Our own paths
The Night Lights were running around the village as some children were chasing them, Olaf was sitting with the younger kids as they pulled his arms off and stuck them in different places.
"Hey, let me ask you, how do you guys cope with the ever-increasing complexity of thought that comes with maturity?" Olaf asks when one of the girls pulled Olaf's nose off and stuck it up her own. "Brilliant!" He says as a boy pushed his hand through his head and the snowman winced.
"It's so refreshing to talk to the youth of today. Our futures in bright hands." The kids continued to pull Olaf apart. "Oh no don't chew that, you don't know what I've stepped in." A boy began to lick Olaf's foot when the snowman told him off.
Kristoff, Ryder, Sven, and Hookfang walked past the kids, while he was telling Ryder his several failed attempts to propose to Anna.
"I can't seem to get her attention. Or even say the right thing." Kristoff hung his head and Hookfang nudged his friend. "I mean, Hiccup can talk to Elsa just fine." He nodded over to the Auburn-haired man who's sitting with Honeymarron and Elsa with their Furies watching their children. "Why can't I talk to Anna like that?"
Sven huffed at his friend as did Hookfang.
"Well, you're in luck. I know nothing about woman, but I do know that we have the most amazing way of proposing." Ryder says and Kristoff lit up at the idea.
"If we start now, we'll be ready before dawn." Ryder told him as the two of them stopped walking.
"Really?" Kristoff asks as Ryder put his hand on his shoulder and began walking them.
"Best part, it involves a lot of reindeer." Ryder whispered to his new friend as Sven and Hookfang looked at the two if them weirdly.

Mattias, Anna, and Stormfly stood outside the village drinking from a set of mugs.
"Hey back at home, Helen still over at Hudson's Hearth?" Mattias asked Anna while Stormfly was sniffing the man.
"She is," Anna answered, scratching Stormfly on the chin.
"Really? She married?" Mattias quickly took a sip of his drink.
"No, she's not." Anna smiled, knowing where this conversation was going.
"Oh wow, why didn't that make me feel better?" Mattias looked off into the distance, Stormfly nudged him and the Lieutenant smiled at the curious Nadder.
"What else do you miss?" Anna asked him as Matiass stopped patting Stormfly and looked towards her.
"My father, he passed long before all this. He was a great man. Built us a good life in Arendelle, but taught me to never take the good for granted," Mattias stated while holding his mug out. "He'd say, be prepared just when you think you've found your way life will throw you onto a new path." He gestured down to the village.
"What do you do when it does?" Anna asked him while looking down at Hiccup and her sister.
"Don't give up, take it one step at a time and..." Matiass turned to her and smiled.
"Just do the next right thing." Anna finished his sentence with a grin.
"You got it, so what's with the man following the Queen?" Maria's gestured to Hiccup.
"Oh, Hiccup. he was a childhood friend of ours." Anna told him while drinking her drink. "A few years back, he was living with dragons, learning to be the prince of dragons. Then three years ago, he returned to Arendelle and he now lives with us with his friend, Heather."
Matiass looked down at the Prince, and could tell that this man was something different.

Elsa, Hiccup, Honeymarron, and the adult Furies were sitting around a fire, laughing at something Hiccup said.
"I want to show you two something, may I?" Honeymarron gestured to the scarf sitting on Elsa's lap and the Queen passed her the scarf.
The girl picked up one of the corners, stitched on it was each of the elements, jutting out from it and circled around the design was the Foreverwing.
"You know air, fire, water, and earth." Honey matron pointed to each element.
"Yeah?" Elsa answered while patting Liry on the head.
"But look there's two more spirits, you have been called by the Foreverwing and then in the centre is the fifth spirit." Hiccup ran his finger along the outline of his Grandfather and smiled.
"The Foreverwing is said to be the protector of the spirits and the only dragon that can create life." Hiccup looked at Honeymarron with wide eyes, his father had only given him a vague idea of what his Grandfather was like and what he was hearing made him more nervous to meet the immortal creature.
"The fifth spirit is also described to be the bridge between us and the magic of nature." Elsa smiled at her new friend as Liry crooned for her rider to continue scratching her head which she does.
"A fifth spirit," Elsa stated while looking at Hiccup.
"Some say they heard it, and the Foreverwing called out to it the day the forest fell." Honeymarron held her hands in the air, Toothless warbled and the Northuldra girl scratched him behind the ear.
"My father heard it. Do you think the fifth spirit is the one calling me?" Elsa asked Honeymarron who smiled back at her.
