[Third Person Pov]

The Ruby ship landed on Homeworld. Goofball immediately zoomed out and hugged the ground.

Goofball: Oh, I missed you Homeworld! Did you miss me?

Ash: Are you talking to the ground?

Goofball: Yes...yes I am....what of it?

Ash just shrugged and walked off.

Goofball: Thanks for the help!

The other Rubies came out.

Goofball: Well, that was fun, which is shocking beacuse stealth missions aren't fun! You all did well!

Leggy: Uh...thanks......so uh....are we gonna do it now or....

Goofball: What? ...Oh! Right!

Goofball took her hand.

Goofball: Allow me to provide you with a lovely night only fitting for a beautiful woman such as yourself M'lady.

Leggy: *blushes* O-Oh, thank you....

Goofball: Let's go!

Goofball and Leggy walked away. Navy started to follow them.

Eyeball: Uh, where are you going?

Navy: Oh! Me? I'm just uh...going sight seeing...yeah....

Then she got an idea.

Navy: (If I can get them to help me, I could shift the blame onto them! Less competition...yes....) Well uh, actually, I'm planning on messing up the date.

Rubies: WHAT?!

Navy: And I need you three to help me.

Doc: What?! You want us to help you ruin Goofball's date?

Eyeball: And have him be mad at us? Yeah right!

Army: You can go, and have him hate you forever.

Navy: Oh ok, I guess without your help, they're just be together forever.

Army: Wait what?

Navy: Yeah, he'll be all like, "Wow Leggy, this was am amazing date! I want to be with you forever! Let's go tell the other Rubies and makeout in front of them. And you know what? Let me carry you, because I'm just that nice."

The Rubies looked at eachother.

Navy: But, you're ok with that right? You don't want to help after all.

She started walking away.

Rubies: WAIT!

A small smile appeared on Navy's face and she turned to them.

