You were....weak....well, weak is an understatement.

You slowly woke up, back in the infirmary, you were covered in scars and burn marks and your vision was blurry...you heard beeping noises.

"He's alive!." You heard someone shout, you slowly turned your head and saw Cassie, smiling as several people ran into the room. Sonya, Kitana, Jacqui, Jax, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and even Johnny, but he was walking and had a smirk on his face.

"You alright, chosen one?." The actor smiled. "You're looking a bit burned up..."

"Dad..." Cassie glared at her father. "Shut. Up."

"What, I'm just saying-" Johnny smirked before Sonya slapped him across the face.

"You've said enough!." She then looked over at you. "How do you feel?..."

You tried to give a nod to Sonya but you couldn't even do that, as if your day couldn't get worse, Raiden walked into the room.

"Has he awoken?." Raiden looked over at you, Sonya glared at the thunder god, getting in front of him.

"Why, so you can inflict more unnecessary damage on him?."

"I'm assessing his injuries, Sonya Blade." Raiden looked past the general and walked right up to your bed. "Y/n L/n."

You slowly turned your head to look at him.

"I would like to apologize for my anger earlier, I did not wish to harm you-"

"I did-" Johnny smirked before Liu Kang backhanded him, knocking his shades off his head.

"Anyway..." lighting appeared in Raiden's hands and your eyes widened. "I will bring your recovery to an end."

Raiden put his hands on your arm and suddenly after a few seconds, all your pain went away

"How do you feel?." The Thunder God asked you.

"I still feel some pain..."

"Give it time, your legs may not be moveable for a few days-"

"Great, I can get some target practice in for Ninja Mime 5-" Johnny smiled before Kung Lao backhanded him this time.

"For the meantime, it would be best for you to rest." Fujin nodded, looking at you. "You'll need to be at full strength so you can train again."

"...Great, more training..."

"Come on man..." Cassie smiled, patting your shoulder. "You need it." She quickly snapped a selfie with you in the hospital bed. "Oh my gosh, this is going to look so good for my social."

"Social what?..." Liu Kang looked confused.

"Let's just let him rest for now." Kung Lao left the room, patting his friend on the back.

"Is there a social gathering in those small tvs they have?." Liu Kang asked from outside the door.

"Hey Man." Jax smirked. "I know you aren't able to move but we got you a little something."

"Is it a get-out-of-training free card, I could use that right now." You looked up the cybernetic man who laughed.

"Nah, but we got you something cool." Jax then looked over to Cassie who had a box, she opened it and it showed a (favorite color) jacket (like the one Johnny wore) but with your initials in fancy gold letters on the back of it, as well as a pair of combat pants, boots and combat gloves.

"Aww...you shouldn't have..." you smiled.

"It also comes with a gun and knife." Cassie twirled your gun around smirking, the gun also had a (favorite color) print on the grip and your initials engraved on the barrel.

"Gimmie!.." you reached out for the gun

Timeskip...

You heard people talking from the next room, two people you've never heard before.

"Let's just get the guy and get the hell out of here." one guy said from down the hall.

"Aw, come on mate, let's see if Sonya's still awake, I'm sure she'll be in for a treat when she sees me." A man with an Australian accent chuckled as he walked next to the other guy.

You, knowing full well your knees were still not fully recovered got out of bed and hobbled to the door, which was opened by the guy with the Aussie accent.

"Oh, hello there fella, looks like you are up and about after all." The man smirked. "Well, that makes our job easier." the guy then punched you right in the eye and you stumbled back, but surprisingly kept your balance, you pulled out the combat knife with your dominant hand and pointed it at the man.

"Who are you!?." You glared at the attacker who smirked.

"You call that a knife?." He laughed then pulled out a larger knife. "Now this, this is a knife."

You remember that Sonya had taught you how to do all sorts of holds and armbars as well as blocking, since your legs were weak, you then taunted the smirking man.

"Come at me then, or are you afraid to make the first move?." You saw him snarl.

"I'm not afraid of anything you yubbar!." He then rushed at you with his knife, ready to stab you, which you avoided and headbutted him, however, he headbutted you back and with his metal eye, it made your head hurt like hell.

