it's already around 10pm in the night and there is still a lot to finish in the preparations. the workers were finally able to finish the runaway stage with the help of the guys and the clothes are all washed and ready to be tried. but the problem does not lie with the stage or the clothes that the participants need but with the items. the main singers are Natalia, Markle, Rodrigo and Shanon. Natalia and Markle are juniors who can definitely make the crowd go crazy but unfortunately out of all the days Natalia has a sore throat. though there are other singers she is the lead female singer who has many high notes to sing. even if she managed to sing the low notes, high notes are gonna be a real pain in the neck with her condition unless she miraculously gets all better for tomorrow as tomorrow everyone will be there to see the items and the progress. Mrs. Bella was already asking students around if they can sing high notes and some try to sing them.

Singing item aside, the dancing item is a disaster. well not that much of a disaster but that's exactly what i'm saying. they are not in sync at all. though Mrs. Ella tried to bring everyone to practice together, but every single day at least one of them was missing due to competitions and extra classes. i could clearly see that Ella was getting worried and angry while she was watching the girls dancing. she didn't say anything but it was all clear that she was waiting until they finish dancing to give a piece of her mind.

other than those two everything was going smoothly. Yuki, Andrew and Chloe are walking on the runaway with some other models. i have to admit they look good well i was mainly focused on the other models as there was one guy who's super hot. i have seen him somewhere but can't pinpoint where exactly. Carter was standing on the left side with Mike and MacKenzie while i was on the right side of the stage. it's not like i'm ignoring or avoiding him but you can say i'm just waiting for him to apologize for creating a scene. at least i know for sure that he hasn't called my parents as if he did i would have gotten calls from both mom and dad. i didn't realize i was staring at him until he started waving his hand over his face. i gave little smile and looked away, you can say i'm a little prideful. 

Suddenly out of nowhere i heard someone calling my name. i was wrapping some gifts to give to the chief guests and i almost cut my hand. i looked back at the stage and saw both the music and the dancing teacher waving at me. i knew what was going to come. standing up and walking towards them i said out loud, "whatever that's on your heads i'm not gonna do, ok?"

they both looked at each other, chuckling said, "pretty please with a cherry on top!" i shook my head saying i wouldn't do it. "I can help, but i can't do it."

well, i still got on to the stage and stood right in front of them, finally trying to listen to what exactly they have to ask me. But the talk was interrupted by a sudden BANG that came across the room and everyone turned around. it is definitely not good news. the decor that covered the door had fallen to the ground with all the lights that we attached to it carefully. The good news was no one was near the decor so no body got hurt but the bad news is that, it took entire two weeks to make the decor as it was all kinds of flowers that we made using different materials. there must have been more than hundred flowers that all the committee members and others stayed up all night making. the lights are not that hard but they are costly and something that we cannot afford as we need the remaining to pay for the models and the music band plus the DJ to spend. 

My Aunt, the principal came with the other staff members right when the decor was carefully put aside and the broken glass were swept. she looked so worried that the first thing she asked was if anyone of us got injured. she gave out a loud sigh when we all said none of us got hurt. while she went on talking with the other staff members, after Mrs. Ella and Bella joined them and then the workers.

on the other hand, I was so exhausted that i could barely keep standing straight. So i got to the corner of the stage and sat wondering what we are going to do about the decor. we don't have enough time to make the same. 

"Hey, can i sit next to you?" someone suddenly asked standing behind me. I looked up to see Carter standing there scratching his head. Did i ever tell you that he scratches his head when he's nervous. oh well never mind. Carter is not hot but he's definitely the handsome type and i never admit it but when i was small, i was quite adamant about marrying him. i patted the spot next to me. I didn't say anything. i didn't have to because he started talking almost immediately.

"Becca, i'm sorry about all the things i told to you. I know more than anyone that it's been so hard to you. being .. you know his daughter and the accident and everything." I looked to face him and was met with his light brown eyes, "It just i got so worried that you will have to go through something like that again and i thought you didn't tell me because.. well.. i don't know."

i put my hands on his hands and held them, "Carter, i know and i'm sorry too. but i like working there. i finally feel free." He chuckled and said, "your eyes are shining you know." confused i started blinking and he started laughing loud amidst the crisis we are on. "the last time i saw your eyes shining was when you first modeled for a magazine. i won't stop you, sis nor will i tell your parents. but just please at least tell me when you are going because then i know where to find you in case something happens." and there goes his over-protectiveness. "I will", i said hugging him.

"Look who's having a moment", we both looked up to see Andrew and Chloe looking at us. We just shrugged but Andrew added, "they want to speak with you for a sec" and motioned to where the teachers were standing. 'Great' i mumbled standing up and walking towards them, while Yuki was making her way towards us.

 "Andrew told me that you guys wanted to speak with me?" the staff members turned my way hearing my voice. Except the Principal and Mrs. Ella and Mrs. Bella, left us to ourselves and Teddy for my surprise joined the group and he  was equally surprised to see me.  before answering me, our music teacher pointed to Teddy and told, "Theodore will be joining as a guitarist and he will sing one part of the chorus of the main song." Well i don't know how they made him to do but it's a good pick as he can sing and play the guitar really well. 

Mrs. Bella turned my way and i knew what was going to come. "Look Rebecca, i really didn't want to ask you but i'm asking you this as a favor as you should know by now Natalie might not be able to sing unless her sore throat gets better." i gave a slight nod without saying anything while she continued, "i'm not asking you to be the lead singer but the back up singer of her. if she gets well, you don't have to perform, but if she didn't well you know."

It's not like i don't like singing or dancing . i really do love them but the reason is i didn't exactly get back to doing them after my accident. i tried, but my parents were so against me starting again. And if they get to know that i would dance or sing or both, in front of a crowd, specially without them here with me, my dad would actually ask me to come back. he's not a strict father but after the accident which almost costed my life, he was not taking any more chances and he definitely wouldn't think twice sending me guards. 

"Fine. I'll do it." the teachers were taken back with my sudden response even my Aunt. it seems they weren't thinking that i would actually agree. but i really want to help because i have seen how much the other students were preparing for this even without getting enough sleep. well i'm hoping that my parents won't get to hear about this, specially my dad, my mom would understand why i did what i did but my dad is too over-protective sometimes.
