I'm really sorry that it took me so long to get this chapter out. I have a extreme problem with writing Hospital scenes, and this one hit hard. Sorry if it seems almost...robotic. I kinda wrote it without thinking and it might not be my best writing. I would also like to note that I am NOT a medical professional. I know nothing about medicine and doctors and such, so I'm sorry if I got anything wrong. Thank you so much for being patient with me and I'm once again sorry that my own personal problem kept me from writing this chapter.

Bakugou stayed silent after that. He felt the anticipation practically prickling his skin. But he also felt the hollow ache in his chest from the understanding that he's most likely going to be let down with the outcome.
The second the elevator doors slid open Bakugou had a thought struck his mind. He felt like such a idiot for not doing it sooner but he didn't dwell on that. He quickly exited the elevator and also snatched his phone out of his pocket. Without even glancing at it he dialed his mother's number and placed his phone to his ear. After the second beep his mother's groggily angry night voice screamed out of the phone. "WHAT THE LIVING FUCK COULD BE SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAD TO WAKE ME UP AT FUCKING 1 IN THE GOD DAMN MORNING?" She screamed, venom leaking from her voice. Bakugou hissed at the extremely loud voice and turned down the volume. "It's about Inko." He stated, taking a hesitant glance over at Izuku. The greenette flinched but understood why Bakugou was calling Mitsuki.
"Inko? What happened to Inko?" Mitsukis voice quieted down however there was no hiding the urgency in her tone. Bakugou stayed silent for a moment, trying to find the perfect words to tell his mother, however he just couldn't. He wasn't good at telling bad news to people, or at least doing it without making the person cry even harder. Before Bakugou could even try to explain it his phone was slowly taken out of his grasp. He glanced back over at Izuku and watched him mouth a 'Let me' as he put the phone to his ear.
"U-h," His voice quivered but he continued. "My mother- well- the doctors say she overdosed. Uhm... we are at the hospital...." He stopped at that, unable to continue. He quickly handed the phone back to Bakugou who sighed and placed it back to his own ear. "Which hospital?" Mitsuki asked. In the background you could hear her waking Masaru up and forcing him out the door and into the car. "Tokyo Hospital. Room 815." He responded and the call ended. As it did, Izuku and Bakugou were met with the door to room 815.
Both boys paused, taking a extremely deep breath, before Bakugou finally slid open the glass and pushed pass the curtain.
Inko Midoriya laid in a bulky hospital bed, tubes connected through her noise. She looked sickly, her cheeks sunken in, extremely pale. The roundness of her face was long gone from the last time Bakugou had seen her. Her hair was thin and frail, sticking every which way on the silk pillow. There was a large bandage on her shoulder that wrapped down her right arm. A few needles from her drip and other medication were placed on both of her arms. She was also extremely thin. Unhealthily thin. Izuku had noticed before but he never saw the extent of what her eating habit had done to her. She just looked so fragile. Like paper thin glass.
Izuku stopped dead in his tracks and stared in disbelief and horror. He covered his mouth to conceal his gasp. His vision went blurry once again as new tears jumped from his emerald eyes, silently falling down his freckled face. He began running forward and carefully embraced his mother. She slowly stirred, barley opening her eyes. Izuku stared into her red rimed green eyes and found himself sobbing into his mother's chest, whispering apologies to her. She gently grasped his hand with her pale, weak hand. Her hand was ruff and dry but it still gave Izuku the sense of comfort he had loved since childhood. He grasped back almost urgently. "I'm sorry I'm sorry. I wasn't there for you I'm sorry-" She carefully placed her finger in front of his mouth, silencing him. "Izu, I love you. This isn't your fault." She croaked, giving him a tired smile. Izuku couldn't stop the tears from flowing down his face. He hadn't cried this hard in a very very long time.
As they were having their long awaited moment, Bakugou had stepped outside, giving them privacy. He also had a doctor come up to him, asking who he was and whatever else he needed. Once he explained who he was and who he was with, the doctor began walking Bakugou through what was happening with Inko. He explained that this was just incase. Since Inko had overdosed her body had began shutting down. It was slow at first so the doctors thought they would be able to stop it, however when they began working on her there was a complication. Apparently there had been damage to her lungs that they hadn't noticed before. It got increasingly worst while under anesthesia and they had to stop working on her. After a couple tests they ran into the problem that the drug she took caused her lungs to begin to collapse. After that they got more and more bad news. Her left liver was shutting down, she had difficulties doing simple tasks, and since yesterday morning she was having problems remembering her past. The doctor told Bakugou that the only things she remembered only went back a few months. He told Bakugou the terrible news that she most likely only has a few days left. If they are correct then her left liver will completely shut down and so will her right. By next week her lungs will collapse and she will be gone. He told him that they are doing absolutely everything in their power to keep her alive.
Right after Dr. Marchee finished, Mitsuki and Masaru rounded the corner to the hall and Mitsuki began running towards the door, hurrying inside. Masaru stayed back with the doctor and Bakugou.
Izuku turned as he heard the curtain being quickly pushed aside. He met Mitsukis gaze and saw as her pupils shrunk and her eyes begin to water. Izuku glanced back at his mother. "Do you mind giving us a moment, Izu?" She whispered to her son. Izuku nodded and sniffled, leaning down and kissing his mother's forehead. He shakily got up, giving his mother a depressing smile, and slowly turned to leave. As he passed Mitsuki she gave the greenette a hug then continued over to Inko. He sighed and pushed pass the curtain, surprised to find Bakugou, Masaru, and a doctor.