You rubbed your temple and looked up in enough time to see him charging at you, you avoided a big boot and began punching him in the jaw, trying to knock him off his feet, he took the punches and still stayed standing and went for a right hook of his own, you narrowly avoid it and back up before he grappled you and slammed you onto the ground, damaging your back.

"You are sure a lucky bloke..." he laughed. "The big guy wants you alive and he's paying me to take you too him-"

"You aren't the only one, asshole." you see another man enter the room, he was wearing a mask that covered the front of his face as well as two swords attached to his back.

"So..." he looked at the Aussie then pointed to you "This the guy?."

"Yep, thanks for the help by the way." He rolled his eyes.

"I found the place, asshole, you just drank the entire way here-"

"It's hot out here in the middle of the desert mate, gotta stay hydrated somehow-"

"You drank only BB's-"

While the two began arguing you used this opportunity to stab the cyber-eye man in the leg, making him drop to one knee, you then pulled out your pistol and fired several shots at the masked man who avoided them with ease, you hobbled out of the room, trying to find the others.

"Cassie, Sonya, Kitana, Kang-Where the hell is everyone!?." You shouted before the masked guy ran at you, you sidestepped and he right into the wall, knocking himself out. "Well, that happened, but where is everyone!?-"

You then scream out in pain as a bullet enters your right leg and you fall on the ground, dropping your gun and holding your leg.

"Oh...sorry about that friend..." A voice spoke out from the shadows, you looked up and saw a man twirling a six-shooter revolver.

"Just I'm just a better shot."

"Who the fuck are you, cowboy?..." You looked up confused.

"Nobody important, just the guy that's taking you in, after all, you're wanted."

You looked at your gun on the ground and tried to grab it but the cowboy stomped on your hand, you felt your fingers break from the impact and groaned in pain.

"If I were you, I'd reckon I'd keep my mouth shut, I'd hate to give Shao Khan your head in a box-"

"Shao Khan?..." you looked confused.

"Damn straight, he wanted to see what the deal is with you, after hearing about your little "run in" with that sorcerer guy and then having two demi-gods step in to protect you...you must be a prized pony if that's the case."

You pulled out your knife to stab him but he shot it out of your hands and kicked you right in the nose, causing it to both break and start bleeding.

"Oops...my bad." he chuckled as he holstered his six-shooter.

"Oi!." The Aussie shouted from down the hall, limping. "Did you get him?."

"Yep, the job's done." The cowboy answered. "now, pick him up."

"Why the hell do I gotta carry him?." The other guy said.

"Because I caught the bastard...and you two..." you pointed at the masked guy and then his friend. "were as useful as an accordion player on a deer hunt."

The cowboy walked away and the assuie man groaned and lifted you up on his shoulders, while the masked guy just got up.

"Did we get him?." he asked holding his head.

"Yeah, now come on, the sooner we get him there, the sooner we get paid." The guy carrying you smirked. "I'm gonna need to repay you for that knife found, mate...."

You looked around confused before the cowboy smiled.

"Oh and if you are wondering where are your friends are." he pointed to another room, Jax was knocked out in a chair, Jacqui was on the ground, Cassie and Sonya were next to each other, Liu Kang were on the control table, his head had been busted open, Kung Lao was underneath the table, he had a bad cut on his face, and Johnny...was on his phone, unharmed.

"So, is Ninja Mime Five Happening-Oh, hold on." He hung up his phone and walked over. "So, you got him, we're good, right?."

"Yeah, thanks for the tip." The guy carrying you smirked. "Now, about our cut-"

"it's already been wired to your accounts-" Johnny smirked before looking at you. "Oh and you are being replaced..."chosen one" so have fun with your new friends."

"FUCK YOU!." You tried to grab Cage. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!!."

The masked man, cowboy and Aussie left the base with you now in their clutches with Cage smirking.

"Good luck with that-"

That's when the door opened and Raiden and Fujin walked in.

"What happened!?." Fujin looked around.

"....Where's Y/n?..." Raiden looked around as well before setting his sights on Cage.
