smirk now playing on my lips.
Then, before I could ever gather the energy to react, Emmett's voice bellowed loudly in my ear. "Congrats guys!" My body was ripped away from Jake's so fast I was worried it looked completely inhuman. Emmett held me around my waist as he spun us around, my dress billowing out around us dramatically, drawing the attention of all of our guests.
"Thanks, Em." I squealed, gripping onto his shoulders until he finally set me back down on the floor again. I just hoped my hair was still intact.
He then turned to Jake and gave him a hefty slap on the back that would've floored your normal human. "You're officially a Cullen, man."
"Hmm, don't know about that." Jake said reluctantly, just about keeping the teasing tone in his voice.
"Hush up, you're as much our son now as Edward, Emmett and Jasper." Esme waved her hands about before pulling Jake into a warm hug. I knew how what he thought of Esme, it may be hard for him to admit it out loud, but he loved her, and I think that was because she reminded him of Sarah. Esme me then turned to me, pulling me into her arms. "You looked so beautiful sweetheart. Never been prouder of you, you held it together perfectly. I knew you were nervous." She held my face in her hands and smiled at me... I tried to ignore my mother's stares at us.
"Does the dog have to be official family." Rose said abruptly, breaking Esme and I apart. She was just so blunt sometimes it was hard to know if she was being serious or not. "I'm joking." She said it like it was obvious, and in a move that shocked us all, Jake even more so, she reached forward and hugged him. "Just know I'm never doing that again."
Jake squeezed her even tighter. "I'll remind you of it for all eternity." He grinned, just as she shoved him off of her.
"Great." Rose sneered but I could see the smile playing at the corner of her mouth.
"Carlisle, your words were so lovely. Thank you, I couldn't imagine anyone else marrying us." I thanked him, hugging him as well. He had only been in my life a short while but having him in my wedding was essential, he was a father-figure for me and just him being there helped.
"I'm glad you liked it; in all honesty I was nervous about presenting your traditions." Carlisle admitted, laughing lightly.
"You nailed it, Carlisle, it was great." Jake shook Carlisle's hand as he spoke.
"Thanks, son." Carlisle joked and Jake feigned embarrassment.
"Son, wow, you've moved up in the world." Garrett exclaimed, announcing himself and the rest of the Denalis.
"A beautiful ceremony guys, shame about the smell." Kate added as she hung off Garrett's arm.
"Just don't breathe." Jake jibed as he brought me back into his side, his warm hand resting perfectly on my hip.
"Te ves como un ángel. Preciosa angel de ojos azules." Carmen complimented, calling me an angel, and I couldn't help the blushing smile that spread across my face. Being complimented in Spanish by Carmen just made the comment so much better. "So handsome too, Jacob. Such a beautiful couple."
"We wish you an eternity of happiness together." Eleazar smiled, nodding to the both of us happily.
"Come visit us whenever you like." Tanya offered as she hugged me. "Make it soon though, we're thinking of moving." She went on to say as she placed a hand on Jake's arm. I think hugging was a bit too much for them. Not because they didn't want to, but because of the smell.
"Where to?" Jake asked, the hint of sadness in his voice made me weirdly happy... he didn't want them to go.
"Somewhere cold, most likely on the east coast." Kate answered with a shrug, no doubt we'd be following after them soon, well the Cullens would at least, they had been here a while.
"We'll come soon." I promised, totally meaning it. We'd had only been to Denali twice in the last five years and it would be nice to see it again before we all moved on. We wouldn't be back to Forks and La Push to live for another fifty years at least.
The congratulations continued as we moved around the marquee, each time I took in something new that I hadn't seen before. My eyes spotted the cake in one corner, all grand and perfect, there was a photo booth that printed out two Polaroids per photo, one for Jake and me to keep and one for the guests, and there was a message in a bottle station where guests could write sweet notes for us to read later.
Seeing all our family was lovely, but there was a certain group of individuals that I couldn't wait to catch up with.
"Ahh, the happy couple." Benjamin called to us as we approached. Seeing him without his blood red eyes was a little alarming, he just looked so much younger. He looked like a regular fifteen-year-old boy, though, a slightly paler one.
"Benjamin, Tia, I'm so glad you could make it." I grinned, walking a little faster so I could get to them and hug them both.
"Don't mind Amun or Kebi, they are still wary of the Volturi." Tia apologised, offering a sympathetic smile.
"Don't see why?" Jake muttered under his breath, though of course we all heard.
"They didn't let go of their fear. We're working on it." Benjamin gave us a tight smile, still annoyed with his creator for being so closed-minded.
"We should always have fear." Siobhan. I turned to see her curvaceous self, her coven and the Amazons approaching. "But as Carlisle wishes, I shall will for us to never have a confrontation with them again. Congratulations to you both." She took my hand, and Jake's, and squeezed them.
