Gabrielle Verona Petito was on a trip with Brian Laundrie. Their vacation started on July 2nd of 2021. And now they're in Bridger-Teton National Forest in Teton County Wyoming. However, Gabby remembered how mean Brian was while they were in Utah. He had slapped her and then tried to leave her for dead while attempting to take her cellphone with him. Even though she was happy that they moved on from that particular incident, Gabby was still wary of her so called fiancé. She was beginning to regret meeting him for she had no idea that he was so abusive. In fact, Gabby is now starting to wish that she met someone better. Brian seemed to notice these thoughts and he was not happy. It didn't take long for Brian to realize that Gabby knows he's trying to rob her and will not hesitate to kill her if he must. But now that his plan has been discovered, Brian realizes that he has to kill Gabby. He grabs her by the throat and starts to strangle her. Gabby tries to fight back, but Brian beats her badly before going back to choking her. However, before he could grab her neck, Gabby managed to cry for help.

"No one's gonna hear you out here, bitch. Now shut up and die!" Brian yelled.

But suddenly, they heard the sound of a car screeching to a stop.

Gabby and Brian both turned to the source of the noise and saw that a blue 1996 Corvette Grand Sport pulled up. The driver's side window was rolled down, which meant that someone did hear Gabby screaming for help.

The driver's side door opened, and a young Caucasian male climbed out of the car. The young man appeared to be 23 years old and his blue eyes were narrowed into an intense glare. Before Brian could say anything, the newcomer charged forward and leaps into the air. Gabby could only watch as Brian was knocked away from her with a Dropkick.

"Orya!"

Gabby coughed as she stood up and caught her breath. This mysterious stranger was protecting her. His black hair was quite spiky. He stood 6'4" tall and was very muscular. He wore a solid blue button-up shirt, dark denim jeans with a brown leather belt, and black leather boots. He also had a silver cross around his neck.

He turns his attention to Gabby.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes. I'm alright. Thank you." Gabby replied.

As Gabby stared at her protector, Brian got back on his feet and rushed forward, while the stranger got into a stance and prepared for a fight.

"彼女を放っておけ！" The strange man yelled angrily. (Kanojo o hanatte oke!- Translation from Japanese: Leave her alone!)

"Get out of my way! I'm gonna kill that bitch!" He screamed.

Gabby's heart sank when she heard these words. All this time, Brian had never loved her. He only wanted to kill Gabby and take her belongings for himself.

"私はそうは思わない。お前 の 定め は 俺 が 決める。" The stranger said. (Watashi wa sō wa omowanai. Omae no sadame wa ore ga kimeru.- Translation: I don't think so. I will decide your fate.)

He jumped off the ground and hit Brian in the chest with a Spinning Back Kick.

"TORYA!!!"

While Brian stumbled back, his opponent rushed forward and hit him in the face with his right elbow.

Before Brian could react, the stranger hits him with a Roundhouse kick before knocking him down by smashing his kneecap into the side of his head.

"彼女から離れてください！" He yelled angrily. (Kanojo kara hanarete kudasai!- Translation: Stay away from her!)

The young man turned to Gabby.

"Gather your stuff and put it into my car! Quickly!" He said.

Gabby didn't have to be told twice. She ran for the van that she bought and quickly gathered up her belongings. Gabby wasted no time in loading her stuff into the trunk of the blue Corvette sitting next to the van. As soon as she loaded the last of her belongings into the car, Gabby felt Brian wrap his arms around her neck as he tried to strangle her again.

"Don't even try running away! I will not let you escape!" Brian yelled.

She tried to fight back, but there was nothing she could do. Just when all seemed lost, Gabby heard the sound of Brian screaming in pain while his arms were pulled off of her neck.

"彼女を手放す！" The stranger screamed angrily. (Kanojo o tebanasu!- Translation: LET HER GO!)

She turned around to see that the handsome stranger was pulling Brian's arms behind him and smashed his kneecap into Laundrie's spine. Brian was thrown into a tree like a ragdoll. As he tried to stand, his opponent rushed forward and began to land a flurry of attacks. While Brian was dazed, Gabby's protector lands a Spinning Hook Kick and knocks him down.

The young man closed the trunk of his car and looked at Gabby with concern.

"Come with me if you want to live." He said.

Gabby looked at Brian for a minute and glared at him.

"I can't believe that all you wanted was to rob me! But none of that matters now! Because you and I are through! I never want to see you again!" She yelled angrily, before taking off her engagement ring and throwing it at Brian.

Gabby got into the passenger's seat of her protector's corvette while he climbed into the driver's seat. The young man put his foot on the gas and peeled out of the campground, leaving a trail of smoke in his wake. While they drove off, Gabby smiled at the stranger who had just saved her life.