"Mayby. Alas only Attahallen knows." Elsa and Hiccup giggled at her comment.
"Attahallen. Dive down deep into her sound." Hiccup and Elsa sang while holding hands.
"But not too far or you'll be drowned." All three of them sang, the Furies looked at their riders and gave a confused look.
"Why do your lullabies have to have terrible warnings in them?" Hiccup asked.
"I wonder that all the time," Honeymarron answered and looks away.
Hiccup smiles at Elsa and reached for the ring box in his satchel and decided to make his move while he had the chance.
"Uh, Elsa, I have something to ask you, we have been dating for three years now and I would like to..." Before Hiccup could finish a loud thud echoed through the forest.
The dragons stood up, alert and ready to fire at whatever was coming their way. Above them, they could see ten or more dragons fly around searching the land below, as if they were looking for something.
"Earth Giants. And it looks like the Sentinels are with them," Honeymarron stated while standing up next to the dragons.
"What are they doing down here?" Yilana questioned as the tribe doused the fires with water and closed the doors to the huts.
The children hid under Stormfly as she crooned at them to stay quiet and the Nadder stood still to try and blend in.
Heather ran to Windshear with another group of children to hide under her wings that thanks to her scales, blended into the environment.
"Hide!" Honeymarron told Hiccup and Elsa and the two of them put their backs to a tree and Toothless covered them with his wings.
Anna hid next to Stormfly and looked over a boulder, trying to see where Hiccup and Elsa were.
Olaf and the Night Lights hid behind a tree just as Bruni came up beside them, looking to curious for comfort.
Bruni set himself on fire and the Lights crooned at him to stop, Olaf tried blowing the fire out but it just made it worse.
Olaf picked the salamander up and his hand caught on fire, Bruni climbed up the snowman's arm and sat in his head.
"This is why we don't play with fire! Oh, I can't say mad at you. Why are you so cute?" Bruni spread out on Olaf's head as the giants and Sentinels got closer.
Hiccup and Elsa peered out from Toothless' wing and gasped at the size of the giants.
Hiccup's eyes began glowing red and orange, and the Sentinels sense his presence, flying down to him.
"Hiccup, stop. You're drawing them to us." Toothless warned his ride/brother just as Hiccup's eyes stopped glowing.
"Oh, sorry that I can't control this new power which I have only just discovered." Hiccup retorted back sarcastically as the giants looked down at the sudden sound and they shut up.
The giant shrugged and continued plodding away with the Sentinels following behind. Elsa and Hiccup climbed out from under Toothless' wings and walked towards the retreating creatures.
Before they could go any further, Anna and Stormfly stopped them as Stormfly glared at Hiccup.
"What?" Hiccup asked the anger Nadder, confused why she's acting like this.
"Please tell me you two were not about to follow them." Anna told her sister and Hiccup as they kneeled down on the ground.
"What if we could settle them like the wind and fire?" Hiccup stated, looking back up in their direction, feeling like he's being pulled in their direction.
"Or what if they could crush you before you get the chance?" Anna asked them. "Remember, the goal is to find your grandfather and the voice, find the truth, and gets us home." Anna told them, Hiccup sighed as Olaf and Bruni came over with the Night Lights and Heather.
"Hey guys, that was close." Olaf pointed out as Bruni jumped down from his head.
"We know the Sentinels sensed this new power of mine, so they may come back here." Hiccup announced, he was looking at his hands trying to figure out what was happening to him. He had control over his powers for over fifteen years. Now, he's been burnt, calling dragons uncontrollably; something is definitely wrong with his abilities.
"We can't put anyone at risk. And you're right, Anna. We've got to find the voice." Elsa took Hiccup's hand and began walking as their Furies followed along with their children.
"Okay, we're going. Let me just...wait where's Kristoff, Sven, and Hookfang?" Anna asked, looking around for them and can't see the three.
"He's a big dragon, you can just loose someone like that." Heather says, looking for Hookfang, and even she can't see him.
"Oh, yeah. I think they went off with that Ryder guy and a bunch of reindeer." Olaf pointed out while smiling.
"They left? Just left without saying anything?" Anna looked up at Stormfly as Olaf walked past.
"Who knows the ways of men?" Olaf declared in an ominous voice.
Anna looked back at the village one last time before catching up to everyone.

"Am I supposed to feel this ridiculous?" Kristoff asks Ryder as he's standing on two rocks, surrounded by reindeer while Hookfang was laying down off to the side, wanting to see how this turns out or backfires on them.
"Oh, yeah. Definitely." Ryder assures him.
"Everyone ready?" Kristoff asks.