"If they did come back, they would lose." Jake said cockily, as per usual. I couldn't help but smile at his confidence but that looming fear briefly rattled around my head.
"Still a child." Liam chastised in his thick accent, rolling his eyes.
"Leave them be, you guys looked amazing up there. I just love your dress, Aria." Maggie gushed, her hands animatedly motioning towards the skirt of my dress.
A hum of agreement sounded from the Amazons. With their wondrous heights, with the added effort of heels they were taller than most of the pack boys, Kachiri was even taller than Jake. His face dropped as she stood next to him, and he had to look up to talk to her. Their dresses were amazing, draping across their bodies with hardly any material it drew quite a lot of attention. They just looked so elegant it was hard not to look.
"Such a unique event. But I do not like these lenses on my eyes." Zafrina grimaced as she blinked about twenty times in a period of three seconds.
"Me neither. It's just to protect mine and Bella's mothers and their partners." I explained, trying to see if I could sense the start of any irritation in my eyes. The silent warning I needed to replace the lenses.
"I do like this dress though." Senna held the golden material that rested against her hip, admiring her dress.
"It's like Alice knew." Kachiri praised, looking just as gorgeous in her forest green dress.
"She always knows." Jake huffed, shaking his head.
Then, right on cue, the little pixie danced past us with her hands latched onto a clipboard and pen. "I do."
Jake's POV
She's such a know it all. I actually longed for simpler times when she couldn't see us. It was so much more peaceful. Speaking of lack of peace...
There were the heavy footfalls of multiple feet, the loud cheers then shook the room as the wave of my friends descended. I let go of Aria's hand and stepped away from her as quickly as I could before I was attacked. My boys fell into me, bodies slamming against one another as they fought to get me off of my feet and into the air.
"Woah, guys!" I hollered as I wobbled on their hands as they hoisted me above their heads.
"Mind the chandeliers." Alice screeched from somewhere down below as they cheered and hollered and marched me around.
I could hear my wife's beautiful laughter as the other imprints gathered around her. Wow. My wife. How in the hell did I get so lucky?! She looked so goddamned beautiful. And oh my god watching her walk towards me down that aisle, my heart was thumping so hard inside my chest, she looked stunning, breathtaking, I've never imagined anything more perfect... and now she was mine forever. My Ari. My wife.
As the guys marched me around, I tried to listen in on the girl's conversation. You know, just to see if they spoke about me. "Why are they all children?" Kim groaned. Maybe I didn't want to listen. Over my shoulder I watched as Ari laughed, but she wasn't all in it, her eyes flickered down to Kim's small bump.
I just hated when she did that to herself, going over it again and again inside her head. I knew she longed for children, it would've been an amazing gift, but I wish she didn't put herself down because we couldn't.
"I don't think they'll ever grow up." Emily added on, bouncing Finn on her hip.
"Pretty Ari." Finn beamed up at her and Ari's face lit up again.
"Thanks sweetheart, do you wanna have a dance with me later." She offered, that beautiful smile wide on her face.
"Yes please." Finn squealed before asking to be let down so he could join his brother outside.
"They won't, I can guarantee you they'll be doing this when they're old." Scarlett replied, folding her arms across her chest.
"With Jake and Seth as the ring leaders, the others will want to seem young, so they'll try and play along." Tori snickered as she elbowed Ari in the ribs lightly. I laughed to myself as I knew that was totally true.
"Good luck for all eternity, girl. You're gonna need it." Rachel cackled to herself.
"Thanks, I guess." Ari grumbled lightheartedly. "At least I'll have Ness."
"Attention please." The microphone feedback and Alice's voice silenced the room. The guys practically dropped me to my feet so we could listen. "Could you all please take your seats?Dinner will be served shortly."
* * *
"Do you think he's nervous?" Ari whispered into my ear as we watched Robert approach the stage with his champagne glass and note cards in his hands.
Our table was situated in the middle of the room, right in front of the stage. Next to me was of course my beautiful wife, then on my other side and going around the table was Lily, Scott (I'd rather him be seated outside... or back in Florida, whatever's furthest), Embry, Tori, my dad, Joy and Rob.
To my right was my other family members: Rachel, Aubrey and Paul, the Littleseas - made up of Collin, his younger brother Joseph (who was part of Sam's pack) and their parents: my Aunt Connie and her husband Kevin, and my other aunts; Jennie, Emmie, Nora and Jane. Connie, Jennie, Emmie and Nora were all my dad's sisters, with Connie being the only one to marry and have children. Jane was my mother's sister, who also didn't marry or have children.