"Thank you. I had no idea that all Brian wanted to do was to rob me of everything I had. But it doesn't matter. I broke up with him before you and I left. Although, we haven't been properly introduced. My name is Gabrielle Verona Petito. But you can call me Gabby." She said.

The young man looked at her and smiled back.

"Nice to meet you Gabby. My name's Nero." He replied.

"I am pleasured to meet you, Nero." Gabby said.

Suddenly Nero looked into his rearview mirror and saw that a white 2012 Ford Transit Van was chasing them.

The van was being driven by Gabby's ex-boyfriend.

"まだ終わっていません。" Nero said.

Gabby looked confused.

"What did you just say?" She asked.

"That was Japanese for: It's not over yet." Nero answered.

"He is relentless isn't he?" Gabby asked.

"Don't worry. I can lose him." Nero replied.

Nero turned on the radio and it played Devils Never Cry from Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Nero sped through the forest and made his way to the exit with Brian in hot pursuit. Nobody was in the guard post, but there was no time to stop. Nero sped right by the guard post and headed for the city. Brian did everything he could to keep up. He wanted to make Gabby pay for breaking up with him. But Nero was proving to be an incredibly skilled driver. He was drifting corners like they were nothing. Eventually, Nero came to an alleyway.

"He's still after us!" Gabby said.

"Not for much longer." Nero replied, as he pointed at a ramp up ahead.

Gabby looked at the ramp and was shocked when she realized what Nero had in mind.

"Are you crazy? We'll never make it." She said.

"Don't worry, we'll make it. I modified this car, so she's got a few tricks up her sleeves." Nero replied with a smirk as he popped open a lid on the clutch, revealing a red button.

Nero and Gabby were getting close to the ramp as Nero prepared to push the red button.

"Hang on tight Gabby. Because here we go!" He said.

Nero pushed the button and his Corvette shot forward while flames were shown at the end of his exhaust pipes. The Corvette sailed off into the air and Nero looked out his window as Brian prepared to go over the ramp. Nero watched as Brian failed to make the jump and crashed into a wall.

"さよなら!" He said. (Translation: Goodbye!)

While Nero and Gabby escaped, Brian was immediately arrested by some undercover cops nearby. One of the officers was Braedey Martin. His girlfriend Jasmine was with him. Their patrol vehicle was a futuristic sports car.

Eventually, they arrived at Nero's mansion in Brooklyn New York.

Gabby was happy to be safe. And although she had only just met Nero, she liked him. Gabby called her family to let them know of what happened between her and Brian. Her parents were angry to find out that Brian tried to kill Gabby, but they were happy to know that she was safe. Gabby let them talk to Nero who promised that she would be safe with him. Gabby's father said that he was perfectly fine with his daughter living with Nero. He promised to bring the rest of her stuff from Brian's house. Gabby told her father that she wasn't just safe with Nero. She is also quite happy with him. In fact, she revealed her feelings for the young man, and these feelings had started to form themselves when he saved her from Brian. Her father told Gabby that it was okay. He didn't care about where she was, as long as she's safe. After thanking her father and hanging up, Gabby turned her attention to Nero and hugged him. Nero was initially surprised by this, but he wrapped his arms around Gabby and returned the hug.

"I know this seems sudden, but I can't thank you enough for saving me. My friends were right. My relationship with Brian really was toxic." She said timidly.

But Nero responded with a reassuring smile.

"It's okay Gabby. I understand. If you want to live here with me, I'm cool with that. Besides, I've got plenty of stuff to do around here." He said.

That night, Nero and Gabby joined each other in the master bedroom.

Gabby wore a solid white nightgown while Nero sported solid black pajama pants. He was completely shirtless, but Gabby didn't care. She loved what she was seeing.

"Has anyone ever told you that you are a handsome hunk? I mean seriously. You're built like a tank." Gabby said.

Nero chuckled.

"I workout every muscle in my body, three hours a day." He said.

"You mean, you workout every day for three hours? That's insane." Gabby replied.

"Yes. But it's worth it. And part of my workout routine consists of practicing martial arts." Nero said.

Gabby smiled. She admired a man who keeps himself in shape.

"I guess you're right. I look forward to seeing what sort of entertainment your house has to offer." She said.

She smiled as Nero climbed into bed next to her.

"I've got plenty of fun stuff to do at my place. And you'll love it here." Nero said.

"I'm sure I will. Well, goodnight Nero." Gabby replied.

"Goodnight my friend. I shall see you in the morning." Nero said.

Nero and Gabby hugged one another and fell asleep in each other's warm embrace. They didn't care about being pressed up against each other. Unknown to Nero, Gabby was in love with him and was waiting for the perfect moment to admit her true feelings for him.