"Ready. I could use a rehearsal." Ryder says as the reindeer. "I love love."
"Wait. You talk for them, too?" Kristoff asks him.
"I do." Ryder replies.
"It's like you can actually hear what they're thinking." Kristoff says.
"Yeah and then you just say it." Ryder stood next to one of the reindeer.
"And then you just say it. I mean, where I come from, not a lot of people do it except Hiccup with the dragons." Kristoff pointed out while looking over at Hookfang.
"I think it's because he can actually understand them." Ryder nodded while holding a basket.
Suddenly, they hear rustling in the distance and everyone looked at the path leading up to where they were.
"Oh, here she comes." Ryder opened the basket and purple butterflies flew out and circled Kristoff.
Sven stamped his hooves down on a plank of wood and a basket of leaves flew up into the air and fell over his friend, Hookfang blew into a pale of water and steam flew out.
"Princess Anna of Arendelle, my feisty, fearless, ginger sweet love, will you marry me?"Kristoff proclaimed, once he opened his eyes he saw Yilana standing in front of him, confused as can be.
"Um, no. The Princess left with the Queen and Prince." Yilana held her hands behind her back as she spoke to him.
"What, wait, what? What?!" Kristoff jumped down from the rock that he was standing on and walked up to her.
"I wouldn't try to follow them, they're long gone." Yilana told him as Kristoff looked down at the ground as Hookfang came over.
"Long gone?" Kristoff repeated as Hookfang crooned sadly for his friend.
"So, um, were heading west to the Lichen Meadows, you can come with us if you want." Yilana offered and walked away and Kristoff stood there shocked.
"Hey, I'm really sorry," Ryder told Kristoff.
"No, it's fine." Kristoff quickly told him, lowering his head slightly.
"Yeah, I better go pack, you coming with?" Ryder pointed towards the village.
"I'll just...meet you there." Kristoff started to scratch Hookfang as Sven walked over.
"You know where you're going right?" Ryder asked him with a smile.
"Yep, I know the woods." Kristoff turned back to his friend as Ryder left.
Kristoff sat down on a boulder and sighed, Sven came over plonking on the ground in front of him.
Sven and Hookfang whined at their friend trying to cheer him up, but Kristoff just sighed.
"Reindeer's are better than people. Sven, why is love so hard?" Kristoff sang as the light changed and Sven smiled.
"You feel what, what you feel and those feeling are real." Sven sang to his friend, Kristoph looked at the reindeer weirdly.
"Come on, Kristoff. Let down your guard." Hookfang told his friend while growing nodding.
Kristoff stood up as the dragon and reindeer gestured their heads to a tree nearby. He walked over to it and sighed, leant against the tree while looking up at the sky.
"Again, your gone. Off on a different path mine." Kristoff confessed looking behind him.
"I'm left behind, wondering if I should follow." Kristoff looked out into the distance and bowed his head.
"You had to go. And, of course, it's always fine. I probably could catch up with you tomorrow." Kristoff looked up at a pine cone and closed his eyes.
"But is this what it feels like to be growing apart? When did I become the one who's always chasing your heart?" Kristoff held his hands to his chest and sang up into the sky.
"Now I turn around and find I am lost in the woods." Kristoph, Sven, and Hookfang harmonized together.
"North is south, right is left when you're gone." Kristoff walked away from his two friends and sighed.
"I'm the one who sees you home. But now I'm lost in the woods. And I don't know what path you are on." Kristoff stood in the centre of a crossroads and tried to make sense of where he should go.
"Lost in the woods. Up till now the next step was a question of how. I never thought it was a question of whether." Kristoff thought back to the first time he met Anna in Oaken's store with Hiccup.
"Who am I if I'm not your guy? Where am I if we're not together, forever?" Kristoff remembered his first kiss with Anna as he stood there sighing.
"Now I know you're my true North, cause I'm lost in the woods." Kristoff sang with Sven and Hookfang as they sat to the side.
"Up is down, day is night when you're not there." Kristoff danced around a group of trees and frowned.
"Oh, you're my only landmark. So I'm lost in the woods. Wondering if you care." Hookfang and Sven walked up behind the broken-hearted man and sang with him.
"But I'll wait. For a sign that I'm your path, cause you are mine. Until then I'm lost in the woods." Kristoff looked at at the sky and held his heart.
"I'm lost in the woods, in the woods, in the woods." Kristoff was sitting on Sven's back and Hookfang followed behind.
"I'm lost in the woods." Kristoff sat back down on the boulder as Hookfang and Sven sat near him.