To our left was Aria's family. Jesse and Scarlett, Renee and Phil, Edward, Bella and Renesmee (we just told the humans it was to make the tables somewhat even), and then Paul's family, Lauren, Malcolm and Alex.
Directly behind us sat the Cullens and Denalis, then next to them was the Uleys and Camerons, along with Claire and Sam's mother Allison. On the other side of our vampire family members sat the Clearwaters, including Charlie and Leah's boyfriend, Quil and Old Quil, Quil's aunt Ella, her husband and their two sons; Peter and Nathan - both boys were in my own pack.
There were only two more tables, one filled with our vampire friends, Benjamin, Tia, Zafrina, Senna, Kachiri, Charlotte, Peter, Maggie, Siobhan, Liam, Randall and Mary. And the other table was filled with other members of our tribe that we were close to; Embry's mom Tiffany, Brady and his brother Daniel (also part of the Uley pack) and their parents, Sue Clearwater's brother Lucas Uley, his wife Lucille, and their two children Thomas and Amanda. Thomas had also phased but he was actually a part of my pack.
"He's holding himself well, seems confident enough." I whispered back to her before lifting her hand and pressing my lips against her knuckles. "Why are you asking me anyway?" Then I lowered my voice even more. "You're the one that can read minds."
Ari shushed me quickly and patted me on the chest as a light scold before turning her attention to her father. It was now around half eight in the evening; the sun was setting soon and there was a perfect golden hour light shining into the room. Ari looked absolutely spectacular in this light, the way the sun sparkled in the blue of her eyes and lit up against her tanned skin, she was effortlessly mesmerizing.
As we had relaxed, I was finally allowed to take off my suit jacket, but under no circumstances was I to take my waistcoat until after the first dance. We had finished our meal, and it was now time for the speeches, Robert was to go first, then Embry and finally myself. Silence settled among the guests as Robert cleared his throat into the microphone.
"Welcome everyone. It's my great pleasure and privilege to welcome you all here today, at my home, on such a glorious day, to celebrate the marriage of Jacob and my extraordinary daughter Aria.
"We, Lily and I, are very grateful for all of you coming here today to be part of this very special occasion, and especially to those that have travelled great distances to be here, quite literally from all corners of the world. So, we should think of it not just as a great occasion for us but also for the world's major airlines, whose profits, I'm sure have taken a big boost.
"Ari, sweetheart, you look truly stunning today, I'm certain we'd all agree. But beauty is only one of Aria's many attributes, she is also fiercely loyal, totally dependable, fun loving and friendly. All of which, I'm absolutely certain, will make her a perfect partner. Jake, I think you are very lucky man."
"I am!" I interrupted which earned a few laughs.
"Aria, your strength and resilience has truly amazed me. You've faced so much in your young life, overcome so many battles and I couldn't be prouder." Robert continued, beaming at his daughter with such pride I think it brought a tear his own and Aria'a eyes.
Aria and I noticed the way Lily's eyes shot to Aria at Robert's words. Of course, Lily didn't know about what we had all been through over the last five to six years, she was oblivious to the supernatural. I only expected for her to pull Ari aside later and ask what Robert had meant.
"You're one of the best daughters a dad could ever ask for, and as parents we all live in hope that one day our daughters will find a partner, settle down, and get married. And we all want the best for our daughters and hope they'll find the right one, the one that'll make them happy, make them feel cherished, and who'll look after them always. It's a relief that I know for a fact that Jacob is the one for Ari."
I nodded to Robert, grateful, and smiled as Aria squeezed my hand. She was looking up at her dad with such admiration it made my heart swell for her... and then a rather sad thought entered my head: I'd never get to do that for one of our daughters. Stop it, Jacob! Don't put a downer on the best day of your life.
"Jacob, you've been in our lives for even longer than Aria has. Watching you grow into the man that you've become only leads for me to be proud of you too, technically - and some of our guests may not know this - you are our next Chief, and there is honestly no one better for the role - after Billy of course.
"Whilst the both of you were growing up there was a lot of speculation as to whether you'd end up together. Billy, Sarah, Lily and I would discuss it night after night as we watched you play together. You've hit a lot of bumps, let's be honest, but there are no two people more perfect for each other and I'm so happy you finally smoothed things out.
"So, ladies and gentlemen, it is my very great pleasure to propose the first toast to the happy couple." Robert raised his glass into the air, and we all reciprocated, I held my glass to Ari, and she turned to me also, her perfect smile wide on her face. "Aria and Jacob, here's to a long and wonderful life together. To Aria and Jacob."
"To Aria and Jacob." Our guests chorused as we all took a sip of our champagne.