"Izuku Midoriya, I'm Dr.Marchee, we spoke on the phone." The doctor calmly stated, noting the red rim around Izukus eyes. Izuku nodded, wiping his face. "I'll leave you all be for a little, however, Mr.Bakugou," Masaru nodded. " Do you mind coming with me? I have a few things I need to speak over with a adult." He motioned to Bakugou and Izuku, "If you two need anything, please inform a nurse. There is a red button beside Mrs. Midoriyas bed if anything happens." Dr.Marchee and Masaru turned and left, leaving Bakugou and Izuku in silence. Both thinking over how everything could happen so quickly.
Izuku took a seat on one of the chairs that were placed outside of Inkos door, placing his scarred hands on his wet face. Bakugou chose not to say anything yet, and instead decided to simply take the seat next to the greenette. The blonde took a long and much needed sigh. As he placed his head in his own hands he noticed that Izuku was no longer wearing his black band. Bakugou shot his head up, staring at Izukus wrist.

The very second Izuku closed the curtain behind himself, Mitsuki latched herself onto her high school best friend, tears yet to fall building up in her eyes.
"Y-you can't leave me..." Mitsuki whispered, grabbing tighter onto Inko. The frail mother slightly broke apart from the hug and put a hand to Mitsukis face. "I'm sorry." Is all she said before weakly hugging back.
Mitsuki and Inko has known each other since freshman year of high school. Inko usually kept herself. She was not the most social person, or at least, that's what she lead on. She had a very close group of friends, they were sometimes mistaken as a family more then a group of friends. All her friends would've easily explained her as a talkative, exciting, and kind girl. However, they never did. Their group was the outcasts. No one really spoke to them in high school, or middle school. People found their closeness a little odd.
Mitsuki on the other hand barley even associated herself with the human race. She was a lot like her son in that way. She had one close friend, or at least that was what people had assumed after some Seniors had gone snooping in her phone, that lived miles and miles away.
Inko and Mitsuki never spoke before, only ever passed each other in the halls. That is intel Mitsuki decided to form a volleyball team since their school didn't have one and Mitsuki was very fond of the sport. After seeing some posters, and having her friends peer pressure her, she decided to join the team. She figured it would look good for a scholarship as well as be a easy activity and fun to take part in.
Since Inko had never been the best at sports, and was incredibly afraid of the ball, she needed a lot of guidance if she was ever going to actually play in a game. That's where Mitsuki comes in. Since she was the best player and the best teacher on the team, she put it on herself to teach Inko. It took a incredibly long time but she finally became a extremely great player, almost as good as Mitsuki on her best days.
During all her training, a friendship bloomed between the two, one that had stuck all through high school and college, even in adulthood. They were as close as peas in a pod, they knew everything about each other, and had been together through their worsts and their bests. Now, seeing Inko, who she hadn't seen in about a year, in a hospital bed because of the man Mitsuki had forced to plague his full heart to Inko during college, that was heart breaking. To make matters even worst, it was her death bed. She was going to die. Oh god, her best friend was dying.
Mitsuki didn't know how to respond. Her first emotion was pure anger to the one who caused this, but after the car ride there, she felt mortified and depressed. She found it insane that the same person who had once forced her to apologize to a service dog for accidentally bumping slightly into it as it was on duty, the same woman who had fought tooth and nail to allow her son to have the best childhood as possible, the same person who had found a box of abandoned puppies and without even hesitating taken them in and nursed every single one back to health and found a home for each one, was dying. She found it so absolutely absurd that someone so wonderful, so kind, so caring, had to die so damn young. For crying out loud the lady hadn't even made it to her fifties.
And just below her sorrow lingered her burning hatred for Hisashi Midoriya. She didn't care that he wasn't the main reason for Inko's state of heath but just from what Izuku had said, that his father was the one who inflicted all of Izukus injuries, Mitsuki felt she had full right to blame Hisashi for some part in this mess. But now was not the time to ask Inko any questions about it, she needed to spend as much time as possible with her.
"You have always been like a sister to me, Mitsuki. Thank you for everything." Inko weakly weeped into Mitsukis shoulder. "Oh shut up, I should be thanking you." Even with the situation, Mitsuki couldn't help but have her normal personality. "I-...Is it bad I'm kinda glad?" Inko whispered, horror leaking into her voice. "I never have to see him again..." She clarified, shaking her head in her own selfishness. Mitsuki didn't respond, she didn't know how to. Instead she simply started rubbing circles on Inkos back."But I can't keep thinking, what about Izuku?" She started, taking a deep breath. "He still will have to face him. And if he chooses to live at home...he is still going to be hurt.." Inko pulled back, staring her closest friend in the eyes. "Mitsuki," She whispered, holding onto her shoulders, "Promise me you'll take care of him." A single tear ran down her slightly freckled cheek. Mitsuki felt her tears slowly fall, in a fit of emotions she grabbed back onto Inko.
"I promise. I fucking promise." She whispered into Inkos shoulder. "I'll keep him safe and," Mitsuki paused, taking in a deep breath. "It might be useful to try and get him and Katsuki closer. Izuku is going to need someone who would understand him." Inko slowly shook her head, a fond smile plastered on her face. "Katsuki might be a dick, but he has a soft side. I've seen it." Mitsuki let out a small laugh. Inko and Mitsuki pulled apart, both smiling. "I trust no one more then I trust you to know him." Inko whole heartily responded.
"Now how about we wish them both a happy birthday? I can bet you haven't wish him one yet, and Izuku has something you might wanna see."
