Marissa pov

I followed Red into the woods, not in a creepy way but to just make sure he doesn't get hurt. There are also other living creatures on this island other then us. I'm guessing Red didn't hear me before because I accidently steped on a stick and it broke. He turned around so quickly I'm surprised he didn't hurt himself during the process.

"Holy shit! Don't do that!" Red said relived it's just me. I smiled and walked in front of him taking the lead. He followed. "So um....we only have two days? Doesn't that mean the world's going to be destroyed by then?" Red asked breaking the silents. "Um...no not exactly. You see, this place can pause time if you want it to. So here it's going to be two days but in the real world it's going to be the same time when we were there." I explained to Red while he listened and noded. I blushed at the sight of him but I looked away so he wouldn't see.

"So....how long have you been with Carnation? Wait, not dating but I mean knowing each other." Red asked correcting himsel. I blushed even harder, until realizing what he mentioned. I looked up at the trees and tried to find the words to come out. "We known each other ever since I got my powers. She was our leader. She trained us with nothing. We only had sticks and the woods. She was new to being a leader but she got used to it. We started out with nothing. She helped us to form into who we are." I sniffed.

"Im...sorry for bringing it up." Red apologized. "It's fine. I just never thought she would do that. She had so much to live for. At least she's with him." "Him? Who's him?" Red said curiously. "She was married, but to an mortal. You see, if you marry a mortal you turn weak. It's against the rules to marry a mortal. We're not even allowed to show ourselves to mortals. But she fell in live with someone she was protecting and she showed herself to him. He also fell in love and they got married. The word got out and she was disowned to all demons around." I said with a sigh.

"Demons? I don't think you're a demon." Red said stomping to look at me. I felt the warmness of my checks. I smiled and gave a look to tell him thank you. He noded and we continued to walk but instead we walked side by side. "So it's against the rules to show yourself to a mortal? Then what happens if you get caught?" Red asked. "We get.....destroyed. They torture you until you break. And then...die." "w.....why so brutal?! You only showed yourself to another person! You shouldn't have to die! Even if it means dieing, then why torture?!" Red asked so shocked he had stoped walking.

"Because they don't want anyone to do it. We are not people. We are fucking demons. We only help people and they don't know it. If we show ourselves we die. Carnation almost got caught multiple times, she never had. Until they found her.....weakness. her husband." I said looking at the ground with anger. "First off you're not a fucking demon! You're the nicest person know. And second what happened to her husband?" "Like I said. If you marry a mortal you get weak. They found him and killed him. That was her weakness." I said watching as the tears fell to the ground. I closed my eyes imaging the sight of Carnation and her husband, they were so happy.

I felt something warm on my shoulder. I glanced up as saw red with sad eyes trying to confort me. He cupped my chin and made me look at him. He wiped the tears away. I smiled and thanked him. He noded. "But I thought you can't die unless you gave up your powers, how could they kill you?" Red asked. "Demons can kill demons. But that it. You can't die from anything else....unless you've given up." I said clutching my fist. Carnation shouldn't have died! She.....she was part of my family. "I'm sorry....she died for a good cause." Red whispered. I shook my head in anger. "NO SHE ONLY DIED BECAUSE SHE LOST EVERYTHING!" I yelled.

Red looked shocked but also sad. But what does he know?! We only met like maybe two days ago? He doesn't understand. "No red's right." I herd a familiar voice said. I turned around to see chan. Adam ran right beside her. "Whatever. She still lost everything and now you're going to have the same faith!" I hissed. "And who said I'm letting that happened? Look Marissa I know it's hard right now but....we need to work together on this. We can't mess up this time." Chan said trying to calm me down. "Mess it up? Who's the one who messed it up lats time?!" I spat trying to get some distance between them. "I know and I'm sorry!" She yelled running after me.

Chan grabed my hand and pulled me back. "What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled while trying to struggle free. Chan grabed my other arm and tried to get control of me as I tried to escape. "Please we need to work this out!" She pleaded. I struggled frantically but nothing seemed to work until chan's grip losses and she moved her hand to my back giving me a hug. "I miss her to." She said. I could feel her breath shaking, which means she's crying.....I never seen her cry. Nor have she seen me cry. We always been so caught up in our jobs that we never really talked that much.

"I......I want her back." I said as hot tears started falling from my face. I saw the blurs of Adam and Red walking closer to us. They started to hug us. We all stood there with so much emotions in one pile. Love, sadness, happiness, and so much more. Everything seemed silent. It was peaceful. Until......we herd screaming coming from the woods and footsteps running. We all stoped hugging each other and ran to the noise without even hesitating. Once we got to where the screaming was coming from we saw.....of course Em.

Adam's pov

We ran to the screaming and saw.....Em in a small ditch. I rolled my eyes and looked at chan and Marissa. "How did she get here?!" I asked knowing the answer. "She must have....snuck in as Carnation teliported us." Chan shrugged. The two girls started to walk forward to em but admeatly stoped. They looked at us for a moment and whispered together in a different language. "Ok this is your first traing session." Marissa annonces. "Wait....how and is Em in dangour?" Red asked in concern. "Oh no! She just fell that's it." Chan said. "Okay but how are we supposed to get her out?" Red questioned. Really I just want her to stay in there. She disrespected chan and could have gotten her killed. And I told her that she should've stayed home!

Red, chan, and Marissa all looked at me."What?" I asked alittle confuse and nervous. "Look." Chan said pointing at what had been the big hole but now is a wooden Plat form with Em on it. My mouth dropped as I looked surprised at the others. "OH MY FUCKING GOODNESS DID YOU SEE THAT?!" I yelled while jumping in the air with excitement. "See? You already got the thinking part down!" Chan said smirking. "Ok can anyone explain?!" Em said looking horrified. Chan rolled her eyes and walked to Marissa. "Shes all yours." Chan whispered  to Marissa and walked behind her.