Robert thanked everyone and then made his way back to the table, Ari burst out from her chair to hug her father as Embry nervously stood to his feet, nodded at me once and then made his way to the stage. I had never really seen Embry nervous before, he wasn't the most confident of guys, but he had never been afraid of being the centre of attention. I guess the only good thing going for him was this speech was about taking the piss out of me.
Embry waited for everyone to settle again before starting. "Right, hello everyone, I'm Embry, the best man. Traditionally the groom would give his speech before me, but he wants to show off, and as it's his wedding day, I have to be somewhat gracious to his requests. I was honoured and slightly horrified when Jake asked me to be his best man, but here I am. And where do I begin?
"I first met Jake and Ari when we were very young, so young that I can't even remember the exact encounter, they have just always been in my life. We've been through a lot together; our whole group has. I don't think there's ever been a closer group of friends that functioned so well. Ari was the only girl of our group whilst we were growing up, she was the punchline for most jokes, but she knew how to hold her own.
"Like I said, all of us have been through a lot together, things most normal friendship groups would never have to encounter. It made us closer, and in the centre of all that Jake and Ari's relationship began to evolve from friendship to that something more... and oh my god we never heard the end of it. I'd like to blame Jake for that one."
The guys in both packs chorused their agreements as I fought the urge to throw my dessert spoon at his head.
"In all honesty, I have never seen a love quite like it. Jake and Ari couldn't be more suited for one another, there's no second guessing it. I'm so proud of how Jake pulled himself together, we have to admit it was getting a bit rough for all of us seeing Ari close to having enough of Jake, but thankfully she gave him one last chance and it stuck! He literally worships the ground Ari walks on, and so he should, doesn't she just look beautiful today! Jake, you really couldn't have found anyone better.
"With that, I'd like to raise a glass to my best friends. Aria and Jake, I wish you an eternity of happiness together. To Ari and Jake!"
Again, our guests and Ari and I toasted to one another, and as soon as Embry returned to his seat, I knew it was my turn. "Good luck!" Ari whispered to me as I leant down to capture her lips in a quick kiss. I lingered a little longer than I should've, which then earned cheers and coos from our guests which finally broke us apart as it sent Ari into a fit of giggles.
I had memorized my speech, I didn't want to be looking down at cue cards, I just wanted to see Ari, I wanted to see those beautiful blue eyes looking up at me as I complimented her again and again. I ascended the stage, champagne glass in hand, and approached the microphone.
"Hi everyone, firstly I'd like to say thank you to you all for coming on behalf of my bride and myself." Hollers from my boys sounded around the room, causing me to grin. "Alice, I want to thank you for all your hard work and to everyone that helped out, I want to thank the beautiful bridesmaids and our groomsmen for helping to make this day even more special, I also want to thank Lily and Robert for not only bringing my soulmate into the world but for accepting me into your family as well.
"I'm sure all of you know Ari and I have had a close bond ever since we were children. She has been my best friend throughout my entire life. We have faced so much together growing up, we've always been there for each other, there was a time where we spoke to each other every single day no matter what..." Until I fucked it up.
"At first I thought I just had a childhood crush on her, but when I realised she reciprocated those feelings it dawned on me that it wasn't just a crush, I was full on in love with her... there was just issues within myself that led for me to keep letting her down. Saying I'm the luckiest guy in the world is an understatement, Aria is my moon, my stars, my universe. The gravity that holds me to the Earth. I live for her now and I don't know what I'd do if she didn't give me that millionth chance all those years ago.
"Ari, I cannot wait to spend the rest of eternity together. You have made me the happiest man alive, and I will never ever get enough of you. In honour of my beautiful bride, can we all raise a glass to her. I love you so much, Ari." I raised my glass to her.
"I love you too, Jake." Her smile was breathtaking.
"To Aria." I declared as everyone lifted their glasses in unison.
"To Aria!"

The darkening sky was filled with lavender and indigo clouds, covering up the first stars of the night. All of our guests were now waiting for us in the rearranged reception hall; the tables were now situated around the outside of the room with the centre housing a dance floor ready for our first dance. Aria clung to my arm, she hadn't let me go once since I returned to our table after my speech, and I didn't mind it one bit.
"I love you, so much." She stood high on her tiptoes and nuzzled her face in my neck.
"I love you too." I chuckled as I gripped her waist and held her close to me.
"I don't ever want today to end." She mumbled into my neck as she held onto me, her hands balling the material of my waistcoat in her fists. I think it was safe to say she was slightly tipsy. I knew she'd sober up soon, her vampirism made it hard for her to get drunk.
"I do." I said back to her, and she suddenly leaned back to look up at my face, her own scrunched up in confusion.
"Why?" She demanded, still clinging to me.