Navy: Hmmmmm, yes?

~~~With Goofball And Leggy

Goofball and Leggy were walking around holding hands. Leggy was looking everywhere but at Goofball.

Goofball: Man, Homeworld can be a bit of a lame place sometimes but, the stars are always pretty, right Leggy?

Leggy: ...Huh? Wha?

Goofball stopped moving and looked at Leggy. She blushed deeply and looked away from him. Goofball put his hand of her cheek and make her look at him, making her blush harder.

Goofball: Come on Leggy, I know you're smart. You can't let your shyness get in the way of that. You're smart and beautiful, you just gotta be confident too.

Leggy: O-Oh...thanks...ok, I'll try.

The rest of the Rubies watched from a distance.

Doc: What's happening now?

Goofball: Maybe this'll boost your confidence.

He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. She froze for a sec before a smile appeared on her face.

Rubies: [Internal Jealous Screaming]

Leggy: Oh wow.....thanks for that, that was...nice.

Goofball: See! Even your stutter's gone!

Leggy: M-M-My what?

Goofball: Aaaaaand it's back.

Leggy: O-Oh, sorry.

Goofball: Don't worry, we'll work on that. Shall we continue?

Leggy smiled.

Leggy: Yeah...let's go.

Goofball smiled back and the two started walking again.

Eyeball: Grr......what's the plan?

Navy: Hm.....oh! Ok, listen up.

Leggy: ...Hey Goofball?

Goofball: Yeah?

Leggy: How do you do it?

Goofball: Do what?

Leggy: Like...you're happy, all the time. But you always get pushed around or made fun of, and males don't have the best reputation.

Goofball thought for a moment.

Goofball: ...Well, I just like to focus on the positives more than the negatives. Plus, I just want others to be happy. Can't really do that if I'm big grouch can I?

Leggy: Huh...I guess not....

Goofball smiled at her, but it quickly faded. The others found a big rock to throw at Leggy.

Navy: On three ok?

Goofball: But...it's hard being happy....

Doc: Wait!

Goofball: I like being happy, I like others being happy...but I would be lying of I said that I'm always happy. I mean, come on, I was born in a middle of a war for Diamond's sake. It's kinda hard to positive when there's mass genocide everywhere I go. And yes, I am a male gem just to add to it. *sigh* But of anything...I'm scared.

Leggy: Huh? Of what?

Goofball: ......

Leggy: Of what Goofball?

He looked away slightly.

Leggy: Come of what?

Goofball: Of losing you all ok?!

Leggy jumped a bit.

Goofball: Sorry I...I didn't mean to yell.

Eyeball: Losing us? What is he talking about?

Goofball: ...So many gems are dying in this war, all because of a selfish Rose Quartz. I'm just scared that...one of you will be shattered...and I couldn't do a thing about it. The one time I'm not fast or strong enough to save you....

He looked down sadly.

Goofball: That's my biggest fear...when my best...isn't enough....

Goofball started to tear up a bit.

Army: Oh.....Goofball....

Goofball: Oh heh, sorry. This is a date, not sad depressing talk time....heh.

He wiped the tears away and smiled. But, it looked fake and forced. Leggy didn't like seeing him like this and it was weird. He was always the happy goofy one, but here....he's just so...sad. She...she had to something. The tears started flowing out of Goofball's eyes again and he stopped smiling. Ok, yeah, she HAD to do something.

Leggy: (...Just be confident, just be confident, just be....oh!) ...Goofball?

Goofball: ...Hm?

Leggy: I...think I have an idea.

She took both his hands, and started to slowly guide him somewhere.

Navy: Wait...where are she going with my Goofball?

Army: Your Goofball?

Doc: Follow them!

Goofball had no idea where Leggy was taking him, but he trusted her. Eventually after what felt like aged, Leggy stopped somewhere with lots of flowers with the moonlight shining beautifully. Leggy faced Goofball completely, and put one arm around his neck and smiled. Goofball knew where this was going, and put an arm around her waist. They stood there awkwardly for a moment, neither of them knew how to dance.

Eyeball: Uh....what are they doing?

After a few more seconds, Leggy took a step back, Goofball followed. Then another, then another on forward. They tried to increase the pace, but they kept making mistakes like stepping on eachother's feet. Amd Goofball wasn't even looking at her.

Army: Well this is going horribly, maybe we won't even need to sabatoge the date.

Leggy could tell this wasn't going the way she wanted but that wasn't going to stop her from trying. The dancing was awkward for a few more seconds, but Leggy slowly learned what mistakes not to make. The dance was less awkward but Goofball still wasn't paying any attention. Leggy stopped for a moment and made him looked at her. She wiped the tears away amd smiled at him warmly. A smile appeared on his face briefly. Leggy continued, now with Goofball actually looking at her.

Navy: Oh shoot.....uh, get some rocks to throw at her.

The Rubies all got some small rocks, not enough to ruin the date. After a few more moves, Goofball suddenly dipped Leggy. A small smiled appeared on his face. Leggy smiled back and they continued. The other Rubies lowered the rocks a bit.

Navy: What are you doing?

Eyeball: He's...smiling.

Navy: What?

Army: He's...happy again.

Doc: We're not gonna take that from him.

The longer the dance went on, the bigger Goofball's smile got. The Rubies expect Navy dropped the rock.

Eyeball: Are you gonna make him sad again?

Navy: What? I-I...wha...?

Goofball started to giggle a bit and Leggy joined him. They were less dancing and more jumping up and down like little girls. Navy sighed and dropped the rock.

Navy: Fine.

Doc: Let's just go back to the ship.

The Rubies left. Navy looked back at Leggy and Goofball and frowned, before joining the others. Goofball and Leggy started to full on laugh. Leggy put a hand on his cheek.

Leggy: There it is.

Goofball: *sniff* Yeah...thanks Leggy, this was the best date ever.

Leggy smiled and the two hugged.

Goofball: We uh, we should probably get back. Here, I'll carry you.

Goofball picked up Leggy bridal style.

Goofball: ...Hey Leggy?

Leggy: Yeah?

Goofball: Don't tell others about what I said ok? I don't want them worrying about me.

Leggy nodded and patted his head. With that, he zoomed off back to the ship.