"Because." I leaned down to whisper into her ear. "I can't wait to rip that dress off of you and bury my cock inside you." I only said it to tease her, but I did want that too. I wanted to make her totally mine, our first night as husband and wife in our brand-new house, I just wanted her all to myself.
Aria visibly swallowed and her eyes widened. I could just tell from her expression that she had become wet, and I grinned to myself that I had successfully teased her. She blinked and shook her head before shoving me in the chest. "You're so mean." She whined as she folded her arms across her chest. Sober Ari was back.
"Just want you ready for tonight, baby." I lowered my voice, so it came out in the rough way she liked.
"Oh, I'll be ready." She promised, her eyes fiery with desire. "Just make sure you are." She warned as she tried to slip past me towards the tent. I caught her arm and spun her body back into mine, her giggles making my heart skip a beat. I wrapped my arms tightly around her to make sure she couldn't escape and nuzzled my nose against hers ready for a kiss.
"Alright love birds, its time." Alice's voice carried across the yard, breaking the beginning of a very hot kiss.
Ari pressed her lips back against mine quickly before taking my hand to lead the way back to the tent. As we approached the opening chords of Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls began to play, and Ari's pace picked up a little until we made it into the tent and onto the dance floor just as the lyrics began to play out.
"And I'd give you forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow."
I placed one of my hands on Ari's waist as one of hers went around my neck, our free hands joining as we began to sway to the music.
"You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now."
I spun her out onto the floor before twirling her body back into me, pressing my lips against her temple as she rested her head on my chest.
"And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
And sooner or later, it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight"
I knew everyone's eyes were on us, but mine were only on my wife. My wife. I still couldn't get over that. The room was illuminated in candles and twinkling lights, the light setting Ari's eyes aglow in the most beautiful way. I could just stare at her for hours and never get bored. No one has ever loved anyone as much as I loved Aria.
"And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am"
Aria's POV
I seriously thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest. The way Jake was looking down at me was doing things to my body I had never felt before - and not just in a sexual way. It was just such a romantic and longing look. It made my knees weak and heart strong. He was all mine - legally now too - and I just never wanted to let him go, never wanted to be apart from him. I wanted to spend every breathing moment in his strong, warm, muscular arms.
"And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know, you're alive"
I held onto him tightly as I sang along to the song softly, my head resting against his shoulder as he rested his head against mine. Nothing could ever ruin this moment. This was mine and I would cherish it forever.
"And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am"
We finished our dance with a kiss that was slightly on the inappropriate side. We just wanted to express our love to each other, just show one another how much we loved them and that we never wanted this heat and romance and sensuality within our relationship to end.
A few more slow songs followed, giving me the chance to dance with my father and Jesse, and Jake with my mother and his sister. I actively tried to avoid Scott by letting Carlisle twirl me around the dance floor, followed by Edward, Emmett and Jasper. Jake and Esme also danced together, he even got Bella on the dance floor... she had been trying to hide.
When the more upbeat music started the floor became flooded with people. We were all packed in close together, the drinks never stopped and it no longer felt like just a wedding reception but a party as well. Jake stripped off his waistcoat and tie and got on his hands and knees to pull my garter down my thigh with his teeth, the intense look in his eye sent me crazy and he knew it too! The garter got thrown into the crowd and one of the younger pack members caught it, his face going bright red once he realised what had happened. I threw my bouquet and Scarlett caught it (I was kind of aiming for her) and through her cheers I watched as Jesse smiled from ear to ear.
The night continued, dancing and taking photos and getting drunk. I couldn't have asked for a better night. The only downside was my contacts, every few hours I'd have to replace them and tear myself away from the party before any one saw the gold.
After my third toilet break and the swapping over of some fresh contacts I made my way out of the house and back down to the party. I was a little tipsy, I had to admit, but who wouldn't be partying on the night of their amazing wedding. Instead of walking through the small corridor marquee off the porch, I decided to walk all the way round to the reception entrance to enjoy some of the fresh, night air.
I got past the corridor marquee and then stopped abruptly when I heard a woman's sexual moaning. Oh my god! I refrained from bursting out into hysterical giggles and clamped my hand over my mouth. Someone was actually getting it on at my wedding, literally having only a thin supporting wall for the tents separating them from the party. I supposed the music stopped anyone from hearing them.
I was hidden around the corner, and couldn't help myself as I took a peak... and god I wished that I hadn't.
Standing there, with one of the waitresses pressed against the wall, their hand up and under her skirt and between her legs, was Scott, grunting to himself as he pleasured her. "You like that, don't you?" The smirk on his face was sickening. The whole thing was sickening. Not only did he beat my mother but he also cheated on her! It was all ending now.
"What in the actual fuck do you think you're doing!" I screamed, storming forward, my dress whooshing around me as I came into view.
They broke apart, the girl trying to push her skirt back down as fast as possible, muttering apologies as she tried to straighten herself out. Scott sighed heavily with frustration and turned on his heel to face me, his face was like thunder. "Always in the way." He growled.
I turned to the girl. "Get the fuck out of my wedding." I glared at her and her expression crumpled, her bottom lip wobbling. She must've been only eighteen, but I didn't care, how could you be so unprofessional, especially with a guy like Scott? She bowed her head once, apologised again and then ran towards the front of the house to her car. "You have got some nerve." I sneered at Scott, it took everything in me to not rip his head from his body. "How dare you treat my mother with such little respect!"
"I'll do what I want, when I want." He snapped back at me, his green eyes piercing and full of hatred as he stalked towards me. "Your pathetic excuse for a mother knows that!" He jeered and my lips curled back over my teeth and venom pooled in my mouth.
"Get out of our lives." I demanded standing my ground as he tried to intimidate me. "You don't scare me Scott. You're disgusting. Pack your shit and get the fuck out of my wedding too, and don't you dare think about going back to my mom's house in Florida."
He had closed the distance between us, that sick, perverted grin back on his face as he looked down at me. "I'm not going anywhere sweetheart, not until I take what I deserve." Vomit rose up my throat as he lunged forward, throwing his body against mine in an effort to get me to the floor. My body remained stoic as I paled. Was he really trying to rape me? At my own wedding? I shoved him back and he stumbled, half falling to the ground. "You bitch!" He stormed forward, his hand rearing back ready to slap me across the cheek but I caught his wrist midair just as I heard my husband call my name.
"Aria!" Jake called, and then multiple footsteps hit the floor as the charged towards us. Suddenly Jake appeared around the corner, his body already physically shaking as Scott pushed me back with his free hand. I let go of his wrist as Jake swiftly moved between us. "If you ever touch her like that again I will kill you! Do you understand me!" He seethed, the air around him quivering as his muscles shook under his shirt.
He leered over Scott, his chest heaving as his breaths came out in short gasps, the growls rumbling from deep in his chest. As much as I wanted him to hurt Scott, kill him even, he couldn't do it here. I caught Jake's arm and held myself against him. "Jake, calm down." I said in warning, keeping my voice even.
"What's going on?" My dad's voice echoed as I heard his footsteps moving fast towards us, along with my mom, Jesse, Tori and Embry's. The appeared seconds later, the confusion clear on their faces as they looked between the three of us.
"Scott, what's happening?" Mom questioned, her voice the song of worry as she faltered in her steps after seeing how angry Jake was.
"Your daughter and her husband attacked me, I was just minding my own business and then they tried to kick me out." His lies caused Jake to throw himself forward but it took a lot of strength for me to hold him back.
"You sick bastard, I caught him trying to assault Aria." Jake spat, his chest still barreling with his deep and furious breaths. We all cringed at that word, my mother's hand flew to her chest in shock.
"What an offensive lie!" Scott accused falsely, turning to my mother. "Lily I would never, that's your daughter." He approached her but she took a step back, not knowing what to believe.
"Mom, its true." Her gaze shot to me. "I caught him with his hands up a waitress's skirt, I kicked her out and then he turned on me. Come on Mom, you have to believe your own daughter against this pathetic excuse for a human being."
"How dare you!" Scott seethed, turning on me again but Jake took a step to completely block him from me.
"Scott!" Mom scolded, a rage I had never seen in her before had took over her face. Tears pooled in her eyes as her gaze moved swiftly from my face to her boyfriend's. "I can't take this anymore." She whimpered and Dad stepped forward to place a hand on her shoulder. "You said you wouldn't do this anymore." My mouth dropped open in shock, she'd taken him back after cheating on her before?
"I didn't. She's lying!" He screamed, his voice hoarse and Mom flinched with fear.
"She's my daughter Scott! I have every reason to believe her." Scott made for her then, charging forward but Jesse got between them and swiftly restrained Scott as my mom hid behind my dad.
"Get off me!" He raged as Jesse wrestled him to the ground.
"Get out of here Scott. Leave me and my family alone. We're over." A huge wave of relief washed over me. "You can't hurt me anymore, I don't belong to you. Get your things from my apartment and disappear." Mom ordered, a new confidence in her voice.
Jesse slowly removed his weight from Scott and stepped back. Scott jumped to his feet, his face bright red, making the green of his eyes stand out like cat eyes in the night. "Watch your back." He threatened and then turned on his heel, only pausing to spit at Jake and I's feet, before stomping off towards where his rental car was parked.
When we heard the spinning of wheels on gravel it was like we all let out a huge breath and then Mom burst into tears.
* * *
Despite the disaster that had left my mother crying in the corner and being consoled by Aunt Renee, the evening had been perfect. I just had to block that vile man out of my head and never think of him again. It would be like he never existed.
We partied on until about three in the morning, before the light broke over the mountains to give our vampire friends a chance to make a move. Alice had the final word of course, letting us know where she was sending us on our honeymoon, and honestly I couldn't be more thrilled or excited. First I jumped into Jake's arms allowing him to spin me around until the room was a blur, and then I all but tackled Alice... she's lucky she's a sturdy little thing.
She had given us a week and a half travelling around Kenya on spectacular luxury safaris with the other half of the second week on a private owned island off the coast of Tanzania. She told us she would explain more in the morning, but for now she wanted us to enjoy our first night as husband and wife... and to be perfectly honest, I could not wait. I've been wanting to rip that suit off of Jake since the first time I laid my eyes on him.
Unfortunately, it was Emmett who offered to drive us home after the many goodbyes. My mother held onto me the longest, promising me she'd stay with Dad or Jesse and Scarlett for a few days to calm down before going back to Florida. I'd call her tomorrow to make sure, but I was so proud of her for dropping that bastard.
Jake and I ignored Emmett's dirty comments the whole drive home, to be honest we were too busy staring at each other. I felt strangely nervous and it reminded me of my first time on the night of Bella and Edward's wedding when we drove back to Jake's house to make love.
Our house was lit up beautifully in the very early morning light that was just beginning to break over the mountains. Emmett handed us both a set of keys and wished us a good night (well in his own way he did) as we exited the car and practically ran to the front door. Jake caught up with me and hoisted me up into his arms to carry me over the threshold of our brand new house. This was the moment our lives and husband and wife would properly begin.
The hallways was covered in red rose petals, with tealight candles lining the path all the way up the stairs to our master bedroom. The journey to the room was not smooth at all, Jake's lips were attached to mine in a hungry kiss, our bodies would occasionally bump into walls and we'd break apart in fits of laughter as Jake tried to manoeuvre us around the unfamiliar house.
We found our room, the bed dowsed in petals and every surface in the room was again covered in candles. The lighting was so romantic, it kind of took my breath away. Alice really knew how to make moments so special. Jake placed me on my feet, letting me walk further into the room. The view was spectacular, a little more light was beginning to peak over the mountains, the darkness surrendered and every colour changed from tinges of charcoal to a vibrancy.
I then heard Jake's footsteps as he walked over behind me, his hands going to the buttons on my dress. I could feel my desire pooling between my legs as Jake leant in and kissed the back of neck and over my shoulders as he worked on the buttons. When he finally got them open I heard him suck in a harsh breath. "Oh my god," he said softly, seeing the lingerie underneath. I bit my lip, happy that he was enjoying the expensive lingerie I had chosen as he slowly peeled the dress off me, letting the straps run down my arms so my dress could pool at my feet. "Holy fuck, Aria."
"Do you like it?" I asked, turning around to face him so he could see the front, and just how good my boobs looked in this bra.
"I love what I see," Jake said in a low voice, his eyes on my chest before coaxing me to do a twirl for him. My whole body tensed as Jake pulled me forward then pushed me back so I fell back onto the bed and bounced a little bit. "I can't be bothered to take it slow," Jacob carried on and I was already panting with need as he pulled his suit shirt off without unbuttoning it. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to be inside you, baby."
My insides clenched and my heart beat faltered at his words. He had never been like this before. "Oh my god," I whimpered as he undid his belt from his suit pants and let them drop around his feet.
"Take your panties off," he demanded and I instantly did as I was told, hooking my fingers around the edge of the white lace and pulling them down my legs. I was dripping wet. "I'll appreciate those later, I just want to see you naked," he grinned, a little dark glint in his eye that made my body squeal in delight."Fuck me," he growled and grabbed my thighs, pulling me to the edge of the bed as he got down onto his knees.
I let out a little squeak of excitement and then gasped as his lips came into contact with my pussy within seconds, a long delighted moan flowing from my lips as his tongue slid up through my slit then flickered over my clit. He sucked hard, his lips closing around my sex, the pleasure ripping through my veins as I squirmed underneath him, tugging on his hair as he watched me. "Oh god, Jake, please," I whined, weaving my fingers through his hair again and tugging him closer, wanting to feel him everywhere as my free hand clutched my breast tightly.
He groaned deeply, the sound like music to my ears as his tongue slid through my slit again and neared my entrance. He teased his tongue inside of me, the feeling driving me crazy as I moaned freely, knowing no one could hear us. He retreated his tongue, his fingers sliding inside of me next, stretching me out. I gasped and arched my back as he pushed them deep inside, having no mercy with me as he let go and did what he wanted. "You're still so tight baby," Jake grunted, his voice deep and raspy. "Even after all the times we've fucked." He picked up the pace his fingers were fucking me at and I moaned loudly and squirmed again. "What is it baby?" Jake asked, knowing I wanted something more but he was going to make me ask for it.
"I want your..." I panted, feeling the prickles of sweat already forming on my chest. He hummed, pretending he had no idea what I was talking about and slowed down the pace his fingers entered me at. "I... I want your cock baby," I moaned. "Please." This was a whole new side to him and I was loving it.
"You want my cock?" Jacob repeated and I nodded eagerly then whined as he slid his fingers out of me. "Where?" He asked, a gasp leaving my lips as I felt his soft tip rubbing up through my slit then touching my clit. I could feel my sex throbbing with need as he teased me, rubbing the tip of his cock up and down over and over again without even sliding it in once.
"Jake," I moaned, beginning to get frustrated. The desire was burning inside of me and I could barely keep my eyes open, the lust was weighing my eyelids down... I needed him inside of me. I heard him chuckle and expected him to put up a fight because I yelled at him but he slid inside me without saying a word. I moaned and arched my back, clutching my chest and squeezing as he filled me up and began to move, his hips thrusting himself into me as he stood at the edge of the bed looking down at me lying underneath him. The pleasure was making my whole body burn in delight and satisfaction.
Jake let out a loud moan and pulled out sharply, making me whine in irritation. "Move back." He demanded and I got up and moved back on the bed so he could move over me. I welcomed him eagerly back to my body, my legs wrapped around the back of his thighs as he positioned himself at my entrance and pushed inside again, starting up his hard, fast thrusts, pushing his cock deeper than before and sending me up onto cloud nine.
I moaned, dragging my nails down his back and making him shiver, his eyelids getting heavier as he took in a deep breath whilst he slowed his pace down. I don't know why, but it is so hot to me when he can't control himself during sex. I love making him lose his mind to make him cum fast or slow down because he wants to make it last and can't...
"I know you want to cum," I whispered to him and he tensed up, his pace slowing down completely so a gentle, steady rhythm, "I love it when you do," I purred and he covered my mouth and I giggled behind the palm of his hand.
I switched onto my front and put my ass up in the air, bringing my knees up slowly underneath then shaking it for him. He pushed inside me again and I cried out, grasping the sheets either side of me and tugging. Jake grunted, pleasure present in his voice as he fucked me from behind.
I moaned, pushing my ass back against him, the pleasure was just so intense. He just felt so good...
I slid him out and turned around, pushing him sideways and watching him lie on his back as I moved over his legs, he was panting excitedly his eyes a little wide as held the base of his cock at my entrance and lowered my ass down so he slid inside in one go. Jacob let out a long moan and let his head fall back a little as I began to ride him, the moans flowing from my lips at the same pace as my thrusts. "Oh baby," Jake moaned, his hands finding my hips. He let out a long moan and began thrusting his hips up underneath me, his drive to reach his climax becoming obvious as I rode him faster, both our moans becoming louder and longer.
"Fucking hell, Ari." He groaned loudly as I rode him faster and pressed my nails into his chest, feeling my orgasm rising from my toes. I was panting like crazy, my hair falling around my shoulders in a thick wavy mass. I flicked it back and away from my face as Jake sat up, pressing his upper body against mine as he reached behind me and unclipped the bra in one go, he slid the straps off and pulled the whole thing off in a few seconds, leaving me completely naked for his eyes only. "You are so beautiful," he purred, the lust and love evident in his eyes as our hands linked.
"So are you," I almost moaned, looking into his gorgeous eyes as they gazed at me. I leant in and pressed my lips against his. We kissed immediately, deep open mouthed kisses with my hands tangled in his hair, his hands on my ass encouraging me to go faster. He slapped my ass again and I moaned loudly into the kiss and tugged on his hair, wanting him to know that I really liked it when he did that. I liked it so much that a few seconds later I was gasping for air as an orgasm washed through my body, every other emotion and feeling consumed by pleasure as my thighs trembled. "O-Oh my god," I moaned, rotating my hips in a circle so that I could get every last bit...
Jake groaned and held me still, his cock throbbing hard inside of me as he came, spurting his warm cum deep. We kissed again as we both came down from our highs, our hearts beating hard and fast together, our bodies both sprinkled in sex sweat... I flopped to the side and lay on my back, running a hand through my hair and letting out a huge sigh of content... "Holy shit." Jake whispered, lying down next to me. "I think that's the best sex we've ever had."
"Me too." I panted, looking to the side and meeting his eyes, the eyes of my husband. I always loved the way they glowed after sex... And it makes me so, so happy to know I'll be able to see that for the rest of our perfect eternity together.
